  4. That’s such an abandonment of responsibility and leadership to just hope or expect “someone to step up and make a play”. If you’re going to be so passive about it, you may as well not be there, because this is not inspiring to any player to hear from their coach.

  6. I would kind of liked to have seen them go for 2pts on all of the PAT in the 2nd half then if the confidence level of winning was that high.

    He seems like good people, ya know?

    But he’s really bad at being an NFL head coach, and I wish the ownership would realize this and stop making us all suffer through this and hate a nice dude just because he sucks at the job they won’t fire him from.

  17. I do not think it is fair to judge our coaches and players until you have a competent front office that provides a foundation the team can build off of.

  23. I think he should be fired but this is not a stupid thing to say. Him believing in his players in that moment is great. If he didn’t, he would have no place being on the sideline. Did you want him to say ‘fuck it, we forfeit’? Dumb take.

  26. Alright I’ve been on the bandwagon to fire ZT, and honestly feel like 25 other teams would have fired him today. But how is this a bad answer in a press conference? That he always believes his team will win the game until the final whistle is blown? That he’s not throwing in the towel on the season just because it’s looked bleak?

  27. The reason he felt like they were going to come back and find a way to win is because he’s used to being carried by Joe Burrow.

  30. His contract runs through next year, so we have him until the end of next year. That’s the bottom line. If the Bengals win 9 or 10 games next year he will probably get an extension. That’s the bottom line below the bottom line.
