FIVE stats you NEED TO KNOW for the Cleveland Browns vs. Minnesota Vikings game in London!
All right guys, it’s time for a 5 pack of stats and the answer to the trivia question earlier. The 5 pack today is brought to us by Square. Your favorite neighborhood spots brought on Square. There are certain businesses that truly make the neighborhood feel like home, whether it’s the local sports bar, the coffee shop that knows your order by heart, or the corner deli that’s been serving your community for decades. These are the places. That can bring people together. When neighborhood businesses thrive, the whole neighborhood thrives. Square is a proud partner of more than 4 million neighborhood businesses around the world. You can go to square.com/go/locked on NFL to learn more. But before you do, support your favorite neighborhood spot. You’ll be happy you did. Square, we’ll see you in the neighborhood. All right guys, a 5-pack plus 1 plus a trivia question for you guys. We got 15 minutes to run through this, but the first step that you need to know for the Browns versus Vikings games is something that I think you’ve probably seen this week. But with Dylan Gabriel taking the field as the Browns starter on Sunday, he will be the 41st quarterback to start for the Browns since 1999 and the 12th. In the Kevin Steansky era, both of those are by far the biggest number in the NFL. Chicago’s #2 with the most starting quarterbacks in the NFL since 1999 with 30, — 11
— fewer than the. Has started — about 35% less
— quarterbacks. Correct. And the last Browns quarterback to play a full season was, uh, Baker Mayfield in 2020. So it has been a constant carousel since then. Nothing. — None of that
— surprising. I was gonna say no, I mean, we’ve lived it. We, we, we know that that’s our, our brand. But who was the last Browns quarterback to play a full season before Baker in 2020? Oh God, what did you say? Did Derek? No, Derek Anderson did the last quarterback to play, yeah, he might have, — I think Derek Anderson missed
— the playoff. Yeah, did Baker play a full season in 19 also? No, no, because. Yeah, 18 was his rookie year. Yeah, he came off the bench in 18. Yeah, he did play. I mean, he might have missed one or two games. I think he did. I think he had something, because then they, yeah, they had, uh, what’s his face as the backup. Yeah, Keenan played one or two games, I think in 19. I wasn’t no, nope. Baker played 16 games in consecutive seasons. 1921 and played against 21. Keenum came and played against the Broncos. They actually won that game, yeah, so we had a 2 year stretch where we didn’t have quarterback drama, correct? Well, he was. If you’re the number one pick, you’re going to start unless you’re dead. So unless you but a lot of them get hurt. I mean that’s what I meant. You got to be you got to be hurt for you not to play. I’m curious your thoughts, but I mentioned this at the top of the show. Oh, by the way, Mike, we got to mention, sorry, I apologize for cutting you off, but Jack Conklin was a full participant in practice today. That is huge. So he’s probably gonna play, I would think. All right guys, this was a trivia question. At 511 quarter, Dilan Gabriel will be the shortest left-handed quarterback to start an NFL game since who? Jay, who are your guesses? — What year
— was it? Can I ask that? Nope. Jim Zorn. I have no interest in it because I know it’s gonna. It’s gonna be a bizarre name that we don’t, I, I, I, there’s only one name I could think of, and I don’t know how, no, no, I, I only got one name. Tim Tebow was, well, Tebow might have been, he’s big, big, but he’s 4. The only guy I can think of is Keller Moore. Jim Zorn was a lefty. Zorn was a lefty. Yeah, but I, — there’s no way it goes back not that
— long. Is it Michael Vick? No. Are you ready for this? You’re never gonna get it. So yeah, that’s why I said I have. Well, give us a clue so we can make. I’ve never heard of this, and he played in 1952. — 0 my God this guy
— wasn’t that long. — It was even longer
— ago. I didn’t say it wasn’t that long ago. Oh, Jason did. Oh, Frankie Albert. How am I supposed to know Frankie Frankie I covered Jim was too long. I covered. — I don’t expect any of you guys to know who Frankie Albert
— was never heard. Why would you ask that question? Who the hell would know that? The point is it’s been over 50 years a lot of, a lot of guys played in the league at a height that was laughable, you know, like, in other words, they were listed at 6’1, but they were 5’11. Nothing that now we know because we. Laser measure them at the draft and it is what it — is that
— happened in the 50s in Moore was 6. — I’m just saying there were no players a
— very long time since a 6 quarterback started the game. It doesn’t mean they won’t play well, doesn’t mean anything about his future. Just thought it was interesting. All right, the second stats. No stat you guys need to know is the receiving cores, as just mentioned, really needs to help out. Dylan Gabriel. According to ESPN’s receiver score, which takes in a number of different factors. There are 93 qualified receivers on ESPN’s. So far this season through 4 games, Jerry Judy ranks 87th out of 93 qualified receivers and it’s got a score. And then Cedric Tillman, who is on IR. They they’ve been their #2 receiver ranks 77. So their two starting receivers out of 93 have ranked 87th — looks good
— and — he’s 77
— and we’re looking at it like, oh, I got Amazon’s stats. The Browns as a team are averaging just 2.8 yards of separation route that is tied for last ed last. And they have the 3rd most jobs in the NFL. — So there can’t get
— separation and we can’t catch the — ball and we can’t throw the
— ball. — And other than that did you enjoy
— the may change a little bit, but I looked up a lot of those numbers last year. Last year they were the slowest receivers and they couldn’t create separation. So it is, it’s stunning that for it’s such a critical position. It has been such a massive blind spot for this organization. Whatever they’re doing, whether it’s the guru behind the curtain, the analytics guy that’s pulling the strings, whoever is giving them advice on which wide receivers to sign needs to be dismissed yesterday. Y’all gotta start, listen, the first thing you gotta do is you gotta change, dude. Hey, all the wide receivers that is good is slightly crazy. They’re ridiculous. They’re divas. They, — they are all the above letter and
— they’re usually problem. Let me go out, yeah, you gotta take that problem. Hey, let me go out and find you problems, right? Give me a problem. As long as drops and I can’t get open aren’t one of them. Jamar Chase kind of crazy. He’d be saying I’m Jamar Chase just be saying stuff like that’s what happens. You need somebody that’s just ridiculous as long as he’s not going to jail. As long as you get him to practice and he could pass these drug tests, get you somebody who’s running the ball. How’s Jamar Chase doing with Jake Browning? Looking nasty. You don’t have a quarterback the rest don’t matter. Uh, Mike, who are there any like known good receivers that are near the bottom of the of that ESPN ranking, by the way? Uh, yeah, David and Joe’s 88, by the way, he’s actually lower. Wait, we have 3 in the. Bottom 9 Harold Fan. Chris Ola didn’t play at Ohio State, he’d be out of the league. But here’s the thing that you gotta you gotta keep this. I don’t know how to judge it, but if you run a lot of short routes, people are gonna be on you. Yeah, that’s true that they grade for this overall score, it goes by and you’re so separated. How many of your targets are catching and then yards after catch and then it’s all combined, so that’s kind of cool though. I like that. I just you guys that like have struggled this year that it affects Brian Thomas is right. He’s been an absolute disaster in Jacksonville. Olave’s down there, but he’s and Marquis Brown, Hollywood Brown on that. The Chiefs is dead. So here’s what I was saying is if you, here’s, you know how you can get some separation, get creative with how you stemming people, where you’re moving people, which way it goes, which releases it is. If you got a dude that ain’t great on Tyvis can tell you, your release package is almost like you dribbling package in basketball. If you can’t get off the line of scrimmage on zone and man and figure out where to go, you ain’t gonna get no separation. All of it, Devonte Adams is not fast. It starts with your first it starts with your release. And so I don’t know what they’re coaching on the release. You can’t just run straight and get locked up. All right Mike. All right, next step now with the news of Conklin, this should help. And they also traded for Cam Robinson, so that could help, but I pulled up some of the blocking stats from the guys that I could be the starting tackles. Mike, are you confident that a guy they traded a 2027 uh draft pick exchange in the 7th round is really gonna be a big upgrade? Uh, when you see this, I mean, I don’t know why, why give up an offensive line that’s good. Well, I’m saying he may not be able to. OK. — So I would
— qualified is the sons. Levin. 57th out of 66. Lucas 61st. I mean that’s even better than I thought it would be. Aidan Hutchinson last week, Cornelius Lucas had 17 1 on one matchups. In that situation against the line’s top pass rusher, Hutchinson in those matchups had 5 pressures, — 2 sacks and a
— 4 then he won 10 of the 17. What’s the problem? That’s over 50%. — I know
— that I’m not sure that is that good? When I, when I watched this, when we, when I was going over this film work, Cornelius Lucas looked like he, he was wearing high heels for way too long, like at 12 o’clock at night going home from the bar, like his. He walked like his body hurt. Like he’d be trying to bend his, his whole lower body looked like it’s swollen. He was retaining water. He was nasty work. It was like I was like, how is he still playing in the league? He looked like he came into camp not expecting to play at all. Like, yeah, Dean got this one. I’m straight. No, then they was like, — you’re
— playing. So basically these uh stats that you’re giving us. Without much argument, we have the worst offensive line and the worst wide receiving core in the NFL. Yes, I mean, I know they have the worst offensive line. — They have the they have the
— worst tackles, tackles. OK, so, so listen, that’s one of the worst. So finish the point. They have two terrible tackles. They have slow receivers who can’t get open, and they have a quarterback who can’t move. And you wonder why the offense sucks. Recipe for disaster and a coach who showed no creativity at all. What do you want him to create? He’s got two awful tackles receivers. What he needs him to create is take a magic wand and say. So that free pass. It’s not a free a free pass. It’s not. — He hasn’t been good
— enough either. I agree, — but look what he’s
— got to work with. So, so here, so this is why I keep saying. Somebody, if we, if we gonna give Kev the benefit of the doubt, Andrew, it’s a little too late, too little too late. If we, because if you’re saying that’s if you’re saying that this is what it is and, and you’ve been giving me that as hey Kevin Safinsky, I’m going to him being like what the heck is this thing? Like it or, or is this a collaboration or what? Because you can’t have the worst. Tackle group, the worst receiver group, and then be like, but are the line is popping though? It’s like me answering Mikey McNugget’s question. Hey, what’s the most important offensive line or offensive uh uh of this game? And I say, Miles Garrett, that’s exactly what Andrew Barry keep doing. I got Mason Graham and Miles. Trudeau that ain’t you got your job was 49ers won a game last night. They have one good player on offense. Christian McCaffrey. That was crazy. One player. But you know what else you know who else they have, and this, this kind of hit me when I was watching it. They picked up Pinero, I think maybe week 2. I’m not sure. He hasn’t missed. He’s been unbelievable. Uh, they won the game on a field goal. They, they, um, it’s just. Why is it that when a team like San Francisco needs a kicker, they go out, they get this kicker that, I mean, to be fair, even though we’re mad at Andre Schmidt in week one, he did win game 3 for them. No, I know, but he also definitively lost a game for us. I mean, I hear you, but Pinero’s been there 2 seconds, but I lose a game for them. saying it’s been perfect so far. No matter what you think, no matter what you think about Saansky, everybody would agree he’s not, — he’s not Shanahan on the
— stakes. He’s no, nobody’s gonna confuse him, but how many, — how many NFL coach of the
— year, he’s making Mac Jones look like a legitimate NFL quarterback when we know he’s not. It’s true. — They don’t who was their
— best wide receiver yesterday. Nobody and no wide receivers, — no tight ends
— and nothing. Bourne went nuts. That’s a guy that could, that Jerry Judy should look at Bourne and use him as his, his example for what a guy can do who’s been riddled with drops. That guy was incredible last night. Open all night, caught everything, but I think one ball. Hey, they got bro and man, the Rams there I — I off that track
— and they was on the road. It’s levels to this. This is why I’m excited. I’m excited because you told me they said in that organization that this was their guy. They said that gee, I got a stat for you on this. I’m gonna combine the two into one because they all go hand in hand together. So let me run through them all, we’ll react and we got super chats, we’re head over to KYC, but We know Brian Flores likes to blitz. Minnesota this season ranks #4 in the NFL in blitz percentage. They puts on 35.8% of all their plays. They ranked number 2 in pressure rates, so their blitzes are getting home to the quarterback. At 31.7% as a result of that, Minnesota ranks number one in the average depth of target against. So the shortest average depth of their opponent quarterbacks at just 5.7 yards for depth of targets significantly lower. I don’t know what this stat is on pro football reference. It’s expected points added by pass defense. No idea what that means, but Minnesota ranks number one. Well, they had a 34.04. Number 2 in the NFL was 11.57. I don’t know what it means. — So
— they’re
— number one by a mile, a mile. Now, how does that translate for Dilan Gabriel? asked as a senior at Oregon against the Blitz, Dylan Gabriel completed 72.5% of his passes for 1,286 yards, 15 touchdowns, and 1 interception. So. Yeah, he was very good against the Blitz, a college defense different than an NFL defense and even different than a Brian Flores defense. So I pulled the stats on how Brian Flores has done against rookies in his career in his career against rookies, Brian Flores 9 and 1 overall, 4-0 as Minnesota’s defensive coordinator. 5-1 in Miami against. quarterbacks when he was their head coach, he beat Caleb Williams twice, Bryce Young and Aidan O’Connell as the DC and rookie quarterbacks have not had much success against Brian’s a 41% success rate and a minus 0.158 EPA. Those teams averaged 16.3 points per game. So those are your five stats for the week.
The Vikings and Browns will play in from of their international fans in London on Sunday. Minnesota will play in its second consecutive international game, something no other NFL team has ever done. This could feel like a must-win game for both teams.
Minnesota is 2-2 after a crushing loss against Pittsburgh in Ireland. They are suddenly falling behind in the NFC North and could keep pace with a win.
Meanwhile, the Browns just got pummelled by the Lions. It was a cold reminder that Week 3’s surprising win against the Packers is the exception and not the rule.
Cleveland and Minnesota have two of the best defenses in the entire league. That could result in a low-scoring game for the fans in London. Especially because the Browns offense has been reeling lately.
But who will come out on top in this one? And which players should fans be paying the most attention to?
Below we will explore three bold predictions from Vikings vs. Browns in Week 5 of the 2025 NFL season. | https://sports.yahoo.com/article/vikings-vs-browns-bold-predictions-185101755.html

You dont draft 2qbs and 2rbs, when wr and online were clear needs coming into the draft
Steve Young was listed as 6-2 but he admits he was actually 6-0.
Well when that line was much younger and he had OBJ and Jarvis Chubb and Kareem KS could not get OBJ open so he had something to work with so stop making excuses for that MOE RON of a offensive minded coach I'm sick of this idiot (from a football perspective) and he has to go !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They need to lookup Eddie LeBaron he was 5 ft. 7 in. He was the first starting quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys.
It’s small things that change the game. The fact that Joe could not move let get pin their ears back against the back up tackles
G Bush dressed like a Vice Lord
Eddie Pineiro has been money for my Niners! 🙏🏾
Take a shot every time Bull says "Yeah".
Let's be honest the the scheme play calling is not creative
There are no good coaches without good athletes.
FIRE STEFANSKI!!!!!
Dillon is NOT 5'11" 😂😂😂
