Didi hit against the twins like they owed him money
I was at that game. Never heard the stadium so loud.
That was EIGHT years ago? Man the time really does fly by faster and faster as you get older
8 years ago TODAY. EIGHT!? I remember this like it was yesterday.
I’m 33 and all of my life has been us just fucking owning the twins in the post season. The only scare ever had was the series where Sierra hit that homer and we still beat them.
This team deserved to win it all
Really wish that team won it all.
Was such a fun team
Another favorite from that season:
GREGORIUS AGAIN! HE GOT HIM FOR THE SECOND TIME!
Glad Didi left before he ever had the chance to get the Yankee heat that guys like Hicks got. But I do miss him and his post game tweeting so much
Holy shit how was this 8 years ago??
Man do I miss Didi. Love you Didi!!
Gardner and Judge both homered later in the game. So much excitement.
I remember where I was when this happened. I missed the top half the first on the way to the watch party.
He went around the bases like he was floating lol. So amped up
Eight years holy shit
That is SIR Didi Gregorius
The 2017 season was just special man. It will probably go down as my favorite Yankee team that never won it all.
The ads in the stadium feel modest even here and that’s not long ago
I was at this game it was insane
Rare for an ESPN broadcast, but that announce team knew to call that action short and sweet, then lay out to let the crowd noise and the jubilant fans in the stands tell the story of that moment.
Waited until Didi had forearm-bashed everyone and went into the dugout before rejoining the audio.
Perfect job there by that team.
My favorite Yankee since the dynasty, fucking love Didi
Wow 8 years ago already
I miss playing the twins
Remember and still feel the goosebumps….
I was there. First row 204, first seat towards the right. It looked like the ball was hit right towards me. Time literally stopped. It was so surreal. You can see me careening over the railing then suddenly celebrating.
