Kobe Believed He Could’ve Played In His 40’s 😱

So, Michael Jordan played when he was 40. Kareem Abdul Jabar played when he was 40. Vince Carter is out there playing when he’s 42. Do you guys think maybe I could still go back out there and do it? No. I I I played one pickup game to hurt him, though. I mean, I you know, if I wanted to, I could. I don’t want to. You’re sure? I’m sure. The love is gone. If I wanted to, I could. You know, you you you diet, you know, you got to really, you know, really obsess about it. You you can do it with the technology, nutrition, studies, all the things that you have now. You can certainly do it. I just don’t want to. I mean, Vince is out there windmilling, man. It’s like I think he should enter the dunk contest, man. Come on. Don’t get on Don’t get on there with her, bro. Seriously.

  1. Kob was great. But no, he couldn't. Revisionist history would have us forget his last season. I believe he believes he could. But his body has given everything, we all saw that

  2. Yooooo WtF 😳! Kobe Dropped 60 on his Last Game.. Give Him a Decent Team and That MTF Winning.. Stop Acting Like We Didn’t See Kobe Go Off Sometimes in His Last Season. Give Him Pieces Like LeBron, Maaan Kobe is Winning a Ring.. A.D, Kyrie it Don’t Matter give Him One Player Bet That MTF Winning..
Say I’m Lying 🤥…. No Kobe Fan just a Basketball Fan.

  3. People really don’t understand that what LeBron is doing right now it’s almost like a miracle and not even steroid can do that it’s also the mental part of continuing at the high level where even the Black Mamba older age cannot thrive

  4. Kobe. His last NBA game, he dropped 60 points. Can't go out much better than that as a: "I could still do this, but time to move on."

  5. Bro, this is bullshit and everybody knew it. Specially Kobe. He was a liability for the Lakers during his final three years. His body was in shambles already because of injuries. He could've kept playing, but as a bench player maybe, or part of the starting five, hurting his team.
Some few could play at 50 and beyond. Who could play as a Superstar after 40?
    LeBron James.
    Kareem maybe.

  6. If Kobe was still good enough at 40 to be a star in the league (i.e. Duncan, Kareem, LeBron) he’d definitely want to. But he wasn’t at that level anymore, and it’s not really worth being a roleplayer after all those years being among the best in the league.

  7. Kobe had a tough final year. His final game was awesome, but that final year… he was obsessed with the game, but I don't think he would've accepted a bench role while averaging 9 points and being a hole on defense. That interview was 3 YEARS after Kobe retired.

To be honest I don't even think he could've played no more at that level

  8. He could’ve played in his 40s averaging 16PPG with 28% FG. Kobe was made fun of on 2k16 as being a Kobe Bryant action figure left in the sauna for too long. He was one of the very worst players in the entire league the year he retired.

  9. LeBron being this old and never having any super major injuries is why he’s still out there

Just one big injury can set you back and make it difficult

  10. I seen another interview he said he def couldn't went out there an avg like 10-15. But he didn't wanna put in the work it would take with his body breaking and the time it would take. To not be himself

  11. Before Vince retired that last season he should’ve did the dunk contest for the hell of it like that was his nba championship would’ve been electric not saying he would’ve won but it would’ve been amazing to watch
