Our baby boys are all grown up. Where did the time go?
Per HSJ: Detroit Red Wings done rotating A’s. “We’re an Original Six team” says Todd McLellan.

The young core is really coming together. Makes my centennial jersey decision harder because I love those letters and was going to use it in my final decision…between these two.

Larkin and select few older players will fill roles as veteran leaders, but the core of the team starts with Seider and Raymond. How good our core is will determine how far we go.
The day many of us have been waiting for is here. Larkin, Raymond, and Seider wearing letters with a proper youth infusion.

This makes me happier than it should. In reality it doesn’t matter THAT much, but it’s a real show of “hey, you are the guys for the future” and I love that.
I noticed they wore them all pre season

Yzerman’s build through the draft team has landed in time for the centennial. This is a very exciting season already, and we’ll have a legendary jersey retirement midway through the season.
This past offseason I said I would have been fine with Chiarot/Seider and Copp/Raymond rotating letters for home and away games. Realistically, Seider and Raymond were always going to get the letters, so Todd just just cut through the BS and decided to get there quicker. Good for them.
Wonder if the team store will send us “A” patches to have sewn on for those of us that ordered the centennial sweaters early
Who is selling the leather “A” patches? I need one for my Seider Centennial jersey.
Can we all just take a step back and appreciate what an amazing hire Todd McLellan has been for this team?
Not only did he light a fucking fire under these guys and salvage what had become a completely wasted season, but he’s actually given this team something it’s been missing for the better part of 10 years; an identity.
Like, for the first time in a long time, I actually feel like I know who this team *is.* And, I think we have Todd to thank for that.
