  1. I don’t care about having big names on the coaching staff or in player development. I want people who are good at their jobs.

  2. From that list, only people with actual coaching experience would intrigue me. Really not interested in pure nostalgia picks (I love Javi, but really?!?).

  3. The romantic in me loves the idea of belt and panda and crawfish back, but that would really be more of the same. The talent is there, especially if Buster goes pitching shopping this winter, it’s a new energy and approach that’s needed. Which is why I think we get Hundley to manage. It’s kinda a little of both.

  4. A coach that can get the most out of the players, who’s awake to make pitching changes before they run the game into the ground.

A hitting coach that shows our park can be used to bleed other pitchers to death, but also that contact isn’t a bad thing.

A third base coach who knows situational awareness about when to hold, and when to send runners.

    So really. Just competency.

  5. Man I kind of hate this. I have a hard time believing that coincidentally the very best people qualified to coach the Giants also all just happened to play for the Giants

  6. None of them. They can be roving coaches or advisors but none of them should be on the full time coaching staff

  7. Hunter Pence gave a speech in game 3 of the postseason and the baseball gods smiled at us the rest of the way.
