ARIZONA CARDINALS ARE AN EMBARRASSMENT
You worried now? Is everybody worried now or are we still not too worried about anything? Are you Are you worried now? [Music] You are Locked On Cardinals, your daily Arizona Cardinals podcast, part of the Locked On podcast network. Your team every day. Somebody’s getting fired. Somebody’s getting fired. Alex Nancy locked on Cardinals instant reaction show week six. Um, that was scared. That was disorganized. And that was exactly what everybody feared it was going to be. Looks like a duck, sounds like a duck, talks like a duck. It’s an embarrassing ass football team. I’m not selling my condo. I’m not I’m not I’m not putting my condo on the market. I love it in Arizona too much. Okay. I’m not I’m not easy. I knew it was going to be you. Um all joking aside, Drew Pettson should be gone. Should not call another snap for the Arizona Cardinals. I don’t know how to compartmentalize the final score from how we got there. What we witnessed over the last half an hour of real time shouldn’t exist in existence of of humanity. Not an original story. Cardinals up 213 humming along. Offense looked great early. Defense looked great early. Run game looked good. Pass game looked good. Marv had his signature catch in the first quarter, which seems like three years ago from everything we experienced between then, which was the first drive of the game, and what we’re looking at now. This is not all on Drew Petting. This is Jonathan Ganon. They just This is the the players. You can’t just blame the You can’t just blame the coaches, okay? All they can do is call the plays. Maybe the plays aren’t fantastic all the time, but Kyler Murray’s still got to play football. Let’s start with one redeeming quality. Marv looked good when he got the ball thrown to him. That’s it. Okay, let’s move on to everything else. This is scared. This is illprepared for any sort of pressure whatsoever. And this is an organization that ain’t going to win jack this season. I’m not one to say, and I said this in the Cardinal squad show last week, I think the Cardinals should absolutely punish this team, but you have to say it with respect that they are a fullfledged NFL team coming here from Nashville. And the Cardinals did what they did against New Orleans. They did what they did against uh Carolina. And it’s even worse now because the loss is there. They’re 2-3. They should be 4- one, but bad teams find ways to lose games they’re supposed to win. Look at the Amari De Marcato run. For those in the chat, thank you everybody hanging out. Flood the chat. The Amari De Marcato run and fumble right before the goal line is a microcosm of the Arizona Cardinal season as a whole. You run all the way to the end and you fumble the ball at the goal line instead of running it across into pay dirt. They should be four and one. They’re two and three. And I’ll tell you what, I’d be shocked if either of the next two games are one score games. This is a loss that can crater a season. And I’m not being fantastical, okay? I’m not speaking in platitudes. I’m not being hyperbolic. I know that Max Melton was out. I know that Darius Robinson is out. All this stuff, who cares? This offensive line on the interior is not good with Isaiah Adams there. The out the exterior of the offensive line isn’t good with Jonah Williams there. This and I’m seeing a lot of like this is the worst loss I’ve ever seen. My my text chats my text are getting blown up. That’s how does that happen? When you do the right things karmically, balls tend to bounce your way lit literally and figuratively. The way the Texans scored that touchdown with Tyler Lockett jumping on it when you know there were, you know, it was like a Charlie Chaplain film with three football players who couldn’t touch a football. This is Jonathan Ganon. This is Drew Petting. And zero loss this year is on the defense. They haven’t been perfect and they got gashed early in this game. Okay? So, they’re not perfect. But this is the first time. And listen, for those that say get Kylo Rock, Kylo Rock, Kyler, that’s fine. And I could see that side. This is the first time really where I’m like, is there a team that’ll give him give a first and a second for Kyler? I’m not all the way there yet because that would be hyperbolic, but that clock that’s ticking is now ticking in hypers speed. If Jonathan Ganon comes out in his postgame presser and says, “There are things we have to work on and I have to be better and I’m not too worried about it.” I’m gonna scream. I’m going to scream. What worries you then, kiddo? What worries you then? Why? What worries you after this game? Oh, there were some good things out there and, you know, Michael Carter played well and the offensive line was fine and blah blah blah blah. It’s like no shot, no shot. And listen, when they didn’t have expectations, you can mask what Jonathan Ganon is doing. Listen, I think Jonathan Gan is a great leader of men, okay? Maybe he’s a coordinator. I’m not ready just to throw the book at Jonathan Ganon, okay? But it’s very obvious that the defense is ready and the offense isn’t. The offense has these flash plays. And listen, tell your friends. Steal this. It’s just us and a couple hundred people. Just, it’s just us. Steal this. Tell your friends. You look like the smartest person on the planet. The Amari de Marcato run and fumble right in front of the goal line is exactly what the Arizona Cardinal season has been up until this point. You get there and you just can’t cross the goal line. You take it for granted. You think it’s easy. And then you’re two and three and you lose to a crapbox team who had no business smelling the same turf as the Cardinals today. It is unconscionable that we’re having this conversation. And yes, I thought the Cardinals were going to win by 100 and they were up 213. They would have been up 286 if Mari Marcato stepped over into pay dirt with the ball in his hand like an NFL player is supposed to. And then everything switched because oh no, there’s adversity. Oh no, what do the Cardinals do now? Oh no. Oh no, there’s something that doesn’t go perfectly. So they actually have to use their brains and change things and fix it. And oh no, they lose. Like that’s how fast it happened. That’s how fast we got here. So I’m going to go to break. Hang with me. It’s going to be one minute. Be right back. I’ll give the full breakdown with the numbers and everything on Monday as I always do. But we need to talk quickly about what this means for tomorrow and for Sunday in Indie and for a week from Sunday at home against Green Bay going into the by-week. Like there are serious conversations that need to be had now and I’m here to do it with you. Be right back. This episode of Locked on Cardinals instant reaction show is brought to you by Square. Uh your favorite neighborhood spots run on Square. Man, there’s so many in Arizona. There’s over a hundred businesses that make the neighborhood the neighborhood. These are the places that become an extension of home. Whether it’s the sports bar dedicated to your team’s fan base, the spot with the best wings in town for game day, or that beloved local chain that’s been rooted in your community for years, these businesses are what bring people together. Whether neighborhood businesses thrive, when they thrive, the whole neighborhood does as well. Square is a proud partner of more than four million neighborhood businesses around the world. You can go to square.com/go/lockton NFL to learn more. But before you do, go support your favorite neighborhood spot. You’ll be happy you did. Square. See you in the neighborhood. Cardinals lose. Um, I more wish they would have just got blown out because it would have been a different way to witness this team than what we’ve seen every week so far this year. The Cardinals quite literally could be 5-0 this year. Like truly, and that’s not like, oh, any team could be 5-0 because, you know, you win games, you lose games. No, the Cardinals 100% could be 5-0 this year. Yet they’re a bad team with bad leadership in certain spots and that yields a two and three record. They are wasting Trey McBride’s career. They’re wasting Paris Johnson Jr.’s career. They’re wasting these players career. I feel bad for Kaus. Like bad teams find ways to lose games they have no business losing. And somehow the Cardinals are like the best at that. Them and the Chargers are the best at that. They find ways to lose games they’re 100% supposed to win. This one this year is on Jonathan Gan. Yeah. Drew Pensing hasn’t been great. Okay. The play on the field hasn’t been great. if with what we heard at the end of last week, I can’t remember if it was Friday or the Monday this earlier this week where they’re like, “Oh, no, not everything’s fine. We’re not going to change anything.” Change of the outfits. No, I’m not worried about I’m not too worried about it. I’m not too worried about what other people are worried about. What worries you then, sir? What worries you then? The Cardinals are going to lose by 40 next week if this is the if this is the product they put out there. This is red alert right away. Figure like I don’t care what the offense looks like the rest of the year if they do fire Drew Petting. I was not for it up until what I just saw. That was an embarrassment. Just like the first three quarters on Thursday night. This was worse. somehow. How is this worse? How is that possible? They’re finding newer and newer lows to get to when for a quarter of the game they look like an all-star team. I mean, I’m seeing so many like lot of petting, lot of clown show, a lot of this whole team is terrible, you know, putting too much hope in them. I listen, I I try to be like, you look at the roster and you’re like, well, this like this team should be four in one like like truly. So, take take the Saints game. There’s no world they should have lost to the 49ers. And there’s no universe that exists truthfully or imaginatively. I don’t care if it’s Morgan Mindy or the Milky Way. There’s no world the Cardinals should have lost today. There’s no world. I feel bad for the fans. Um it makes Michael those what are those things called Kasa whatever like the the red uh uh the red um seats in the stands a new thing the Michael Bidwell thought oh this is going to draw people let’s paint the color of the seat different and charge them a lot and they’ll get some food this is going to bring things in this is the Dallas Cowboys without the rings This is the Dallas Cowboys without the winds. This is just a circus. I’ve been doing this a long damn time. And I’m not saying that as like I’m great or look at me or anything like that. This one, even for me, after 15 years in sports media, this is the ninth season hosting this show. This may be the worst loss in Kyler Murray’s tenure. It’s the worst loss. It’s not because it’s new. I I don’t care about the playoff game in 2020, which was eons ago. The really tough part is for those Thank you. Thanks for the comments. We should be four. The Cardinals should be four- one. First two wins, San Francisco, you got one stop, you win that game, and then this game should be a win. That’s four in one. Come on. Like, yeah, they aren’t, but also they should be. Come on. There are a lot a lot of comments saying the Cardinals need to replace Kyler Murray. And while I said, you know, early on like, well, you know, let’s if somebody had that conversation with me now, I would open the door. I’m not saying I’d listen. I might not be speaking the same language, but I would open the door. Let’s go collectively here. What do you do if it’s not Kyler Murray? What do you do? You draft one, watch college football. Not great. You trade for one, the good ones will never be traded from the team. I will see you all Monday. Just shattering numbers today. Thank you so much for joining. We are going to jump on immediately after I hit end stream and it will be myself, Jamal Douglas, and Ben Garcia on the Cardinal Squad Show for a full hour. Join us. Like quite literally in the next five minutes, we’ll be live again. Thanks to everybody for commenting. Everybody, I’m not selling my condo easy. I’m not doing it. Thank you. This is going to be a tough week. And I promise I will be your therapist Monday through Friday, locked on Cardinals. I’ll see you Monday. But right now, Cardinal squad show. Join us. I’ll talk to you soon. Man, I cannot believe they lost that game.

That last possession is what cost them this game!!!!!!! Demorcado and Petzing HAS GOT TO GOOOOOOO!!!!!! BOTH IF THEM LOST THIS GAME AND THE NINERS GAME!!!!! This team is losing out and come!!!!!! I don't see them winning another game this year!!!!!
Every team from the Valley is an embarrassment Suns Dbacks Cardinals and Especially the Sun Devils 😂
I don’t know how you can run it back with K1 and Pezting. Gannon can go too
How close are we to declaring the rebuild a failure.
And I thought being a Jets fan was bad! Why would you hold the ball all the way until an inch before the goal line? What coach taught him that?
I said from the beginning of the season the we can only win about 5 games… and this was one of them. How do they disappoint the lowest expectation that I had for this team? Life as a Cards fan.
MHJ is not WR1. Sorry, but thats true. Murray is AWFUL. The Line is awful too.
Murray just runs now, no real QB play. I am sorry, our offense only has McBride rn. That's it. This is, saldy, peak Cardinals.
I'm 69. Been a Cards fan since I was a little kid growing up in St. Louis. I have witnessed some crazy loses in my lifetime, this was the worst ever! I'm done.
Two most embarrassing losses I’ve witnessed from the Cardinals have one common denominator. The playoff loss against the rams and today’s game. Both games had Kyler Murray. Time is up. Time to move on.
No team is gonna give you a first and second for Kyle 😂
They could be 0-5 also
If I’m the ownership I would call in the coaching staff and give them their walking papers first thing at 7am morning.
No one’s getting fired bc there’s no accountability in this franchise
You go Alex
This team sucks
Draft better
Brother… Bidwell doesn't care about us. He screws over his fans for the rich all the time. My family was directly effectrd by it. Bidwell has no intention of keeping his promise.
Only the Cardinals can snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. The Offensive Coordinator needs to be fired. The O line coach shouldn't get comfortable, either. Also, the coach needs to be let go after the season if they do not greatly improve and have a winning record.
Omg! Season ticket holders at 88. I’m so disgusted.
Can it get any worse?
The Cardinals make me feel a lot better about being a Browns fan 😂
Gannon is just another version of kingsberry
⚔️⚔️⚔️⚔️⚔️
There’s no way we’re getting a first for Kyler Murray. So we’re stuck with though doubt he’s the answer at QB.
Lmfao
I thought this coach was good. I was very wrong! The Cardinals need to hire a coach with balls, and that knows how to win. They also need to trade Murray while they can still get a decent trade for him. If the coaches had any confidence in him and their recievers, they would be throwing the ball to try and get the first down. Yet, they ran it with the second and third string running back three times. What does that tell you? Horrible! Their season is over. The Colts are going to destroy them next week. Get ready for another embarrassing loss. They might beat the bengals, but I doubt it. I predict a 2 win and 15 loss season. They SUCK!
Well Alex, start screaming because Gannon said exactly that
4:36. Titans actually. Still in a fog that we won. I'm used to the really bizarre breaks going the other way. Sorry for your loss but super thrilled for our players.
Cardinals SUCK! Coaching sucks! 2 wins 15 losses is what I predict. Season is over. I was going to buy tickets to go to a game, but not anymore. It would be a waste of money.
