Not dooming yet, but I feel like Jim Hiller has to have a short leash if things aren’t looking good early this season.
More of a first line matchup type of game with the Avalanche. How many minutes did the Avs play their fourth line?
Not sure any coach in the league would keep their fourth line out if the Avs shorten their bench and roll straight from 3rd to 1st lines. More of a contain matchup I think
I’m not here to defend Hiller’s coaching, but there were also 6 PKs
Turcotte deserves more time
There were 6 penalties and 4 power plays. Turcotte and Malott don’t play special teams and malott was in the box for 5 minutes. Did you even watch the game?.
I don’t have much faith in Hiller, but there were a lot of penalties last night. 4th line guys usually don’t see a lot of ice time when you have to play your special teams all game.
