Devin Vassell confirmed his plans to play for the Jamaican National Team. πŸ‡―πŸ‡² He’s recruiting other NBA players to join him, including teammate Julian Champagnie. The 2028 Olympics are “the ultimate goal.”

  1. Good move. No offense to him, but with the international threat rising, he was unlikely to ever play for the US like Keldon did a few years back (and even then, it was mostly thanks to Pop).

  2. Good for him. It’s also hard to criticize after seeing Embiid “choose” between the USA, France and Cameroon

  3. This will be a lot of fun. The more international teams I have an excuse to watch the better.

  4. This is dope! Competing in international games can massively improve his performance.

  5. Stay healthy Devin. As a guy that hasn’t played in the offseasons and struggles to stay healthy I can’t say I love to see this. But respect him wanting to be an Olympian and represent a country his family has roots in.

  6. They might actually be pretty good. If everyone who could, does they would get a team that’s like Thompson Twins, Vassel, Scottie Barnes, Isaiah Stewart and Norman Powell. A lot of wings and light at point and center though.

  7. Super cool. Always happy to have extra teams to root for on the international stage. I was watching EuroBasket rooting for Georgia etc. Would’ve rooted hard for Poland if Sochan was playing, France of course if Wemby had played etc.

  8. I know it’s fashionable of late to rag on Devin, but my god am I excited about the prospect of him becoming the player we drafted
