PFF Week 4 grades as well as the cumulative season grades

  1. Brandon Stephens has looked much better. Hopefully this is a sign of a turnaround for him and he can become a solid starter to help shore up the secondary.

  2. Kind of a low bar to cross but it feels like they’ve figured out how to draft really good players in the first round

  3. 3 O-linemen starters for the future. Great WR locked in.

We are still dogshit though. From an elite defence two years ago to now holes in every level

  4. Im surprised how good of a pass rusher WM4 has become. JD nailed that pick. I remember we got crucified for not taking Broderick Jones and he might not even make it to his 4th year of his rookie deal.

  5. Outside of Mason Taylor (rookie) and Johnson (only 1), all penalties on offense to date were players who played under Saleh.

I’m assuming defense looks similar (with Stephens and Cisco being the defense outliers for new players given their positions).

Again, culture doesn’t change overnight. I expect that (and penalties) to start changing as the year progresses and we go into next season and beyond. Guys that won’t or can’t adapt will rightly be gone.

If Mougey can have another good draft the next two years we should be able to round out starters but more importantly the hugely lacking depth.

  6. Glad I’m not going crazy. Mentioned Membou’s struggles in pass pro, and got downvoted into oblivion in the game thread. He definitely had some good blocks in there (especially when the rushers tried to win outside), but there were numerous times where he got completely blown up and where he got beat inside.

  7. This is my favorite post of the week, thank for sharing it. Any reason Aza didn’t play at all last week?
