Can he be a reliable running back 1?

  1. Sure looks like it. But Kamara is under contract through 2026 so unless he’s cut/traded I don’t really see Miller being anything other than 1B until 2027.

  2. I think we need to move beyond RB 1 & 2. These two truly should be ending game with about 15 touches/targets per

  3. TBF they are entirely different types of backs and I think using them like we used Kamara with Ingram.

  4. Going into this season I had absolutely zero expectations for Kendra. Tbh we sucked so bad last year that after the 2-0 collapse I checked out. But this season KM looks explosive, fast and decisive. Dare I say him and AK could be a 2 headed monster. I think we need to give them MORE touches and a few more looks in the pass game, especially AK, and this offense will start clicking like crazy.

  5. As someone who watched Kendre in college at TCU and followed his journey with the Saints closely, no.

Kendre is a good running back with decent speed, good physicality, and above average football IQ. I’d put him in the B or C tier, below S and A tier.

BUT he has struggled to stay healthy, mostly with lower body injuries. He’s also benefitting from being the counterpart to a true RB1 in Kamara.

I see his ceiling being a David Montgomery, JK Dobbins, Brian Robinson, or Kenneth Walker. All are able to be RB1 in a pinch, but functions much better in 2 back systems.

IMO, he will never be able to do what AK41 did for us, but I would love to see him become that guy.
