Wieber with the breaking news
Personally see this as good for both Ville Heinola and the Jets/Moose organization. The Finnish defender can go down and rediscover his game without the pressure of the NHL and the AHL club gets a big asset to help push the puck to a talented fwd group.

I am surprised that Ville cleared, but I guess there are several teams with better 7/8 options.
Manitoba Moose hardest working media man Dave at it again!
I’m very happy Ville cleared, both for him and the Jets. It will be very good for both him and the team for him to go to the moose and play top pairing icetime with Elias Salomonsson.
Best case scenario- they develop real chemistry and they’re a future NHL pairing for the Jets.
Worst case scenario – he’s a “scout team” Josh Morrissey and Salo gets used to playing with that sort of partner and it speeds up his path to playing with Jomo on the Jets, which lets us get Demelo on the 3rd pair where he should probably be playing g.
No other team claimed him. Hope this lets Ville find something back in some confidence in the A. He last dominated there.
But I thought Ville was persecuted by a vindictive Jets FO and coaching staff that didn’t see his value.
Moose should actually have a decent team this year. If they’re not in a playoff spot at Christmas the coach needs to be fired.

But Heinola is the second coming…😂. I hope he does well with the moose.
Happy Villie gets some playing time. Obviously the other teams see he’s not ready for a regular role either. I fully expect him to get a call up before Christmas if he plays well.
Haven’t really taken the Ville Pill myself but it’s good that he’ll just be able to play some hockey, hasn’t been able to do much of that for the last couple years, primarily due to bad luck
