The front office / resource allocation is also part of this: even when needs are obvious, they don’t pour in the capital (money, picks, trade assets) to fix the trench problems.

They played ok yesterday. As did the defense. Yesterday’s loss was due to Jake Browning making some of the worse throws I’ve ever seen in the NFL.
In general I would read Drews articles anytime over Hob-Spin on the Bengal’s website with his feel good articles and Zac Taylor suck off sessions.
<<Author Zoltán Buday honestly only seems to be a fan of one of the Bengals’ starting linemen, center Ted Karras.
Immediately delegitimized.
I know it’s boring to keep harping on it but this is the worst front office in sports. A generational QB fell in their lap and they’ve spent YEARS failing to give him a half decent O line. If you love Joe Burrow you need to boycott this team until the FO is cleaned out.
This is from July. Stop posting old news!
My biggest fear in all of this is this scenario I’ve played out in my head.
Zac Taylor fired
Need a big name hire
We hire William Bellichek to be head coach AND GM
Utter disaster ensues
At this point I don’t believe it’s the players. It’s a shitty structure of an offense that sets the OL up to fail. Everyone that comes here gets worse.
Like predicting the sun will rise in the morning with how shit this team is ran
I would encourage everyone to read this before shitting on the players, or even the FO. The scheme they run is the “most difficult” in the NFL. That seems like a coaching issue to me. It’s also the scheme Burrow likes to run.
It’s not as simple as everyone seems to make it out to be.
Garrison is tik tok bro.
Miami and Cincy back to rebuilds. Literally the same team lmao
Our defense was horrible last year so I get going defense with the first two picks but we could of double dipped and had both Zabel and Ratledge this year manning the IOL Guard positions
Don’t engage with the team. Don’t watch them. Don’t buy merch. Don’t even talk about the team on social media. Either fans start sending a message and hurt his wallet or we will repeat the same mistake every day. Turn off the Bengals this season.
You can say the same problem plagues their Dline too. I will say this, The FO have tried but have been unsuccessful at their attempts both by taking players who haven’t panned out longterm or haven’t been the same since an injury. Jonah and wanted left tackle money and I honestly can’t say what would have happened if we kept him. Riley Reif(until he got hurt), Cappa (until he got hurt), La’el Collins until he got hurt (started gelling towards the end of that season), Karras and OBJ(Hasnt been great as of late) were all decent pickups(Not talking about this year, no one looks good this year). Trent Brown, Cody Ford, and countless forgettable college FA/emergency depth pickups didn’t really pan out from FA.
Where they haven’t had success was the Draft. 2nd rd Jackson Carman(Wiff), 4th rd D’Ante Smith(Wiff) 6th rd Adeniji(Wiff), 1st Rd Mimms(Still has time to turn it around), 6th rd Trey Hill (Wiff), 4th rd Volson (Had a few good games but Wiff). They really screwed up in 23 not drafting a single OL and 24 for only getting Mimms. Still too early to tell on Fairchild.
They really need a scout that is good at scouting Dlinemen, bc they’ve spent premium picks there and they’ve missed so many times. They also need another scout that can do the same with offensive lineman, prolly even more bc in the Zac/Burrow era they’ve only spent a single 1, a single 2 and a single 3 on a olineman. That isn’t enough top picks when we’ve had such terrible lines
Paid two wide receivers when should have only paid one… also paid late vs early.
