NHL SEASON PREVIEW
We finally made it. The NHL season is tomorrow. Let’s go over every single NHL team, what they did this off seasonason, and at the end, my playoff predictions. Please leave a like and subscribe if you guys are brand new. The Anaheim Ducks hire former Chicago Blackhawks head coach Joel Quenville, traded away Trevor Ziggress, a guy they drafted and developed, added a veteran like Chris Krider, more of a veteran team. They’re still relying on a lot of their young defenseman. They have a really good top nine in my opinion. Their defense core is where it gets a little shaky for me. They they need their younger defenseman like Lome who just signed a huge deal. And in net, Lucas Doall, another young player who’s going to have to carry this Ducks team if they’re going to want to succeed this upcoming season. Over to the Boston Bruins, who missed the playoffs for the first time in a while last season. They added a couple guys. They bringing back Shan Carali, hired Marcos Thur, who’s a former player of theirs. They’ve announced that they’re going to retire Zado’s 33 this upcoming January. They actually just announced that today. A lot of good events this upcoming season around the league, including the stadium series for the Boston Bruins. They’ll be taking on the Tampa Bay Lightning. A lot of teams are going to have a lot of events this year and a lot of things going around their team, celebrating their team. It’s going to be such an exciting hockey season. This is what the Bruins look like. They’re going to be starting the season with uh a little younger like I mentioned, especially on the bottom six there. Poshak is still going to be their guy, their highest offensive threat, and they’re getting a little healthier, right? Because these guys down here, Charlie Makavoy and Hampus Lynholm, missed majority of the year last year due to injuries. They’re going to be want to be primed and ready to go. The Olympics are in February. Let’s not forget those guys are going to want to be ready to go then. In goal for the Bruins is going to be Swayman and Corposal. An interesting team for me, the Buffalo Sabres, who could potentially make the playoffs this season. They traded away one of their young forwards, scoring threats if you will, JJ Purka for a guy who hasn’t established himself as an offensive threat in Josh Don, but a very good defenseman in Michael Kessle ring. This team could very well give any other team a run for their money in the Atlantic division. Their bottom six is a little, you know, not the best, but top six, the scoring is there. Taage Thompson will be their leading guy. No doubt in my mind. their defense core down here led by Rasmus Dalene Owen Power Bowen Byum. So, not only is Kessle ring missing open tonight for Buffalo, but also most likely, yeah, look at these guys. Look at this. What’s down here? Luka Pekka and also there’s a lot of guys who are going to miss the start of the season for the Sabres. I didn’t even notice that, but that’s unfortunate for them. Three teams are celebrating their 100th season. The Chicago Blackhawks are one of them. They hire Jeff Blold. Blackhawks need to take another step in their development. If they’re bad, all right, but they can’t be this bad. They added Andre Burkovski, Sam Laferdy. Top six looks really good for Chicago in my opinion. Connor number one center, Frank Nazar number two center. Two young centers who are trying to learn the NHL surrounded by some okay veterans. Bottom six is where it gets a little wonky. You got some good veterans down there, but also some younger guys trying to make some impressions on this team. The defense core all messy for the Chicago Blackhawks. I don’t like any bit of it. Alex Vic to me is not the greatest number one defenseman, but they’re going to rock with him. Fencer Knight and Narvid Solder Bloom are projected to be the goalending duo to start the season for the Blackhawks. The Carolina Hurricanes once again will be a threat in the Metropolitan Division. They went out and finally got a big fish. They signed Nikolai Eers. Hurricanes didn’t make too many changes. I mean, they don’t ever have to really, right? They’re a good team, but they just can’t get it done in the postseason. They added a couple of guys who could potentially get it done in the postseason. We know Nikolai Eers is a postseason player. He’s kind of a guy to me who really fits this team. I just have to see it on the ice now. The defense core. Yeah, if Keandre Miller clicks, oh my goodness, this Carolina Hurricanes team, if they get the most out of him, trust me, as a Rangers fan, I know KAJ Miller at his best is an excellent defenseman. Freddy Anderson and Porto are projected to start the season for Carolina. Onto a team that’s celebrating their 25th season, the Columbus Blue Jackets. They signed Isaac Lundersmrom. They traded for Charlie Coyle and Miles Wood as well. I think their number one guy this year will be Adam Fantelli. I think he’s ready to take that next step. I want to see Isaac Lundersmrom get an elevated role this year. This Columbus Blue Jackets team, just like the Buffalo Sabres, can compete with any team in their division. You got Provo and Seerson, Matuck, and Gabbransson. So, I mean, listen, there’s different combinations you can go with the Columbus Blue Jackets this season. They’re going to want to see Jack Greavves get a shot, right? The Calgary Flames did not do a single thing. Um, other than a bunch of resigns, they have a very good forward core. I like their forward core a lot. It’s young. I like guys like Coronado Zari. I like Ryan Lombberg on that fourth line. Even a guy like Jagger Sharon Govich like I think he’s really effective in that kind of a system. That Pacific division is going to be fun to watch this season. This is what their defense core is looking like. Hanley Weaguer and you know is Rasmus Anderson going to stay right. We all know that that was all speculated last year. Zayn Perk I’m going to make most likely I’m going to make a rookies video but Zane Berk he’s he’s going to be one of the best defenseman in the league. that the best way to put it ending goal for the Calgary Flames will be Dustin Wolf signs a very long extension. Another young guy who signed a really long contract. If you didn’t watch that video about how the NHL is giving out crazy contracts right now. Go watch it. And Devin Kulie will be backing up. Colorado Avalanche are looking to get back to that 2022 playoff success. They added a guy in Bren Burns. They added Victor Olivesson. It’s their 30th season this year. So, a little festivities from them. This is what their forward group is right now to start the season. We saw them make a huge trade last year. Miko Ranton didn’t trade it away. We’ll see if Martine Nes ends up with Colorado Avalanche by the end of the season, but Gabe Landiskog was able to come back last season during the playoffs. It was awesome to see him come back. Avalanche making some changes. It’s all led through Kale Mar, man. The best defenseman in the NHL, hands down. He to watch him play is just something special. He He’s his own position. And like I mentioned, they added a guy like Bren Burns, man. He’s looking for a Stanley Cup. He’s hungry, man. He’ll play third third defense pair with Sam Malinsky. Like, it’s He’s fine. In goal, obviously, you’re going to have McKenzie Blackwood and Scott Wedgewood. That’s kind of where you fall off for me there. But it’s a long season. There’s a lot of additions to teams. We’ll see what happens. I called when Pete D’Vor yanked Jake Goter in that game in the playoffs that he lost his job. Glenn Golitin hired for the Dallas Stars. He is their new head coach. Going to try to find the formula to finally push Dallas across the finish line. They traded away Matt Dumba and Mason Marchman. Marchman’s a guy for me who who’s a good playoff performer in the right setting. Wasn’t getting it done for Dallas, so they shipped him off. Jamie Ben is starting the season injured, but listen, this is a very good Dallas Stars team from top to bottom. Still got the depth, right? Essendell, Miro Hkin, and Thomas Harley. I mean, these are guys who can be number one defenseman in any other system in the NHL. The Dallas Stars need to start winning. Ending goal, you’re going to obviously have Jay Ginger and Casey De Smith. Jay Ginger is one of the best goalenders in the NHL. A huge reason for the Dallas Stars success. The Detroit Red Wings celebrating their 100th season. Also retiring Sergey Federov’s 91 this year. They traded away Vladimir Terasenko. And they’re acquiring John Gibson, a guy who’s proven it in the NHL, a number one goalender. The Red Wings are a weird team for me. I I’ve never really loved the Yer plan. This is their defense core. Sherro Cider. Cider obviously a really good defenseman but is he like the guy like is like is he the Macar is he the Hughes and obviously like I mentioned in the trade it’s John Gibson and Cam Talbot will be backing up the Edmonton Oilers back-to-back Stanley Cups finals back-to-back Stanley Cup finals losses they acquire rookie Isaac Howard already sent him down so potentially we’ll see him in the future but not making the opening night roster they added guys like Andrew Majapani Curtis Lazar smaller quicker tougher guys you know not not the biggest guys, but they still play a tougher game. They traded away two similar guys who kind of play similar style, but more bigger in stature and Kane and Arvinson. So, obviously, you’ve got Conor McDavid, the best player in the world. Leon Dry Saddle, yeah, Trent Frederick’s actually been playing with McDavid. It’s very difficult to go to three straight Stanley Cup finals. At home, obviously their number one defenseman is Evan Buchard. Uh Darnell Nurse, Regula, Kulak, Ty Emerson, former Ranger. And in goal is going to be Steuart Skinner and Calvin Peard. But Connor Ingram was traded to Edmonton a couple weeks ago. So listen, Edmonton is going to be a fun team to watch this season. Let’s just put it that way. And this is a team who could potentially win three straight cups. It’s the Florida Panthers. They will be without Alexander Barkov the whole season. unfortunately got hurt in practice three weeks ago, had complete knee surgery. They’ll also be without Matthew Kachchuck until at least January. Panthers are gonna have challenges. They’re going to have challenges to start the season. They added Jeff Petri, Jack Studenika, Thomas Nosac, Luke Cunnan. They traded away Justin Sordf who didn’t really get a shot in Florida. He’ll most likely get a shot in Washington. Will be exciting to see that. Terasov and Busy signed for goalending depth. Busy already got claimed by Carolina Hurricanes. So yeah, listen, Florida’s going to be the team that every single team is gunning for, plain and simple. As you can see here, they still have the depth, right? They they’re still a very deep team. Their defense core, like it’s still very good. It’s Gustaf Forzing, Aaron Eklad, Niko Mikolo, Seth Jones, Dumiji Kulov, and Jeff Petri brought in. Listen, this is it when right. This is one of the best defense cores in the NHL, and they’ve showed it under Paul Maurice. This team is so good. Obviously, you got Babski and backing him up right now is the Neil Taros. There are teams I like this year and there are teams I don’t like. The Kings, I don’t like them. I think they’re gonna have a very big setback this year. New GM Ken Holland. He added Joel Arma, Cory Perry, Brian Dumlin, and Cody Cece. I I mean, maybe maybe 10 years ago that would have been good. Maybe. But right now for the LA Kings and Andre Kulpitar saw that he was like, “Yeah, I’m getting the hell out of here.” Looking at their forward core, it’s it’s not bad, right? If the big guns get it done, Kopitar can do what he’s been doing all these years. Their defense court, it’s okay. Again, Dowy getting up there in age. Can he do it for as long as he’s been doing it effectively? Mikey Anderson’s with him. They brought in Brian Dumlan. Brent Clark is taking that next step, hence the Jordan Spence trade. But Joel Edmonson and Cody Cece, all right, celebrating their 25th season, the Minnesota Wild extend Carill Capri off to the biggest contract in NHL history. They also did some more offseason work. Added a guy like Tyler Pitlick, Nick Obeel, couple former Rangers, traded away Freddy Gudro. They acquire a guy who used to kill them in that division. Vladimir Terasenko. So listen, I like the Wild this year, but these are the projected lines for the Wild to start the season and I like them. Without Zukarelloo there, it looks a little weak on that left or right side, right? If you look at it either way, but this is still a very good team. I mentioned Zayn Perk earlier, but a guy like Z Boy for me is really exciting, too. And obviously a guy like Brock Faber, man, we saw what he could do over the last couple seasons. He needs to take the next step for me. In goal for them, no longer Mark Andre Flurry, Philip Gustoson now the guaranteed number one goalie. We have got no doubt about that. But Desper Walstead is a very good goalender as well. We’ll see if he at some point could potentially give Gustin a run for his money. The Montreal Canadians were very active this off seasonason. Traded for Zack Boluk, traded for Noah Dobson, traded away Logan Mox, Kaden Primu, and Emil Heinman. They made the playoffs last year, got knocked out against the Capitals, but this is a team who could potentially make the playoffs again this year. It’s a very competitive Atlantic division, but it’s going to be a wide openen division. Lane Hudson is one of the best defenseman in the NHL, one of the best offensive defenseman in the NHL. This is where the Montreal Canadiens could fall off a bit on the defense court. Lane Hudson, great number one defenseman. Is Is Noah Dobson really the guy for the Montreal Canadians? I’m questioning that move a little bit. In goal, you’re gonna have Sam Montbo and Jacob Dovich. I like Montbo, especially in Montreal. I think he thrives in that environment. The Nashville Predators, who had a very bad season last year, selected fifth overall and signed their fifth overall pick, Brady Martin, who was very high on my list. I was very happy he went fifth overall. They acquired Eric Hall. They’ll play in Sweden, which is very exciting for a guy like Philip Forsber against the Pittsburgh Penguins on the 14th of November. We’ll see if Brady Martin gets topline minutes for Nashville. But, you know, this is an okay team. You got a guy like Luke Evangelista who was able to avoid whatever debacle that almost became, but he’s a guy like to to really step up. A guy like Brady Martin also. We’ll see. We’ll see what happens. Um, on the defense court, you know, it’s not the greatest either. It’s not the toughest. Brady Shay, Roman Yosi, still got Use Sorrowos in that. Uh, followed by Anunan. The Devils add some depth. They add Connor Brown, Cody Glass, Evan Donov, they traded away Eric Hall to Nashville. They’re going to still be a very good team in my opinion. I still have them making the playoffs this year. Spoiler alert. Donov on that first line, when he’s going, he’s going, right? We’ve seen that in Dallas. And a guy like Gritzuk on that fourth line, he had a really good preseason. So, you know, guys like that come up and they just want to make impacts on teams who are trying to look for guys like that, right? Paul Carter to me also, by the way, a really good deaf player. They got him last year. The defense core for the Devils is looking good. I mean, what Peshy, I don’t know if he’s going to be healthy or not. I mean, who knows? But when when this defense core is healthy and Luke Hughes resigns, this is one of the better defense cores in the league. Their goalending is is is always the question. I mean, ever since Marty, right, Jacob Marstrom, I mean, he’s getting up there in age. Jake Allen is a really good backup. He’s not a number one goalie. Hasn’t been since St. Louis. Jacob Marshm still a capable goalie to bring the Devils to the playoffs and and through the playoffs. Jack Hughes doesn’t want to just chill in Jersey. He wants to win a Stanley Cup. Devils really need to take this next step. They really need to take this next step. They got to get out of round two. They got to get to the conference finals. New general manager for the New York Islanders. He came in, got the first overall pick. Matthew Schaefer will be playing Thursday. They added a guy like Jonathan Joanne Bear Riddic. And obviously the big tradeway, right? They traded away Noah Dobson to the Montreal Canadians. They acquired Emil Heinman in that. No All-Star game at UBS Arena this year because of the Olympics. Projected opening night lineup for the New York Islanders. Listen, there’s some really good names on this team. Names that, you know, got this team to where they needed to get to five, six years ago. The defense core to me, yeah, honestly, my favorite defenseman on this defense court is Matthew Schaefer. So, but for right now, it’s going to be a slow process for the Islanders, Sroken, and Ridditch. The New York Rangers, a team we are all familiar with, right? They hire Mike Sullivan, who’s done it twice, traded away Chris Krider, traded away Keandre Miller, brought in Vlatislav Gaov, that was their big fish this free agency. He’ll be paired with Adam Fox and hopefully that is going to be a pair that threatens teams. The Rangers are in their 100th season. They’ll be having a lot of festivities. They’ll have a Winter Classic. They’ll be in Florida, which will be fun. Here’s your projected forward score for the New York Rangers to start the season. Most likely Noah Laba. I mean, I I know this because I’m very glued to the Rangers, but most likely Noah Laba hopefully will get the start tomorrow night, but this is a team where if you look at that bottom six, it’s not great. I just don’t know if the Rangers will be able to score enough goals like or just plain and simple. They won’t be able to play enough good hockey. More about the Rangers soon. I promise. But this is their defense core, right? Vlatisov, Gabricov, thank god they got him, man. Look at that left side. Susi and Vak and I didn’t like Again, more about the Rangers later, but this is their preview. And in goal, obviously, you got Eager Shuriken and backing up is Jonathan Quick. Yeah, the Rangers to me. We’ll talk about them more later, but but yeah, they’re a team that’s going to scare me. The Ottawa Senators, a team I like, a team I really like coming into this season. They made the playoffs last year, lost in the Battle of Ontario, traded for Jordan Spence, who I really like, was very high on added Lars Eller, a veteran, an established veteran. Arter Cali have already got waved. But these are the projected lines for the Senators and and I like them this year. I do, especially with all these younger players just getting that year of experience, right? Brady Kachchuck, Tim Snuts, Jake Sanderson, man, he’s their number one defenseman. He’s an excellent defenseman. Can he now take that next step to propel them through the playoffs? Ending goal, obviously, you’re going to have Lionus Mark and Levi Merlain. The Philadelphia Flyers who fire John Tordella, hire Rick Tocket, they added Christian D’vor, and traded for Trevor Ziggress. Flyers will be a different team this year, I think, than in the years past. I think we’ll see a lot more offensive plays, a lot more offensive explosions from them, a lot more pretty plays from the Flyers, but I’m not too sure how good they’re going to be. Snick Sealer, Jamie Dry. And in goal for the Philadelphia Flyers to start the season is Sam Harrison and Dan Vladar. The Pittsburgh Penguins missed the playoffs once again last season. They fire Mike Sullivan. Mutually parted ways. They bring in former Ranger assistant coach Dan Muse who I was very high on. Added Justin Brazo, Anthony Mantha, Parker Wtherspoon. Pittsburgh to me it’s just very weak on the bottom six. Not a lot of guys who are going to be able to get it done for the Penguins. Even the guys who are playing with Crosby and Malin is just I think there are brighter days for the Penguins. I don’t know how soon they are, but I think there definitely will be brighter days for Pittsburgh. We’re going to start seeing farewell tours for some of these guys, right? So, it’s going to be sad to see Crosby Mulin Sid retire. I said Sid twice, whatever. It’s going to be crazy. The Seattle Kraken, a little bit of a change. Jason Ball coming in as a general manager and Lane Lambert coming in as a head coach. They added Ryan Lingren and traded for Mason Marchman. They traded away Alexander Burikovski and brought in Joe Baleno. This is what they’re projected to start the season with. Not high on Seattle that much. I was actually really high on them their first couple seasons, but yeah, the last couple just haven’t been the greatest for me. Kapo Kako is supposed to be on this team also, but starting the season with the wrist injury. Their defense core, Vince Dunn, Adam Larson. Yeah, I mean that gets done. Alexak and Mora and Lingren and Flurry. Lingren being added to this defense core really saves them a bit. You know, Ryan Lingren as a range fan, obviously I know he’s a very good steady defenseman when he is steady. So, if he can be the old Ryan Lingren to any capacity for Seattle, it’ll really help them out. And in goal is where I kind of like like them the most. Joey Dord finally established now as a number one goalender in this N in the NHL. And Philip Grubower backing up. Very excited for the San Jose Sharks this year. Mlin Celery, Will Smith, Michael Misa. They added Jeff Skinner, Philip Kerschef, and Ryan Reeves. I really like what San Jose did this off seasonason. They added Dimmitri Orof, Nick Ley, John Clinberg. A lot of these guys they needed to sign because they needed to reach a certain minimum of money and contracts and and eligible players to play. I don’t know how similar this team is going to look at the end of this season. But Mlin Celibbrini is their number one center. He He’s so fun to watch. I mean, Michael Nissa, if he could if he’s going to come in as second line center, he’s going to get a lot of opportunities to put up some points. the defense core for the San Jose Sharks. Nothing to ride home about, but you know, again, it’s most likely not going to be like this by the end of the season. They’ll most likely be turning a page. They’re allowed one more year in a rebuild in my opinion. Like Chicago, they got to get on the ball quicker because I’m seeing the success out of San Jose’s younger players. I’m seeing CBrine win games for San Jose. I’m not seeing Bedsy do that. I’m not seeing Frank Nazar do that effectively at the NHL level yet. And goal for the San Jose Sharks, Yaras Slavascarov, and Alistelovich. The St. Lose blue didn’t do too much. They added Nick Buchad, added Pew Sudter, traded away Zack Boluke for Logan Malak. They’re still a very good team. I think they can potentially make the playoffs this year. The defense score for them is is very good. I mean, I like Mox on the back end. I think he can potentially be a top four defenseman in this league. In net for the St. Louis Blues is Jordan Benninsson still and Joel Holford. The Tampa Bay Lightning added Jacob Pelchier already waved him. Pontis Holberg didn’t do too much. They’re going to be playing the Boston Bruins like I mentioned earlier in the stadium series in Tampa Bay which is going to be exciting. They traded away Isaac Howard, but we know what you’re getting with the Lightning, right? I mean, Nikita Kudra, Braden Point, Jen Gensel. I mean, you know what you’re getting with these guys. The top six is excellent. The bottom six, we’ll see what happens. I don’t know if that bottom six could potentially propel you through a playoff series, but definitely make the playoffs. The defense core, Victor Hedman, that means he’s getting up there in age, right? Drafted in 2009, right? So he’s already in his 17th NHL season almost and Mcdana is getting up there in age as well. So how long can the Lightning be effective in the playoffs is kind of my question in net. Andre Vasilleski obviously and Yonas Johansson will be the goalender backing up the Toronto Maple Leafs who went through a big move last year traded away Mitch Mner for Nick Wah added Michael Bazetta and Dakota Joshua. I know the direction they’re going. I understand it makes sense on paper, but to get rid of Mitch Marner, who could potentially put you up 100 points every single season for Nick Wah, you’re basically trying to supplement just the type of effectiveness they can get you in the playoffs. Sure. I think it’s going to be a big loss. I I don’t know if Toronto will be able to score as effectively. Matthews could score. William Eander score could score. Both two elite players in the league. I look at this list, nobody else is going to do what they do. And in goal, Anthony Solars. I mean, is he really a number one goalender? Again, to propel you through the playoffs, and you need to be able to stand out. You have to have guys that stand out. Is Anthony Stler as a guy that stands out? The Utah Mammoth traded away Josh Don and Michael Kessler. They acquired JJ Purka. They added Nate Schmidt and Brandon Taniff. This is their first season as a Utah Mammoth. Very excited for them. One of my favorite players in this league is Dylan Gunther. I think he’s going to be a potential 50 goal guy. JJ Purka fits on this team. He this team needed a guy like Purka. I think he comes in and provides something that they really needed. Heard something today that Logan Kohley apparently rejected an extension in Utah. We’ll see. We’ll see what simmers out of that over the next couple months. The defense core to me is is is here or there. You know, Nate Schmidt I think was a again a very big ad for them. This is one of the better Utah defense cores we’ve seen and including Arizona. Carell Vala and VTC Vanichek will be the goalenders this season. Vila is a very good goalender. the Vancouver Conucks who last year they didn’t make the playoffs fired Rick Tocket hired Adam Foot traded away CEOs and Dakota Joshua traded for Evander Kane signed their 15th overall pick Braden Coots and I also wrote down that they also signed their 47th overall pick Alexi Medvidev a goalender a big resign for them was Brock Ber he’s still their number one right winger right Philip Pedle when healthy he can easily be a number two center in this league he’s just got to be healthy right obviously who got the number one defenseman or number one defenseman in this league, Quinn Hughes. He’ll be most likely again playing with Philip Heronic. The defense score is good. The defense score is good. Victor Mancini apparently got waved again, so I don’t even think he’ll be on the opening night roster unless he’s coming back up before then. One of my favorite goalies in the league, That Demco. Kevin Lankin and will back up. Demco went healthy is one of the best goalenders in this league. I think the Devils should do what they did 15 years ago and call they called the wrong team. They called Calgary about Marsham instead of calling Vancouver about Demco. The Vegas Golden Knights looking to replicate what they did in 2023. They traded away Nick Hey for Lozant and Siz. And obviously their big fish was Mitch Mner. He fits right on this team. I I didn’t think they needed a guy like Mner, but he fits on this team. Imagine him and I playing together. Like I I think them two together can be some of the most musty hockey we’ve seen in a very long time. The defense core is a little okay. You know, I I just hasn’t been able to get it done in the past, right? They got rid of Nick Hey. They’re bringing in a guy like Lozanne who’s a little more stable in a third pairing role. I don’t know. We’ll see. We’ll see. In goal for them is going to be Aiden Hill obviously with Akira backing up. Golden Knights playing in a division where they’re going to make the playoffs, right? Can they get through it? The Capitals the best season in the NHL last year. Uh didn’t do too much. They acquired Justin Sordf who’s going to get an opportunity hopefully to play in the NHL. But yeah, after last year they got to try to replicate the the magic, right? You know, they were chasing Obie’s goal record. They helped him get it. But yeah, now this team needs to to do it in the playoffs. Ryan Leonard gonna get an elevated role. No doubt. Because I’m sure Obie wants another cup, man. I’m sure he doesn’t want to go out just with a goal record in and one cup. Who wants to win another cup? Logan Thompson and Charlie Lingren. Uh the goending duo to start the season. Not too sure if one of them will be the starter over the other. We finally made it. The Winnipeg Jets. The final team we’re going to be talking about. They’re celebrating their 15th year of relocation from Atlanta. They added Jonathan Taes, a Manitoba boy. They added Gus Nyquis and Tanner Pearson. They were one of the better teams in the Western Conference last year, but again, you know, they just fell apart in the playoffs. So, they trying to guys who who could potentially get it done in the playoffs. Guys who won Stanley Cups in Pearson and Tae. So, this is what they’re projected to look like. They lost Nick Eers, right? So, that’s some scoring on the wing. If that second line is actually a second line, I just don’t know how much scoring you’re going to get. Is Jonathan Taz I mean he hasn’t played in three years. Is he gonna be able to play second line center in today’s NHL? I just don’t know. But we’ll see. We’ll see how that develops. Obviously the defense core is is really good in Winnipeg led by Morsy, Dlo, Pian, Flurry. The defense core is good and obviously in that the MVP last year, Connor Halipc right this is the confirmed my playoff prediction plain and simple how I’m going to put it. There are three teams in each division that in the playoffs I have guarantee making. I have the Caps, Hurricanes, Devils, Stars, Avalanche Wild, Senators, Panthers. I forgot to add another team. Let’s add it right now. It’s Toronto. I wanted to put Toronto back over in the other side. Um, so Toronto, yeah, I I there’s no doubt they’re going to have trouble making the playoffs. I think Tampa might have trouble making the playoffs. That’s kind of my thing in the middle here. And Montreal, like I know they made the playoffs last year, but I I like again it’s just it’s a maybe for me. It’s a maybe. The misses to me. Yeah. Like a couple teams here that might be surprised like LA, the Rangers. I just don’t see those two teams having the the depth enough to really propel them even to make the playoffs. I can’t believe I’m saying that as a Rangers fan, man. But I’m seriously like, you look at that bottom six for the Rangers. Like, they stink. All right. Anyway, I appreciate every single one of you guys watching. Please leave a like if you guys did enjoy this video. Tomorrow’s opening night. I am so excited. We’ll be covering it all here. Obviously, we’ll be doing the Rangers and Penguins at 8 o’clock. Um, yeah, we’re not too sure what we’re doing for the Yankees tomorrow. I think I’m leaning towards doing the Rangers. So yeah, hopefully the Yankees can force a game four so we could do another video.
LETS GOOOO WE MADE IT! Welcome to my NHL season preview. I am beyond excited for this upcoming hockey season. A bunch of fun stuff going on including a bunch of outdoor games, team celebrations and the NHL;s return to the Olympic games in February.
