Not a good look on us. He didn’t make are bats go stone cold during the series. Yes one call that could have changed the outcome but that was just pent up emotions showing
That’s so weak. Sure it was a bad call, but they had so many pathetic at bats in the previous 7 innings. Misplaced frustration for their own ineptness.
I’m glad they said something though. Like everyone has already said, that literally cost us the game.
I don’t blame Bogaerts for being upset. Yes, the bats were quiet, but this was a potentially impactful bad call. This was Bogaerts being upset over a call that ended his AB, he wasn’t some random player yelling at a random ump.
Dogshit call that could have filled the bases with no out. Does it look bad, sure. But that was a fucking joke and anything can happen. Bases loaded no Outs is way different than 1 and 2 with an out. I’ll take the heat, good for them
Idk who the first guy was that engaged with the umps. Iglesias? But it’s interesting that Bogey only seemed to jump in once the ump said something back. Not a good look for that ump either, honestly.
I mean it was a TERRIBLE call. At a TERRIBLE point of the game. These are professional athletes. They want to win. I’d lose my shit just like they did.
Classless
Edit: Just like everyone in here trying to justify the behavior. It was a bad missed call for sure, but it’s not the Ump’s fault the Padres couldn’t hit this series. It’s not the Ump’s fault the bullpen was poorly managed the entire game. And it’s not the Ump’s fault Tatis’ at-bats looked like he was wearing a blindfold.
Ball was at his knees. That’s a strike brotha
I mean, they cant keep fucking getting away with this no consequence
I know this sucked but not a good look at all
The ump blew a lot of BS calls! But we needed to be out there getting on base! Sucks, hopefully next year is better
God, I hope this doesn’t become a thing. The padres yelled, and the umps yelled back. Like, it’s one thing for them to do this and then post-game interviews blame the umps for the loss, but that’s not the case. Umps have little to no accountability or repercussions, like they both yelled, and that’s it.
That was the most fight the lineup showed in the last three days
Too bad umps can’t own their bad calls. It’s too obvious to the 99.9% of humans that watch baseball to know how flawed the results can be due to human error. Cannot wait for the new rules next season.
I’m sick and tired of these incompetent buffoons getting calls wrong game after game and then being shielded from any form of criticism via threat of fines. Oh and to top it off, it’s almost impossible for them to be fired because they’re unionized employees.
It’s a bad look for sure, I just hate how this will be used against us. Not sure who the guy is in the hoodie, but it was just him starting shit with X adding a little which is valid. Other people are using “they” being putting the whole team as crybabies
Reyburn had a good game and made a bad call at the most important time (which is why ABS is great!). But the arrogance to shout back in someones face when u surely know u fucked up is insane
I mean, they deserve it. And schildty should’ve gone in on the ump in game. Getting tossed in the 9th inning is a nothing to lose situation
Rightfully justified, but will be a “bad look” unfortunately and I agree to a point.
Yes, bad calls which could have resulted in a different outcome that game but don’t let that sway from the real problem which is this team not performing in the series. Top of the lineup became nonexistent.
Headline should be, ‘Workplace Violence Erupts as Coworker is Threatened for Committing Mistake’
Really sucks that happened. We were (obviously) struggling the entire game and had absolutely 0 luck on top of that. We finally have some good luck and a BS call takes it away.

Good. They got off easy as far as I’m concerned…
