EMBARRASSED ON PRIMETIME! New York Jets vs Miami Dolphins RECAP & REACTION | Week 4 2025

What a waste of time. What a complete three
and a half hours gone like that. The Jets are smoked by the division rival Miami Dolphins on
prime time football in front of everybody. Oh, we only lost by one possession. It doesn’t
matter. If you watched that game, you saw the amount of mistakes, the amount of deficiencies,
the amount of issues, the straightup ineptitude with this football team. You know what I find
very alarming is the fact that we’re a month into the season and the Jets are not better in
one single category that they than they were a month ago. Not one. Not one. Nick Folk maybe,
but we are actually horrible. This and look, no one expected this Jets team to make the
playoffs, right? Obviously not. No one expected, you know, these the Justin Fields MVP and this
defense to be top three or anything. But I I think a lot of fans were just expecting competent
football, right? Can we get rid of I mean the Jets did a great job by getting rid of like a lot
of the dysfunction that was in the locker room from a year ago. And obviously this is not, you
know, this overnight fix here, but oh my like this it’s just problem after problem after problem
after problem with this football team. And I don’t understand how we aren’t showing growth.
And look, you know, it’s not week 10, week 11, but I don’t care. We’re a month into the
season. We are playing the winless Miami Dolphins that have that that have a myriad
of different issues offensively, defensively, time of possession issues, coaching issues, buyin
issues, turnover issues. They The Jets ran more plays. The Jets had more yards. The Jets were the
better rushing team. The Jets, I believe, had more drives. Let me actually double check that. Yes,
they did. The Jets had 10 drives. The Dolphins had nine. The Jets were better on third downs.
The Jets were better through the air, right? Fields had more passing yards than Tua. He was
more efficient than Tua. The Jets averaged more yards per play than this Dolphins team because the
Jets shot themselves in the foot over and over and over and over and over again. 13 penalties. 13
freaking penalties for over 100 yards. That is a free football field. Think about that. That
is a free football field of yardage that you are giving an opponent. Now, to be fair, I didn’t
really agree with a lot of the calls, especially in the second half, but it’s week after week. It
the Jets finding themselves in bad situations, finding ways to lose games continues to pop up.
It was a big problem last season. It was a big problem the season before that. It continues
to be a problem this year as we’re sitting here right now as an 0 and4 football team. Now, look,
I didn’t expect the Jets to be 11 wins, 10 wins, or anything. I only had the Jets at six wins this
season. And that of course is still doable. But to be sitting here right now as an 0 and4 football
team with zero signs of growth, I again I find very very alarming. The other massive takeaway
from tonight’s game, the turnovers. The Jets had three. Did the Jets have any takeaways on the
defensive side of the football? Did they were they able to force the turnover? No. What a surprise,
right? Another week goes by with zero turnovers or zero takeaways rather on this Jets defense. Um,
I do not understand it. But I got to be honest, it wasn’t really the flags. It wasn’t really the
turnovers that, you know, drove me absolutely crazy. Yeah, that stuff really pissed me off.
But I think the main problem, which has been a problem in every single game that the Jets have
played this season, has been the pass coverage. Why on earth is the pass coverage this bad?
Sauce Gardner is the highest paid corner in the National Football League and he looks completely
replaceable. Just name a corner in football, plug him, you know, Madden’s trade, right? Gardner for
take any other corner on any other team and you feel like you’re going to get the same production.
Why is that the case? Michael Carter, what has happened there in the slot? The Jets over the
middle of the field are horrendous. It is abysmal. The slot coverage for this Jets defense, it needs
to change, man. I I can’t even believe what I’m seeing over the middle of the field. Right. So,
Gardner is not playing up to the deal. Michael Carter is just a he’s been a complete liability.
By the way, he got hurt tonight. Oh my. You have Brandon Stevens on the outside who surprisingly
made a couple plays tonight. So, I mean to, you know, to be frank, he was, in my opinion, the
best corner that actually started tonight. Um, wasn’t amazing by any means, but, you know, I had
at least a couple of plays, but it doesn’t excuse the first three games. And then I can’t even I I
I truly cannot even talk about the safety play, right? It’s late here on a Monday. I could
spend 15 minutes talking about missed tackles, poor angles being taken to the football, a lack
of pursuit, a lack of aggression. The Jets have the worst safeties safety play in football right
now. That’s the bottom line. It is horrifying. It is horrifying. So, when you combine corners that
can’t cover, corners that are almost slow moving or they’re like a half step behind the opposition,
the wide receivers coming out of the, you know, coming out of a of a standstill, right? The ball
is snapped, the wide receivers start to move. They get a half step, a step down on the field,
and now our Jets corners are starting to move, matched with poor safety play. Again, tackling,
angles, pursuit, just horrible, horrible, horrible problems that are happening in the back end of
this defense. And it just makes me I’m a defensive first guy. I love defensive football. You know,
I’ve like I can just go on and on talking about favorite, you know, my favorite schemes, going,
you know, even into, you know, the college level, talking about just great defensive minds, Jim
Nolles, Man, like some of my favorite Barry, some of my favorite coaches, and it just may again,
it makes me sick when I watch this Jets defense, my favorite team, and it is just first round pick
after first round pick after first round pick, uh, millions of dollars spent, highest
paid players, you know, at some of the highest paid players at their position.
You know, a veteran defensive coordinator who’s called tons of defenses before in the
past. How is it this bad? How is it this bad? I mean, they are calling plays on the defensive
side of the I mean, there are moments in the first couple drives of that game where they’re calling
like a blitz and I can pick it anyone watching on television can pick up these blitzes from a
mile away. You know, for even like some of the uh you know DBs dropping back into coverage
like Michael Carter dropping back, you know, flying back before the ball’s even snapped. Who
would like picks that up easily? just hits hits uh Tyreek just easy easy easy pitch and catch. What
are we doing there? What are we doing? And then if the Jets do decide to play zone coverage, again
we talked about this in the preview video. Tua, Tyreek Wadd, Darren Waller, they’re smart enough
to easily find these these soft spots, these pockets in in in zone defense, right? When you’re
thin at the linebacker position, when you are god awful at safety and you can’t cover, what are the
chances that Mike McDaniel, the offensive minded head coach that he is, is going to have this
offense in a position to have success? Was the pass rush there? No. 20 wasn’t sacked one time.
How’s the Miami Dolphins offensive line? It’s not that good. They’re on top of it. They’re dealing
with injuries, right? Austin Jackson, he’s here again. No James Daniels. No sacks. No sacks. Part
of the reason is because two is able to get rid of the football so quickly. This defense is oh my
god. It just drives me up a wall. It this defense drives me insane. It It really does. I mean they
do the same thing over and over and over. They don’t adjust. They’re not trying anything new.
Steelers, Bills, Bucks down a million players. Miami Dolphins, the winless Dolphins that have
again a ton of problems. The defense can’t stop anybody. There is no faith in this defense to
actually get a stop. The only time you kind of feel like the defense has a chance to get a stop
is if the opposing offense misses a throw or they have a boneheaded penalty and they, you know, now
they’re backed up second and 20 or second and 15. Oh my god, it is just infuriating. It is
absolutely infuriating watching a defense like this. It would be one thing if we’re rolling out
a b, you know, rolling out a bunch of undrafted free agents or, you know, you’re looking at the
overall talent and it’s just like, okay, we don’t really have, you know, a lot of dollars invested
in this, you know, in this room. But, um, yeah, it is, it is, um, absolutely awful. Absolutely
awful. And then offensively, I mean, what is what is there really to say? A rookie offensive first
year offensive coordinator, Tanner Ringstrand, you know, I think there’s moments where it’s just
like, okay, I didn’t really agree with that play call, but you look at the wide receivers, man.
You look at the wide receivers, it is just like, how can you expect this dynamic passing attack
when you’re wide receiver 2, Josh Reynolds, right? The guy that had this great training camp,
the the, you know, the the true wide receiver, too, who’s finally healthy. He’s giving you a
whopping zero yards tonight. What about Alan Lazard? Right, he’s still on this roster. He’s a
veteran player. Oh, eight yards, one catch. So, between the wide receiver two and the wide
receiver three, we have eight yards. Tyler Johnson, what about him? Inactive. Tyler Johnson
did not play. The Miami Dolphins defense coming into tonight was dead last in football in points
per game and opposing completion percentage. So, in other words, the quarterbacks that
this Dolphins defense is playing against, they are dropping back and they’re
completing the ball at the highest clip in the entire National Football League.
Not tonight. The Dolphins defense looked great. Problems, problems, problems with this football
team. Again, I have not watched the Aaron Glenn press conference. It is late. This video is
probably going to be uploaded super late. I appreciate you guys sticking around and watching,
but there are some serious freaking issues that uh you know have got to be addressed this
week. Thank you guys so much for watching. I appreciate you guys. You guys are true dieh
hard fans here. We’re going to have some pretty big topics this week on the channel. You
know, asking some big questions. Are the Jets the worst team? Like serious questions
here? Because based off of what we’ve seen, there’s not much to to write home about.
Not much to really get behind here. And it’s very freaking alarming. Anyway,
thanks so much and as always, go Jets.

The New York Jets lose to the Miami Dolphins on primetime 27-21. It felt like a dolphins beat down right from the 1st quarter and the Jets had no answers. Lots of things to work on as the weeks go on here. Major questions have to be asked on the defensive side of the ball. As always..go Jets!

  1. 100 yards in penalties alone is crazy that’s the whole field length in penalties that’s potentially another td plus the fumble at the goal line jets left a lot of points in the board🤣🤣🤣

  2. The fair catch on the two yard line is one of the most absurd things I have ever seen on a football field at any level. What in gods name too is Braylon doing returning kicks.

Glenn looks overwhelmed and in over his head. I didn’t like the hire, and they did it anyway.

  3. the annoying thing is if we had the 2022 or 2023 defense we're 3-1. Somehow the defense and defensive play calling is a major issue 😐 when it used to be a bright spot not two years ago

  4. Shit owner, shit coaches, shit players, shit franchise. I don’t watch the games anymore. I just come for Ian’s recaps. I’m a much happier person for it. Thank you for your effort and spirit brother. God bless you.

  5. It's only week 4 of a new regime. It only took us 20 plus years to get over the hump, we Bills fans. Hang in there. Just like the android in Alien, I don't want to lie to you about your chances, but you have my sympathy, Jets fans

  6. Honestly, I understand the issues fans had with Saleh but I loved him. Our defenses during his tenure were near the top in the NFL. And having a defense keeps you in games

  7. I’ll be honest with you, I don’t really expect the jets to do anything this year other than just become a team that knows how to win games. Still got a bunch of work to do. Right now I feel like it’s the jets vs everyone including themselves and the refs.

  8. Also Sherwood is garbage. He’s suppose to be the leader of our deffense. He’s at best a back up. We need a real linebacker. And also better defensive coach. Wilks seems to be no good.

  9. I think more people need to go back and look at the 2021 Detroit Lions. ….. really. The Jets have no depth at all. This is not something that gets fixed in 1 year. That’s why when our top starters get injured they get exposed badly . I estimate in 2 years , there will be , at most , 15 players remaining from this team. I hope that Glenn and Mougey are given the chance to rebuild this entire team, I am tired of short cuts and quick fixes. We have $73 million in dead cap because of quick fixes from the last 2 years. Next year there is still another $35 million cap hit for Rodgers. Hard to build a team when you are still paying for past failures.

  10. Defense is horrendous. Refs were an absolute joke. Cut Isaiah Williams. Muffed punt and fair catch at the 2… not possible to be more inept than that. And cut Tony Adams. Can that dude ever not whiff on a tackle? I’ve never seen a worse tackler ever.

  11. I'll keep reminding the jets channels I watch. Zero wins called by me months ago, as we go into the bye week. Keeping receipts for all the loud mouthed naysayers! And there's plenty of them.

  12. The way I look at it every team has 53 players and the great herm edwards summed it up best you play to win the game. Well this team is playing to get paid for not playing to win the game plain and simple. This isn’t 1960’s football with dick butkus hands taped blood on his knuckles and him itching to get back in to trounce someone. And he didn’t play on a winning team for 9 years but he didn’t let that diminish his play. The problem was the other 52 didn’t play like him.

  13. I’m seeing a lot of Justin fields slander online. Blaming him for this lose. I’m more upset with the offense penalties, fumbling on the 1 yard line and offensive line. JF is the second best player on offense and that’s kinda sad

  14. During training camp, many Jet fans said how much they were happy with Aaron Glenn as the new head coach even before Glenn had coached a single game as head coach. Now, many of those same fans want Glenn fired after only 4 games.
