Can The Miami Dolphins Turn Their Season Around?! Sign Cedric Wilson Jr!

Miami Dolphins got their first victory. Where do we go from here? Can they turn it around? Why am I talking like this? I don’t know. [Music] What is up, Finn fans? How is everyone feeling on this Tuesday after a Dolphins victory? It is bittersweet because Toron Toron Armstead I was just talking to Toronto Armstead. Tyreek Hill is out for the year. I’m going to get into his injuries because Mike McDaniel did meet with the media. So, we’re going to talk about that. I’m going to talk about the rest of the season. I’m obviously going to talk about the title of the video. Can they turn it around? There’s some things we need to talk about. But first, I do have to shout out today’s sponsor and the official sponsor of Dougley Dong during the football season, and that is Sleeper. Go check them out. Click the link in the description. Use the promo code DDW. get 100% up to $100 matched. Love the app. Great fantasy app. I love the overunders or the more or less with every game. They also have the pick them league that I have started. Didn’t do too great last week. Uh but you will find out. I’m thinking tomorrow or Thursday. I don’t know which day I’m going to put out my pick them video, but go check them out. So, real quick, let me give you an update. Yes, Terron Armstead is out for the season. Mike McDaniel said, “It is a major knee procedure, multiple ligaments. Our focus as a team is to support him as a team. We are supporting our teammate.” Yeah, I tweeted it out and I even told you guys depending on when you watched, I released the video at like 1:00. Uh that from what I was hearing that it’s it could be careerending injury because the type of dislocation uh again a doctor hit me up on Twitter to the type of dislocation that he got in his knee. you you tore the fact that his knee his leg was facing the other way. Um the amount of damage that had to happen to that knee for it to just face the other way uh is just ridiculous. And he the doctor that I quote tweeted and again he hit me up said it’d be a miracle if you can get to 80%. So, this might be a careerthreatening for Toronto AR. Why do I got Toronto on my mind? Me and him are working on something that is going to be coming out. Keep your eyes out for that. Go subscribe to his channel because he’s almost at 10K. Uh Tyreek, it’s just it’s heartbreaking because again, careerthreatening for Tyreek. He might never play again, which he’s still he has a Hall of Fame career right now, but we kind of hoped that we would get more out of him. Um but yeah, he’s 100% out for the season. Um and hopefully, you know, speedy recovery with that one. Um but you know, looking at the the future of the team and all that stuff. Um supposedly per Tom Pelisero, the Miami Dolphins are expected to sign Cedric Wilson Jr. off of the New Orleans Saints practice squad, which makes sense because he was with this team, so he has an understanding of it. Um he has an understanding of the offense and has worked with um Tua and you know another tall receiver that we can definitely incorporate and um help this team. So again, Dolphins are bringing in um Cedric Wilson Jr. off of the Saints practice squad, which definitely is going to help. But you know, Tyreek Hill was in high spirits. We heard from Drew Rosenhouse and all that stuff. So, you know, it’s good to hear that he’s doing well. It just really sucks um that it happened in a game that we lost. Like, absolutely really sucks. Um but let’s talk about the future. Um let’s talk about kind of can they turn this around? Now, some of the things that I watched last night, there were some good. Now, the offensive line played okay, and again, they faced a defense that isn’t good in the New York Jets, but they played okay. Now, I will have the film breakdown probably later tonight on the Patreon. You know what? I’m going, this is what I’m going to do. I’m going to make the film breakdown. I’m going to release it on YouTube. If it gets copyright claimed, it sucks. Um, it’ll be on the Patreon. How about that? So, I will release it here. If it gets copyright claimed and taken down, then it it’s definitely on the Patreon. So, I’m still going to do a film breakdown tonight because I want to break down a few things, which it’s going to be so much harder because of the NFL.com. Changed their format. So, it’s takes me even longer to do it, but I’m going to do it. But the offensive line looked better, but again, it was against inferior defense. Uh, Tula looked day and night better with his pocket presence. His pocket presence against Buffalo and his pocket presence against the Patriots. he was running around with his like a chicken with his head cut off uh at times when he didn’t need to. So, you know, he definitely got better at that. He felt more comfortable. A lot of times he would evade the pressure, roll out to his left or right, was making great throws, rolling out from his left or right. Uh they really incorporated crossing routes and stuff like that. So, it’s uh much better that I saw on the offense. Now, there was the whole debate and the discussion was um Frank Smith calling plays. From what I found out, uh he wasn’t. It was still Mike McDaniel calling plays. And you kind of saw it, especially when we got the strip sack. We started on their 46 and then he threw it. One of them was an ender round, but he had an ender round and a bubble screen and then a nice pass that was brought back because of a Larry Boram holding. But instead, he he still continues to back away or try to be cute instead of just running the ball. Put Oi Gordon in, go in eye formation, go in pistol, even go in shotgun, spread your receivers, you know, force the defense to spread out. And this is what I don’t understand. And again, I might sit here and say, “Oh, it’s this easy.” And he could sit and or someone could tell me, “No, if you look at it, yada yada blah blah blah.” But if you’re in certain situations, you should really take into account the run game. And the a lot of our passes, a lot of our play actions, especially the touchdown to Darren Waller where two are rolled out to his right, they bid on the run. I will show you in the field breakdown. Um, he needs to incorporate that more. So like if on their 46 first and 10, right? Three receivers, one tight end, have them wide, go in the shotgun with Devon Aan or Oi Gordon, whoever you want back there. And if you notice that the defense is crowding the line and leaving a receiver open or giving him a cushion, throw a quick slant like we did with Tyreek Hill with a comeback. I think it was like a six or seven yard comeback on third or fourth down. no third or second down that got us to first. If they don’t and they respect our pass game and they, you know, spread out their defense, you run it up the middle. It’s a style. I don’t know. Again, it could be a style of RPO or not, but it’s what I’m thinking is, and I’m talking 5,000 m a minute, not have it be RPO where you hand the ball off, pull it out, and throw it. Have Tua read it. You know what I’m saying? Okay, I see their defense is spread out. have hand signals. Throw a little something at someone. Pat your helmet at another guy being like, “Hey, they’re more focused on the run. I want you to get ready for an in route. I want you to do something here quick.” And if they spread it out, then just stick with the play. Hand the ball off. Like that’s what I want him to incorporate. Don’t abandon the run so quickly. If you say, “Oh, dude, single high safety. We’re going to just we’re going to throw bubble screens. Bubble screens.” And I could see as well where he was throwing the bubble screens because again Strange was struggling, Larry Borne was struggling at some points, Jonah was struggling. Like we you see that we had zero sacks on the day, but that doesn’t mean that the offensive line was not struggling at times. And again, a lot of that zero sacks came from again Tua going back to his bread and butter and having good pocket awareness. I don’t know what happened the past two games, the past three games where his pocket awareness went out the window. he really honed it in and I’m very happy about that. So, there’s that. Uh the defense, the defense really, really, really needs to get their head out of their butts. They need to get pressure with the front four alone. Uh you can’t keep blitzing because you’re going to, you know, really put yourself in precarious situations with taking a guy out or, you know, some of the sacks like the strip sack happened because we uh dropped someone into coverage and blitz the linebacker and all that stuff. So, we really need to work on that. We need the front four to really get after um them just from their base, just from the front four. Uh and not have to consistently depend on blitzing. Uh because again, I think Rul Douglas got a sack and I think it was Dodson got a sack, but none of the defensive lineman got a sack. And I saw Chop Robinson get an instant block shed. Next play, they drop him back as a coverage. Same thing with Jaylen Phillips. J Phillips was getting held a lot also that turf uh there was um a lot of slipping which fixed that. So there there’s these things that you know you they fix these things you could possibly turn it around. But here’s the biggest thing right here’s the biggest thing and the thing that we need to talk about with this team if they can turn it around. Can they turn the season around? You’re now sitting at 1 and three. You got the Carolina Panthers you’re heading to. They are a team you should beat, right? You saw every team destroy them. You saw the Patriots just recently destroy them. You should be able to beat the Carolina Panthers. So, if you do your job, and again, like I I talk about in the preview all the time where I give you five things. If they just do their job, they should go into a home game against the Chargers being two and three. Chargers lost both of their tackles. I don’t know if they’ll be able to play for this game. and going from the west coast to the east coast takes a toll on the Chargers as you saw at the Giants game. Chargers aren’t a guaranteed loss. If somehow in the next five games the Miami Dolphins can pull off four wins and get to five and four, then they can turn it around. Now you got Buffalo, which you fought hard in Buffalo. You’re home for that one. Then you’re facing Washington and Madrid. Then you have a buy. You have the Saints again, not a good football team. You got the Jets again, not a good football team. And you got the Bengals again, not a good football team. Those are three wins. If you can get to five and four, you have eight win team. Then you have again teams sprinkled in like the Steelers, the Bucks, and the Patriots that you need two wins out of there. Now, I’ll say this. Me sitting here right now watching what I saw from the Jets game last night, uh, and thinking back to it and how the defense was playing, I don’t have much faith that this defense can stop the Chargers, can stop the Ravens, the Bills, the Washington Commanders, the Steelers, the Bucks. I think that’s six losses there instantly. On top of the already three, that’s nine losses. So, in my opinion, the best case scenario, they’re an eight- win team, which then again puts you in the middle of the pack on draft picks. But again, if you want a player, just go up and get them. Um, so they can turn the season around. To answer the question, they definitely can turn the season around, but a lot of the lot has to be fixed. And for me, the thing that has to be fixed the most is that defensive front. if the defensive front can get their stuff together. And I don’t know why all of a sudden they can’t get any sacks. Like again, last year was 27th, but still they’re barely getting anything. If they could fix that, I think they can beat teams that a lot of people don’t think they could. Like the Bills and like the Commanders and like the Steelers. Like you get after Aaron Rogers and you tackle him and get him to the ground, you could beat them. There’s that question mark. So, can they turn it around? Yes. Will they turn it around? My answer to that right now is no. Um, just because it was a sloppy game against the Jets and the defense still gave up a fourth and two and you allow Justin Fields to run in a touchdown on a 40some yard, you know. So, the defense scares the crap out of me. The offense, not so much anymore. The offensive line, yes, but we will get Austin Jackson back and we will get James Daniels back. It’s the defense. I don’t think the defense can do much. So, for me right now, you know, they can turn it around. It’s more will they? And right now, I need to see more than just beating a bad Jets team. Comment below. Let me know what you guys think. Can they turn it around? What do you need to see to turn it around? Um, I’ll keep you guys updated on everything else. I will put the film breakdown out tomorrow. Again, if it gets copyright claimed and taken down, it will be on the Patreon. But other than that, like usual, stay classy and fins

  1. The defense is pretty much ass, Tyreek is out for the season (if not indefinitely), and they barely pulled out a win (AT HOME) against the Jets, who in all fairness beat themselves. Miami will not be turning this season around.

  2. No, they cant turn it around because they are a flawed roster and are garbage. They barely beat one of the worst teams in the NFL and they only did that because the Jets shot themselves in the foot multiple times.

  3. No they cannot turn it around. They just beat an 0-3 Jets team at home who turned it over three times and committed an absurd number of drive killing penalties, by just 6 points.

  4. I am sorry but you really can not make much out of this win, as it was against a Jets team that sucks and was constantly shooting themselves in the foot! We won that game by one score against a team (Jets) who have about a thousand brain-dead penalties. Even if this team could back into the playoffs, they will get bounced in the first round of the playoffs in a very ugly loss no matter who they end up playing against. You want to turn this season around, then I hope they lose every single game going forward, so they have the draft picks to be attractive to a good GM and HC

  5. Dolphins are shite, Mc Daniel needs to be fired, the offensive coordinator and defensive coordinator need to be fired, Grier needs to be fired and Ross needs a reality check😂

  6. So we tanked for Tua but we wont tank for a new coach, gm and new change? That is wild to me that we want them to turn it around, why? So we can live the same way next season? Onward!

  7. Its funny how many fans talk about next years draft..I get it from their point of view…but no NFL player or coach is ever concerned with next years draft..nor should they be!!!!

  8. Btw..reason to keep an eye on ir…over next 2 weeks ..Sanders-K..Austin Jackson-Rt…James Daniels RG…Andrew Meyer-C and Liam Eichenburg -G….all will look to be ready for potential return..also Jaylen Wright is back off IR
