Jets’ Breece Hall trade rumors are heating up amid team’s 0-5 start

  1. Jets trade: Breece hall, woody Johnson, 2 firsts
    Patriots trade: nothing

    Make it happen FO

  2. We’re wasting his prime. That’s the sad truth. He’s a rb by the time this rebuild comes through he’s on his last contract

  3. With the Allen injury from stupidly using him on kickoffs, trading Breece would be waiving the white flag. It also makes the most sense if someone gives you a 3 or something. If you’re Breece, you want to go to a contender. The Jets aren’t resigning you. And with Allen’s injury, who knows if he’ll be the same back in 3 months. Fun times.

  4. This would be heartbreaking. I know this guy can be a top-3 RB with an actual NFL level football team. The vibes are in the pits of hell.

  5. I would trade Breece if Allen was healthy. No way you can trade him now right? Teams know we’re desperate to get value.

I thought we could trade him for a third, not sure now.

  6. The Jets are set to have $80m in salary cap next offseason – we are not going to be attracting high caliber talent, we will have a Jets tax in FA. I’d much rather retain Breece, even if that is on a 1 year franchise tag than overpay the next Trumaine Johnson or LeVeon Bell. We are likely drafting a QB in the first, let’s keep as much offensive firepower for him as possible.

  7. This saddens me beyond believe. The level of talent we had the past 2 years was as good as we can have it.

What really needs to happen is Woody needs to sell the team. That is the only answer. He is one of the worst owners in sports.

If he is traded, I’m betting he goes to KC, TB, PIT or WSH

  8. So our coach wants to ground and pound the ball. We have a QB who can’t throw to a check down. Our #2 bruiser RB is fielding kicks and is out for more than half the season. We are going to trade our #1 back and one of the only bright spots on the team. Cool. Management/ownership is giving up on the season after 5 weeks. Cool.

  9. He’s valuable to a playoff contending team, we likely aren’t giving a RB a generous contract in rebuild mode assuming he even wants to stay.

Makes sense to trade him even if it breaks my damn heart. What’s gonna hurt the most is watching him turn into a top 3 RB on a good team, because he IS that talented.

  10. I don’t see why you do this unless you’re just taking away weapons to reinforce the tank. You’re not getting much back unless it’s to a playoffs team with an injured RB

  11. It would be stupid to trade him for a fifth. Fumble issues can be fixed. The one bright spot in the offense has been the running game.

  12. Jets fans: “This team is terrible again”
Also Jets fans: “The key to winning is getting rid of our best players for nothing so we can rebuild for the 20th time”

  13. Steps foot on another practice field and boom 300/1600/18 and yet another player the “jets were holding back”

  14. Lots of injured RBs out there for contending teams. If you can get a 3rd for him, you take it.

  15. “Breaking News 🚨* Loser organization trades best player for different players to lose with”

  16. A classic Jets move is to wait until players become worthless as trade bait. Trading Breece now? I don’t hate it.This season is over.

  17. It will be more than a fifth, I would guess a third rounder. Chiefs, Chargers, Bears, Cardinals could all use him.

Are the Chargers really going to hold the line at a fourth and let the Chiefs get him for a third? Chiefs have won the division every year for the last decade and Chargers haven’t won since Obama’s first term.

  18. In the article, it says Breece failed to elevate the offense like they’d hoped. He was so underutilized last season and started this season as a rotating back. When he had the backfield he was the overall RB2

  19. I think we’d be very lucky to get a late third pedicated on him hitting reasonable conditions.

I think i’d rather keep him at that price even though we could really use a third rounder.

  20. Jets can trade whoever the hell they want, nothing will ever change until Woody Johnson is dead and looking up at us

  21. Considering the Jets have the option of either tagging him at $14M or letting him walk for an R4 comp pick, this probably would be the year to capitalize and get him for a second or high third rounder.

But he’s also probably our second best offensive piece and only 24 years old. We aren’t going to be paying a QB big money anytime soon so if there was any time to lock in a plus RB on a short term deal at a high AAV…it’s now.

Not an easy call either way.

  22. I have this thought in my head that it would be nice to have him around for another 3 years to support the QB we draft high in that timeframe. Although, even under that thought there’s a price point that would make me forget about that, said price point being a 1st or 2nd. I’d have to think on a 3rd.

Day three? I’d rather keep him if I’m honest. I’m not convinced that he’s replaceable by a player from those rounds. Other than a handful of exceptions that get treated like the rule for some reason, most RB’s from that point on actually aren’t equal to the ones from higher rounds. You aren’t necessarily guaranteed to match the output of a really good veteran RB, at most you just get a fresher pair of (probably lesser) legs. And Breece’s tires aren’t THAT worn, so… keep him.

    Unless we get a ransom.

  23. This is making me wonder how Breece Halls contract negotiations is going. Does he even want to stay in New York???😕🤔🧐
