The Cincinnati Reds are in a playoff spot and they are in the driver’s seat to take the last spot in the wild card. I am so pumped up. What’s up? This is Jeff Carr from the Lockdown Reds podcast and the Cincinnati Reds have made doubters of us all, including myself. All season long, they’ve been putting themselves in situations where you’re just like, there’s no way they can dig themselves out of it. And here they are. The New York Mets have faltered even worse than what we saw the Cincinnati Reds doing. And now the Reds are in the final wildcard spot with a tiebreaker over the Mets and six games left to play. Gritty baseball. Four game sweep of those Chicago Cubbies. They win the season series over the Cubs. And now they head into six games, three at home, three on the road against divisional opponents that I’ve got good feelings about. This Red’s team is getting hot at the very last moment, but you know what? That’s the best time to do it.
