So disrespectful…

  1. The trajectory of the team keeps going down. His odds aren’t going to increase on a bad team.

No one is really expecting Dyson Daniels to have a bigger impact on defense than a big(Bam), they’re expecting people to give a shit about the Hawks.

  2. It’s unfortunate for Bam but this team consistently being mediocre at best in the regular season hasn’t done him any favors. 2022 was his year

  3. Odds are irrelevant into the awarding this early into the season. He should start beasting this season defensively and make Heat be around Top 4 in the East (for the “narrative”) if he wants it, by then he might have a chance still to get it. This is me being hopeful tho.

  4. If he sold out and gambled for steals and hunted blocks, they’d put him so much higher. Even though he’d be a worse overall defender

  5. and coach SPO has never been COY. and Wade wasn’t MVP 2009. is what it is. all that matters is getting another ring

  6. Team needs to be top 5 at least in defense for Bam to have a chance. He’ll even has less of a chance if Wemby plays the right amount of games.

  7. If he didn’t win it the year they gave to Smart he’s never winning it. Window closed for him unfortunately

  8. Bam will never win it as long as he plays in Miami. He would already have one if he played for the Lakers, Celtics, or Knicks. The media just doesn’t like Miami. I’m still shocked by Herro winning Sixth Man of the Year.

  9. Respectfully. This is valid. Bar Green who is vastly over rated at this point of his career

  10. The window’s still open. I don’t know if it’s gonna happen for this that’s addicted to mediocrity.

  11. Once you put on a heat jersey, get ready to be snubbed and underappreciated. LeBron did get 2 mvpa while here but he shoulda got dpoy in ’13 IMHO. Also, arguably shoulda got it over Rose (MVP) in ’11 as he had much better stats but media wanted to give it to Rose who was NBA’s up and coming golden boy and LeBron at the time was a heavy heavy villain. Wade was snubbed out of countless NBA defenses. I remember recently Jimmy was snubbed of an all-star spot in ’23 and that was his 2nd best season of his career.

  12. He was 10th in voting last year and that’s without Wemby and Chet in voting last year (pretty sure they were in top 5 before game requirement wasn’t met) so it isn’t really disrespectful.
