batting around in the first inning is never a good thing.
It just continues to fall apart. Holy shit.
Why short rest Boyd over Rea? Seems like a weird choice. Gonna hand them extra momentum with the Counsell revenge win too
We need a big K now to exit this jam.
Bring in Rizzo to pitch the rest of the game
Nice ab blue
Yeesh
Tf is a strike to this ump Jesus
Walk him on rag arm
i am begging God to personally come down here and end this inning
Boyd away from Wrigley has been an outright disaster.
But bro it’s just the first inning bro trust me bro
LOL
Thanks Jed
Just imploding here
Damn
I mean hooray we won the series but this is when pulling pitchers after throwing 4 innings bites you in the ass
Well this is brutal lol
Would be outta the inning if Nico fielded the ground ball…
Not great
Jed Hoyer said here’s a nice trade deadline addition! Smile cubs fans!
This sadly is what happens when the two aces are not starting in the playoffs. Without Cade and Steele, a deep playoff run just doesn’t see feasible. Going to a struggling starter on short rest for the NLDS is a symptom of deeper issues.
I have to turn the game off and enjoy the day
I know this arm chair manager shit but maybe we wouldn’t be so worried about a depleted bullpen if Counsell was willing to let his starters ever go more than 4 innings in a game. Obviously we won the wild card series so he pushed the right buttons in a sense but still…
TBS Never going to critique the officiating. They just made Soroka throw strike 4 & 5.
It’s still 1st inning too lol
We lose one pitcher and the seasons over
Lot of baseball left boys LETS GO CUBBIES
Great, now the ump lost the strike zone even more
Might as well let Ben Brown have some postseason reps if we’re just throwing this one away…
Damn it hurts to watch the Cubs shit the bed rn.
This brewers team will continue to rake. Seen it all year
Don’t worry, fellas, Ben Brown is on the roster to soak up some innings today.
Just misery.
It’s over
If I’m Craig, Soroka is taking me to 7 even if it means we lose game 1. Save the pen clearly it fucked up Boyd don’t squander game 2 because of fatigue
Boyd is a liability for the remainder of the season
Okay, now I’m getting a little bit worried here.
I’m out

did we just lose the game in the 1st? …..
6-1 games over
This is 💯 on Craig. This is what happens when you celebrate like you won the ws when winning a wild card round
Jfc
I’m about to turn this shit off
