Cincinnati Reds’ Promising Season CRUMBLES In Wild Card

It was sometimes good, it was sometimes bad, and it was sometimes ugly. But with the second loss to the Dodgers in the wildard round, the Cincinnati Red’s 2025 season has officially come to an end. [Music] You are Locked on Reds, your daily Cincinnati Reds podcast, part of the Locked On podcast network, your team every day. Welcome in to the Locked On Reds podcast. My name is Jeff Carr. His name is Steve Offenbaker. We are lifelong Cincinnati Reds fans and we’ve been podcasting about this team for a combined 14 seasons. We’re glad that you’re alongside us here today. The Locked On Reds is part of the Locked On podcast network. We are your team, your Cincinnati Reds every single day. And on today’s show, we’re going to vent. We’re going to talk about 18 innings of torture. Um the Reds made the playoffs and uh they’re done. So, there’s that. And I would uh welcome you to jump into the comments section. Give us your thoughts. Uh, let us know what you’re thinking, what you’re feeling, everything, anything, everything. Look, if if if you’re going to jump in here and say whatever it is that you want to say about these Cincinnati Reds, go right on ahead because the season is over. And look, I I love my Reds so much, and I think that’s why I feel this loss so deeply. I feel I feel this series. I I I wanted to see close competitive baseball and we constantly said all year, just make it to the dance. You got the pitching, Steve. Where did the pitching go? They left it in Cincinnati, my friend. Um, some of that is on the players. There is a portion of that that falls squarely on the shoulders of Tito, which we’re going to get into here a little bit later in the show, but the fact remains, Jeff, the season is over. Now, there are Look, Auntie Darlene, I hear you. There are some silver linings. There are some things the Reds scored against the Los Angeles Dodgers. They They made the Dodgers work for it. That doesn’t forgive some of the missteps along the way. That doesn’t forgive having the bases loaded with nobody out, not getting any runs. That doesn’t forgive the starting pitching, forgetting how to do what brought them here. But they made the Dodgers work for it. It wasn’t a 20 to nothing drubbing two days in a row. There are things to be excited about and there are things that need a lot of work. And like you, Jeff, I have loved this team all my life. And this team breaks my heart most seasons. And I there’s going to be a lot of time for offseason reflection. And we’re going to set that up even later in the show today in the third segment. But I think where we just we just I think where we really need to get started, Jeff, is how two days in a row the Reds have just really managed to let things get away from them when it didn’t have to be. It didn’t have to be that way. They didn’t have to go that way. The game didn’t have to play out the way that it did. And yet it did 100%. And I it starts with the pitching and I I definitely want to get into the Terry Francona of it all because I hear you. If you’re in the comments section, you’re firing off about Terry Franona. I understand it. We’re we’re going to talk about that here in a few minutes. But where we start has to be with the pitching and it’s the fact that Hunter Green, Nicolado, Andrew Abbott, which for whatever reason, Andrew Abbott didn’t ever touch the mound in in these two games, but Nicolo only throws 14 pitches and he looked good, but for some reason was pulled after 14 pitches. Something we’ll talk about in a few minutes with Terry Francona. But the whole thing about this was the Reds could limit the runs, and they absolutely didn’t do that. They give up 18 runs in two games. And I don’t care how bad the Dodgers bullpen is, which is bad. And my hot take, it ain’t very hot. It’s pretty lukewarm. They’re going to lose in the next round to the Phillies because this Dodgers team is not good. This Dodgers team can hit, but if they face a pitching staff that doesn’t get just absolutely blinded by the bright lights like the Phillies pitching staff will not, then they’re not going to advance because Yeah. the the the Philadelphia Phillies watched this series and should be sending a gift basket to Cincinnati. Should be sending some thank you cards to Cincinnati because you know what the takeaway is for the Philadelphia Phillies? We’re going to go into every game. We’re going to foul off as many pitches as possible. We’re going to make the starting pitching throw 100 pitches through five innings and we’re going to decimate this bullpit. The Philadelphia Phillies lineup is going to absolutely destroy the Dodgers bullpit. and they’ve got the Cincinnati Reds to thank for the blueprint. Their their bullpen’s going to destroy them. Their starting pitching is gonna destroy them because I thought that the Reds matched up with with the Dodgers and starting pitching because the Dodgers have good starting pitching. That that was never something that we were like, “Oh, the Reds can just get all over their starting pitching. It was about the bullpit and the and the Dodgers starting pitching did its job because the Red’s lineup had no teeth. LA Cruz didn’t show up. We we didn’t see any clutch hitting. There was no clutch hitting to be found. South Stewart provided the most clutch hitting we saw and he only played in game two. He played for like a minute in game one, but whatever. Like I I just I I go back on the fact that okay, we got here because of run prevention and the Reds were just not preventing runs. And and and that was where everything stemmed from because if you can’t pitch and you’re a team that is supposed to be good at pitching, then you’re going to lose. It just does not matter. This this lineup was never going to cover the defects of a pitching staff that got its I mean it it it got its can kicked all over the field, Steve. It it was so unfortunate to see because these guys had much better years than we saw. And if this was our last impression of Nick Martinez, that’s so unfortunate because Nick Martinez has had a good time here in Cincinnati. I’m going to remember some good things about Nick Martinez, but his very last act will be just getting clobbered by this Dodgers lineup. Yeah. And and and and he won’t be back. He’s he’s going to command more money than the Reds are going to give him. Um they probably um are still shocked that he took the qualifying offer and that they ended up having to pay that. Um I do want to focus in on good things when you say them, Jeff. Circle back to Sal Stewart for just a second. Sal Stewart cemented his spot in competing to be a starter on this team next year. Sal Stewart will be in spring training. That is a great way for him to finish the season. A great impression to leave on the coaching staff, on the fans of this team. Uh a great confidence builder as he heads into the winter and works on things. Uh he can come into spring training and battle and be a big part of this team in 2026. really really happy for the success he had both in during the time of his callup and more specifically in his first playoff action as a member of the Cincinnati Reds. What a great showing for South Stewart. He’s going to be fun to root for. I I He’s got so much personality, but he steps up to the plate and I don’t care who he’s facing. He’s like, “I’m going to hit you. I don’t care who you are. You’re going to throw me a pitch that eventually I’m going to clobber.” And and he he showed that. He exuded that. It seemed like there were so many at bats by Austin Hayes, by Ellie de la Cruz, by Spencer Steer, uh, by Matt Mlan where there were pitches that looked like they could hit, but because they were looking for something else, they didn’t. There was a lot of this is what I’m looking for and then whenever they didn’t get that, they didn’t succeed. And and they not just taking the game as it as it happened to them. So they were not able to catch up to what the Dodgers were doing where this was a different game for the Dodgers lineup where they didn’t clobber a billion home runs. It was just double here, double there. We had a walk here, a double here, double there, just good hitting. The the thing that we hear a lot about this lineup for the Reds is that they’re all about, you know, good, you know, solid line drive, timely hitting. That’s what the Dodgers just did to this pitching staff and and and it was unreoverable from and and it’s so frustrating because that is what has been the strength of this team all year. And if anybody went all year without watching the Reds and they saw these two games, they said, “Boy, this team needs a lot of work.” And I think it needs a little bit of work this off seasonason for sure on the lineup side of stuff, but man, the pitching is really promising moving into the offseason. It’s just these last two games didn’t show anything of that kind. No. And you’re right about the the hitters in the batters box. There was a lot of intellectual constipation amongst the Reds hitters. They just were just all bound up. That Cincy shirts. There you go. There’s your offseason shirt for Cincy shirts. Intellectual constipation. That goes right next to the cockroach shirt. I don’t think I want that. It’s going to be a brown shirt. It’s going to be a brown shirt. Um, at any rate, uh, you know, I don’t know how many innings I don’t know how many innings the Red’s hitters needed to see Yamamoto drop that breaker on the on the corner of the plate and not know that it was coming. I knew it was coming. You knew it was coming. Well, and then he switched and they laid off of those, too. Like, the only thing they were looking for was the slider low or the the the the split finger low. And to their credit, they didn’t get beat by that. But they got beat by every other pitch he threw. They sure did. And listen, you know who else got beat? Let’s talk about the Tito of it all. We’re going to get into that coming up next. And while I’ve got a second, Jeff, I just want to take a real quick opportunity to say, you know what, Tim Daniel, you crushed it with the postcast in the 2025 season. Hopefully can’t wait to see you back for 2026. Love what you brought to the channel. always appreciate you filling in when Jeff’s gone and being my uh my backup co-host over there. Great, great work, Tim. We appreciate you so much. Absolutely. And it’s been a great season overall and we’re going to be with you all throughout the offseason. We’re going to try to bring on Tim every so often to talk about what’s going on with the Reds, maybe review some different things. I mean, coming up next week, we’re going to really dive into lessons that the Reds learned this year, both good and bad. I mean, there’s definitely good to this season. you make the playoffs, there’s there’s good. It’s just going through these two games, man. I I I really wish I could come up with a better way to say 18 innings of torture. And I really felt like game two was a lot of mismanagement by Terry Frankota. I I I think that coming into the game, he should have changed his starting pitcher, and you mentioned that on the show before the game. We we talked about this after game one that Zack Latell shouldn’t start. He should maybe come out of the bullpin if you need him to, but Andrew Abbott should start, but instead Andrew Abbott is sitting on the bench. Didn’t affect this series at all. And he was arguably the best pitcher this season on the team and he did not He’s the team leader team leader in war. He led the whole of the team in wins above replacement. He was the best pitcher on this team. Makes no sense. Makes no sense why he didn’t get into this series at all. And then whenever Zack Latell pitched, it was almost as if Terry Franka thought he was going to go five innings and get a win or something. Like he kept he kept leaving him in. And I understand that for the most part, he was limiting the Dodgers for those first three innings. But limiting was kind of luck cuz think about some of the outs was getting hard hit hard hit balls that were being caught, different things like that. And he was leaving fast balls out over the plate that were just barely being missed by the Dodgers. And for that I I I was like, Tito, wake up, dude. Like, what are you waiting for? In fact, in fact, you sent that text to the group chat at the same time that both myself and Tim Daniel were going, “Do not let him go back out there.” And you were saying, “Do not let him go back out there.” And Twitter X was saying, “Do not let him go back out there.” The only person that thought that he should go back out there was Terry Franon and it didn’t make any sense whatsoever. And then he brings in Nicolo, and Nicolo throws 14 pitches. And quite frankly, had it not been for the dominance of Chase Burns later on, because Chase Burns actually threw less pitches than Nicolola did and he got more outs than Nicolo did. But Nicolola would have thrown the least amount of pitches, the fewest pitches of any pitcher that got into this game for the Reds. And that makes no sense whatsoever either because if you’re talking about best pitchers on the team this year, at least as far as availability is concerned, Andrew Rabbit’s number one. Nicolola is number two. So also number two in war wins above replacement for the Cincinnati Reds. So like Tito like what was that? And then the whole thing with, you know, okay, Dave Roberts is gonna do the weird thing where he brings in Alex Vesia, the left-handed pitcher with two strikes on Will Benson. And then, okay, Tito thinks that he’s like zigging and zagging with Dave Roberts. And so, he brings in Miguel Andrew to face the left-handed pitcher. And Miguel Andrew swings at a ball that Yao Ming would have been like, “Whoa, dude, that’s kind of high.” And there’s and there’s the bat. First of all, first of all, that was such an incredibly unfair ask of Miguel Anduhar to go in on a one-two count off the bench and expect him to do anything. I don’t know what Tito was doing there, but it wasn’t making a good baseball decision. Um, I I I haven’t had time to research this, but I would suspect maybe that that was the first time in baseball history that you got a relief pitcher and a pinch hitter on a one-two count at the same time. It’s probably the first time that’s ever happened and it should never ever happen again. Completely unfair to Miguel Anduvar. Both Tommy and the cowboy were talking about that on the radio broadcast, which by the way, thankfully I was able to sync up the ESPN video with the 700 WW audio because I didn’t want to hear anything that ESPN was having to sell me about the Dodgers. I I heard that from everybody else. They were texting me. They’re like, “Oh my gosh, this sounds like a long commercial for the LA Dodgers.” But whatever. I digress. The whole point of this here was the fact that like they were talking about they’d never seen it before. And up until that point, I wondered a little bit, will we see Will Benson back next year? I don’t think we’re seeing Will Benson in a Red’s uniform next year, Steve. I think this was the last bit where Tito was just like, I don’t trust you at all to do what I need you to do in a clutch situation. And Will Benson came back to the dugout and he was iate. He had every right to be irate and and I think that was it. I don’t know if you caught it, but he left the dugout when they pulled everybody saw it. But the the cameras caught him going down the tunnel and leaving the dugout. He had every right to. Like, you know, you always say you get people like, “Oh, you quit on your team.” He didn’t quit on his team. His manager quit on him. And so like this this was something where I think Terry Francona believed he was playing chess with Dave Roberts when Dave Roberts was playing like Manala or something over here. So I I I don’t I don’t think that Terry Franka had a good day at all. He didn’t have a good day on game one either. He proved to us and the pitching proved to us that managing management is not as important as who’s on the field. Period. Plain and simple. I don’t care the name of the manager. It’s not. I’ I’d like to carry that out a little bit further. I think the problems that we saw from Terry Francona and the decisions he had to make in this wild card series go back a week. I think he made bad decisions a week ago leading into this where he could have set himself up much better for success if he had made some better decisions in the Brewer series and even in back into the Pittsburgh series to to have people available and do certain things. Um he he never was quite able to dig out of it. And look, Terry Francona is not on the hot seat, folks. It’s not a thing. Eric Francona is going to go into Nick Crawl’s office at some point in time in this off seasonason with a year under his belt, a playoff appearance under his belt, and a list of demands. That’s what’s going to happen. And that’s going to be a lot of what we spend the off season talking about. We’re going to talk about what those demands should be. But for right now, Tito could have made several different decisions. Now, I like I like that he wasn’t infraid afraid to employ the intentional walk last night, right? It worked sometimes. Sometimes it didn’t. But man, did he make bad pitching decisions. Just all the way around. Bad pitching decisions. People were coming at me all game long in my mentions on Twitter X. What is wrong with you? Why would you want Andrew Abbott on short rest? Have you seen him pitch? Yes, I’ve seen him pitch. But I know what he had three innings left in that arm. He had three innings, three adrenalinefueled innings in that arm to go tonight. And then you follow him with Nicodolo who could have gone three more and then you could have got to Santion and Pagan. It’s not that hard. It’s not rocket science, but everybody was trying to be cutesy in this Red’s coaching staff and it cost him. Let me ask you this because I saw this take and I I I don’t know that I feel strongly about it, but I’m curious if you do. Tara Fona was being accused of managing game two of the wild card a must-win and if you lose you go home game as if it were a you know game 45 or whatever on a Tuesday on in May. Did you get that impression? Yeah, there was no urgency. Nobody acted with a sense of urgency. The really the only difference I saw in Tito’s managerial style last night versus what I saw from him on opening day or when you and I were at the stadium in April, May, June or July. The only difference was those intentional walks because he doesn’t put a whole lot of guys on with the intentional pass. And he did that last night. That’s the only thing he did different. That’s fair. I I don’t know that I feel strongly about it, but I don’t like the way that he managed. I I did think there was a lack of urgency in getting Zack Lattell out of there. I thought it was weird that he picked Nick Martinez over Chase Burns. Chase Burns looked ridiculously good. Nicolola looked like he could have pitched another inning or two. I It was very strange, very strange the way that he managed, but it’s clear that it’s not all about him because this roster has holes and this off season will be very important. And like you said, Terry Francona should be going to Nick Crawl with some ideas because he’s managed his team for a year now. And as much as he came in here whenever he was hired and he said, “I didn’t make any demands whatsoever.” He better be making demands now as we head into the off season. Because that’s going to be a big thing of what we’re going to be talking about coming up here next week. This episode is brought to you by Prize Picks. All right, Steve, as we really get into the the end of this here, and we’re Look, this is it. This is this is we’re not going to go crazy about complaining about these games much past this point. This is kind of our cathartic release and things like that. And we’re going to start to look forward. So, as we start to look forward, let’s reset a little bit. I think that helps. So, we’ll reset a little bit as we as we move forward here because the off season is going to be pivotal and and I know that there’s a lot of negativity out there right now where people are like, man, they’re not going to do anything. They’re just going to sit on their hands and they think that everybody’s going to get better and that’s going to be the plan for the offseason. And I find it hard to believe that Terry Francona is going to allow that to happen. Yeah, I agree with that. I I mean it. He’s got to go into Nick Crawl’s office with a list because he’s got he’s as frustrated as we are, he does walk into that meeting with a little bit of of capital to spend. He did in fact get this team into the postseason. He did end their scoreless playoff innings drought. he got some runs on the board. Um, he also carries with him the the clout of having won everywhere that he’s ever gone. So, he’s going to go into that meeting and he should specifically have a list of demands about improving the bullpin, about fixing this god-awful outfield and bringing in the power hitters that we’ve said they’ve needed all along. Yeah. And, you know, some strategic changes along the way. Um, that absolutely has to happen and it has to happen early. um you know it can’t wait and I and I hope that when this team gets back to Cincinnati and as they’re doing their end of year meetings which is a thing that the managing and the coaching staff does with the with the general manager and with the president of baseball operations. Terry should already have that list and he should be like here’s some things for you to think about Nick and slide that across his desk uh because those are going to be the keys to whether or not this team can rise and compete even more in 2026. When I hearken back to a conversation that he had with beat reporters, I want to say it was probably about a month ago or so when people were bringing up the problem of power with this lineup and it was no longer, well, you know, we just, you know, we got to string his together, we got to build rallies, we got to do all this other stuff. His response to it was, well, it’s a little bit late in the season to be worrying about that now. That’s something we have to address in the offseason. It’s like, no, he knows. He he gets it. There’s going to be some moves this off season that I believe that the Reds are going to shore up some deficiencies because it feels as though this roster is split in half where you have guys who are good at run prevention and you have guys who are good at run production and they they don’t overlap there. There’s no point where it all works together. There’s a lot of different pieces here. Like that’s why you saw Austin Hayes in right field. And in order to get South Stewart in the ball game, he was at first and Spencer Steel was in left, but they still had Key Brian Hayes at third base. And this was all in game two of the wild card. They cannot go into opening day with those same kind of problems. They’ve got to have guys in defined positions that make sense, commit to something for South Stewart. Sal Stewart needs to be in the lineup every day. Absolutely. But he also needs to have a defined role because he in the in his minor league career he played mostly third base and second base much more third base than he played at second base. Second base was mostly in Dayton because they had Ken Collier at third base. But at the same time it doesn’t feel as though he has been adequately employed. So is he going to be at third base? Is he going to be at first base? Commit to that. Stop moving him around. Find a spot for him. But also on top of that, like they’ve got to make some really hard decisions. And as much as Tim and myself are very bought into the idea of Key Brian Hayes being here for a long time, if he can be part of a trade that makes this team better, go for it. If anybody on this team can be part of a trade that makes this team better, go for it. I don’t know what that looks like. And that is Nick Croll’s job to do. and and there’s going to be some ideas that we come up with this off season. There are going to be both what we want to see and what is most likely to happen because that’s what we’d love to do around here is that honestly there are some things that make sense and there’s some things that the Reds do and they don’t always coincide. But we’re going to keep you up to date with all of those things as we get into this offseason because there is absolutely no excuse for them to go through this entire off season and not address the needs that they have. And that’s just a taste of what we’re going to be talking about this off seasonason, folks. We’re going to have you covered all off season long. Jeff and I are going to be here for you. 1. These guys are salty!
Steven Offenbaker says he could see the breaking ball coming. A guy who never played in the majors all of a sudden thinks he could do a better job at the plate than actual major league players. Delusional

  2. Man stop with the PHI BS y’all sound d*** as hell, Dodgers didn’t even use their bullpen arms vs CIN, They used Roki and Blake, PHI will see Glasnow, Kershaw, Scott, Banda, Casprius, Not to mention Shohei Game 1, Will Smith back in the lineup a ALL STAR catcher that CIN didn’t see along with all those arms I named, So please stop Robert’s and Dodgers will not come at PHI the way they came at CIN, PHI has nothing to thank CIN for because they won’t see the same Dodgers team 🤦

  3. I get you guys are cheerleaders, basically, but this was never a promising season. Let us be clear: We have a few serious major league players, a few who may become that, and then we can't afford them, and the rest are either "projects", bench players form other teams, and/or average players at best.

Wouldn't be that much of a problem, but after literally a couple decades of it, we have even more evidence that this ownership team is interested in making money, and not fielding an actually competitive team.

Arguing about manager decisions is like rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic. Making the playoffs shouldn't sound like it's some kind of victory. Rather, for a competitive team, it should be a given.

  4. No player, including Elly ,should be dictating which position he plays. Once Arroyo is ready, they are going to be forced to move Elly anyway, as Arroyo will be by far the superior defender. Ellyl needs to be permanently moved to the OF, 1B, 3B or DH.

  5. I left my frustration at the door once they made the wild card. For me, this was the key to the year: giving these players exposure to the postseason. I feel no pain over their loss to the Dodgers. However, if ownership does not take the necessary steps ($$$) to elevate this team to the next level in the offseason, that frustration with the team will return. A successful postseason translates to the Reds being the first or second choice to win the NL Central.

  6. Ok, listen up Reds fans! Here are the FACTS: the 2025 Reds made the playoffs and not a single player on that roster had a breakout season – NOT ONE! Two pitchers had good seasons (Singer & Santillan), but not a single player had a legit breakout season. As a matter of fact, most of them had mediocre to bad seasons. Why do I say this? Because if they can make the playoffs with their entire roster having mediocre to bad seasons, can you imagine how good they will be in year two under Tito when 3-4 of them actually have breakout seasons? Think about it! We still made the playoffs even though the entire roster underperformed. The future is bright in Cincinnati! Especially, if we sign one big bat in either Schwarber or Alonso.

  7. Now I get to listen to all of the talking heads on MLB network rant and rave about how the Reds didn’t belong in the playoffs and how that was the Mets spot.
    Yay.

  8. I have a different take on the Roberts pitching move. I think Roberts knew what Tito was gonna do should he decide to change pitchers mid bat. I think Roberts strategically took the Reds best power hitting option out of the game by switching pitchers. He knew Tito’s playbook. Tito wasn’t playing chess, Roberts was

  9. Why can’t the Reds seem to develop a superstar? That’s one of the issues. When you can’t buy superstars you have to develop them and they can’t. They never have in my lifetime I don’t think. They develop above average players and that doesn’t cut it against the Dodgers and playoff teams.

  10. "Dodgers aren't good" enjoy the offseason lil bros. Yeah their bullpen is awful but the rotation and lineup is best in baseball. Made your "ace" look like a 4 starter

  11. Admittedly, the bullpen isn’t fantastic. They give us heart attacks at times but the rest of the team, the offense, the starting pitching are pretty clutch and stepped up. This is a team becoming more consistent but to say that they’re not a good team because they didn’t curbstomp you both days is ridiculous.

  12. Anyone else just tired of hearing how good Ely is? Inconsistent fielding/throwing at a PIVITAL position he should not be playing at and is not a clutch guy. This is by no means all on him but need to start there, SS.

  13. 23:37 a reminder to all the folks in the comments complaining about delusional & unrealistic takes in this episode, you gotta view this as just cathartic release. Yah, the Reds weren't a true playoff contender this season and owe a huge part of their postseason ticket to the Mets, and their odds going into a Wild Card series against the defending champs were minimally generous at best. But it's October baseball – anything can happen and to see & know that this team had multiple shots to at least make things interesting, if not shock the Dodgers, only to either fall short or squander them away is quite frustrating. Totally valid to vent away this off-season, but at the end of the day, it was a fun & unexpected ride to end the season and hopefully something positive to build on next year – Go Reds! ❤️🤍⚾ – Janan

  14. What demands did Cleveland meet when he was there? Just because it’s Tito doesn’t mean the Reds will do anything. They’ll sign some more washed up veterans as hope they can find some spark again.

  15. I absolutely love Will B and I pray if he isnt here next season, he goes to a team that cherishes the type of ballplayer he is. He exuberates life and passion for the game and will give you everything he has. For Tito to do that to Will, I don't blame Will for leaving the dugout. I would have, too. Ridiculous 😢

  16. Changes need to be made. Trade Lebryan. Put Sal at third and pencil his name in at 3rd every day in 26. Have a serious talk with Elly. He needs to take regular rest days during the season. He also needs off-season and spring work on hitting off speed pitches. McClain needs to be right for 26, or replaced. Get him a shoulder guru, if necessary. Have McClain get lots of off-season hitting practice. I used to think we needed a right handed power hitter. We don't, we need Two righthanded power hitters, outfieldersDH, or power hitting leadoff hitter. We need two left handed relief pitchers, and another long relief pitcher with Nick Martinez leaving. We need a better lead-off hitter too. I love Friedle, but he's not setting the table enough. Resign our catcher too. These moves would make the Reds a Legitimate playoff team.

  17. Reds fans would feel insulted by this comment "The dodgers are not good." They end up losing to them. No SWEPT by them. Also, when the Dodgers win another world series, you definitely will eat your words. Take it as "The dodgers went through us to win the world series"

  18. We will be back in case we do make it past the Phillies lol yall scored 2 of 4 runs on a dropped ball last night and crickets until Roberts brought in Emmet😂!

  19. Yea it’s a bummer but now Tito has a full offseason to make improvements next year we will be better 92-72 … win division and go deeper in the playoffs 👍

  20. The dodgers' bullpen is garbage for sure, but besides that Dodgers are pretty good and matches up evenly with the phillies. Saying dodgers arent a good team is a little harsh.

  21. The lack of clutch two out hitting with runners in scoring position kills this team. I know it’s probably a dream but if somehow they can bring in a big clutch bat and keep McClain , Stewart and DeLa Cruz then this can be a 90+ win team.

  22. Since the 1995 NLCS where the Braves swept the Reds 4 straight the Reds Playoff Record is now 2-15….. 1995 NLCS 0-4 2010 NLDS 0-3 2012 NLDS 2-3 2013 Wild Card 0-1 2020 wild Card 0-2 2025 Wild Card 0-2…… 30 years of Nothing.
