This is the first year I’ve come to a new realization that no matter how much I want to switch off an infuriating playoff game and destroy the radio, I feel that I “owe it” to Pat and Ron and listen to their broadcast anyway. I’m glad I’m getting the bad news from them.
I’m glad we had a scrappy playoff appearance but we ain’t winning. If we do the Brewers take us. They just play better ball. They’re more disciplined, they pitch better and make smarter plays.
The cubs were never going to take the world series and that’s okay. I’m glad we got a win in the post season and it makes me hopeful for next season.
I will say. Them coming back from this would be my WS for this year.
How it would happen : Tallion tomorrow needs to be ace stuff + offense needs to light up the rookie who they have success vs. Then Boyd game 4 + Bullpen. Then back in Mlk with opener + Shota + Rea + Pen.
I’ll watch, but at this age I only have room for one soul crushing disappointment of a team and the Bears have a stranglehold on it.

Im pretty much a doomer atp but a good way to keep yourself going is to remember that you cant have a comeback without going down a couple games
