PADRES ELIMINATED FROM POSTSEASON

Just like that, after a season of so many storylines, so many big trades at the deadlines, so much hype, the Padres’s are officially eliminated from the 2025 postseason. Your boy Javier Ray here from Lockdown Padres’s not thriving and vibing. Just sorrow and mororrow and whatever. The Padres’s losing this game by a score of 3 to one. Lots of storylines in this one. U Darvish getting absolutely blown up. Uh Washedwatch, he’s been on he’s been on it for a while. I think we can officially announce that he is officially washed. Bad game for him only lasting one inning. The bullpen does its job. There’s some questions um about maybe specific relievers they use, but mostly offense doesn’t show up. 0 for four day for Fernando Tatis Jr. awful awful stuff. And don’t get me wrong, some bad calls, right? The bad strike three call against Sander Bogarts kills the potential that they might have had maybe for a ninth inning rally, but too little too late. Can’t blame them. Cubs defense played amazing, especially Danby Swanson. But now the big thing is going to be this off seasonason does set up two questions. Number one, what’s going to happen with Michael King? Was he hurt by the way? Is that one reason? Is there anything going on with him? Cuz he only went one inning in today’s game. Not that he was the problem. The pitching was great. And then of course, uh, is anyone going to get fired for this? Do we lose AJ Prowler? Do we lose Mike Schill given that it is new ownership? Um, after all. So, we’re going to have to follow all those questions and I will answer all of them and many more like best free agents and all that stuff on the Lockdown Padres’s podcast all throughout the rest of the year. Just because the parties are done doesn’t mean the show is. But uh we’re still sad, everybody. We’re still sad.

  6. I’m a Cub fan. Hats off to you guys. That was as stressful of a series as I have ever been through as a fan in any sport. You guys deserve credit.

    I have a soft spot for the Padres, because you’re high A affiliate (Fort Wayne Tincaps) is in my hometown. I remember seeing Jackson Merrill and Tatis when they were here. Particularly Tatis, you could tell that he was gonna be a star.

  17. The Reds suck, but both these teams aren't much better,. Neither can win on the road, they can't beat good teams. All they can do is beat-up on < .500 teams. The Brewers would have beaten the Padres just as they will beat the Cubs in the next round.

  29. Blue fan here. Unreal how SD underachieves. Good lineup, spending owner, best bullpen…i can argue the padres are better built than the dodgers for the postseason…dodgers Pen sucks….BUT the dodgers big 3 show up
