Some rivalries hit different

  1. Yeah well, if you had the Cowboys and the Eagles in your division you’d be haters too.

  2. The top teams are all 60+ years old and the bottom teams have only been in the same division since 2002

  3. We’re that group of kids in the corner eating crayons in Kindergarten and the rest of the class is judging us, but we openly beef with one another during recess.

My favorite crayon is Atomic Tangerine btw

  4. I feel like the only team other afc south teams would actually hate are the colts, and it’s been a while since they’ve been actually relevant

  5. The difference between every team having two super bowls in one division vs your division having two total.

In all likelihood it’s due to the NFC East being filled with teams that have hated each other for 70+ years while the AFC south is either newer teams or transplants from another city. Hard to have deep rivalries if your team is 30 years old or you keep moving to different states.

  6. As an NFC Norther, I wish there was more intradivision excitement and camaraderie. We’ve got three great teams, and I love cheering for the Lions and the Vikings. Seeing them do well is like seeing your younger brothers getting their first girlfriends. I’m pumped for them. Three great teams in the division; it’s so much fun!

  7. Yes. Dallas sucks and F Philly. Giants are generally harmless, but win enough to be pests…

  8. I genuinely despise the idea of geographic divisions because it would just never be the same

I guess the rest of y’all can have them as long as the NFCE is left alone

  9. This is what decades of consistent rivalries in a division & success at different points for each team does & honestly between us & Philly I’d be shocked if this wasn’t the most toxic division in the NFL.

  10. Yea man it gets pretty tense in the North. Sometimes a leisurely stroll through Shit Mountain can lighten your mood.
