15. Honestly I think focusing on reinforcing the effort in the blocking game is probably good for making players feel less selfish towards wanting the ball. They get to feel like they’re making a difference more than in the stats that most teams and the media really only focus on. Meanwhile other teams like the Eagles have a culture where Devonta Smith and AJ Brown bitch and complain about wanting the ball and not being happy with how the offensive game is not letting them contribute.

    Dan Campbell and the Lions as a whole understand the psychological aspect of building a successful team with a successful culture more than most teams do.
