Defense did their job (for the most part) in the 2nd half & OT but I still can’t figure out why they let a backup QB do exactly what a backup QB is comfortable doing.
– Only rushing 4 when it wasn’t generating any pressure and letting Mac throw from clean pockets over and over.
– inviting him to check down and dump off easy throws over and over.
You’d think the goal when playing a backup QB would be create chaos and make them beat you with the harder throws.

I hate losing to the 49ers, but god damn. I’ve got massive respect for Mac Jones after the game that he played. I love the grittiness.

As a Rams’ fan, it makes.you sick but I wasn’t surprised because I think their defense is better this year than last year and Shanahan/Saleh are good coaches. Mac Jones was getting the ball off quick throwing those intermediate routes before the pass rush could get there early on. I remember nackup Nick Mullins with the game winning drive during covid with no fans at SoFi.
