HIGHLIGHTS: LA Kings at Vegas Golden Knights | 10.08.25

told me before the game, Boo, that he really feels that his team can defend with anybody in the National Hockey League. And I would expect veteran and new general manager of the LA Kings, Kenny Holland, to go out there at some point this season and it helps Andre and his team win at least. Glad you’ve joined us tonight. Checking game is our NHL on TNT double header. Kusbeno cross ice pass and Aiden Hill able to make the stop by Dowy. Blocked by Colton Sizzs. 11 seasons with the Nashville Predators. Here’s Dowy. He’ll hangs on. I think if he gets the mindset of shooting the puck more, he will probably get more opportunities cuz teams will respect that and things will open up. Here is Kuseno on Q. He scores. Eddie, you called it. One- nothing Los Angeles. Power play call. A little bit of a screen by Noah Hannifin. And he goes short side. A quick little pull. The key to that, hopefully we can see that same replay again. Is you just see him pull the puck into his body and then shoot it back the other way as Hill is going down. Watch this. He pulls it in and then he fires it right over the left leg. A very special night for him, guys. He doesn’t look too much ahead. He wants to slay in the here and now and take it day by day. Opportunity blocked off by Forsber. Look at Golden Knight. Some of the work by Dora FV eventually gets his puck to the net and Anton Forsber has the maybe gets score at the end of the half and then you know you get the kickoff. So something like that here for the four units. Nice move pull around. Forsber coverage, but he gets up high. He’s able to shake and bake past Dowy. And if he could just get it to his forehand, maybe an opportunity. He’s not able to corral it as though from his backhand to his forehand. Look like his stick got kind of caught there. Swept around by Edmonson. Chased by Side. Deflected out by the goal scorer. That’s a good play. And now moving in is Bfield. He scores. Two nothing Kings and he just is able to get up here on on the defender Lozan and in the turnover and then this is just a great move forehand backhand shelf in a tight that that doesn’t do any any justice though because it’s in slow-mo but some quick hands by Quinton Biffield. Watch this play by Kusenkco. gets the puck out of the zone. That is the key. And then the pressure you talked about, B defense leads to offense and Bfield. The mistake that he made in that series against Edmonton that was one of the culprits as to why they lost. The kid handled it the right way. I think he went into the summer hungry, ready to to prove and grow. Goes on back on it for the Golden Knights. Now Doria goes on, the former Bruin and Predator. Here’s Daria with some space. [Music] Well, a turnover. Dorv, this will be unassisted. Does he throw this puck between the legs of Brian Dumlin, the defenseman? No, I don’t think so. I think Dan actually closed up the five hole and it goes right by him and B short side off the post. Yeah, and when Dublin came back to the bench, he was shaking his head. I think with these two guys, I mean, we’ve seen it in preseason, we’ve seen some shifts here. Now, Turk dropping it back off. Nice move with a backhand shot, but not through. Blocked by the stick of Dublin. [Applause] Fourth line on the ice for the Kings. Heras scores. 3-1 Los Angeles. Job by the fourth line though, not just a crash and bang, get it in, get after it, make a play off the rush. And cutting wide on for deflects off hurdle towards the net and it leads to a backhand chance for Fiala. Stop by Hill. Now Dora FV pressured by Anderson. Keeps the puck alive. Slides it over onto the stick of Barner. Now Ekeel for Mner. Jack Eel once again. Under two minutes remaining on the power play. Pass across. Score. Second of the night for Nor. [Music] up top with a great play and it was Drew Dowy that ends up drifting just enough. He left the front of the net and then Stone realizes and he throws it across. Anderson not able to get it from really a nasty angle. Here’s Eel down low for Stone. Eichel keeps it alive. Mner to return for Eel. Back across Daria score. It’s an hattick on opening night for Pablo Garia. What a pass by Mark Stone again. I mean, this is carbon copy to the last one. Eiffel to Stone to Dorafia. He settles this puck down and I mean, he just throws it right up top. Just beautifully executed. [Applause] Wow, what a shot. Carry that momentum that you got in the second period, but uh it should be a a fun final 20 here in Vegas on opening night. It’s been a heck of a hockey game. Actually got his skate up in the air and was able to make that save with his I believe his left leg was well up in the air. Oh, he scores. an 8-year contract extension earlier and now the go-ahehead goal here. Jack Eel knowing playing with a guy like Mitch Martner is that there’s going to be a time if the puck comes to me and I am in this spot I am going to shoot it. I’m not going to look to pass it back. What a pass by Mitch Marner. No chance. for Anton Forsberg and a three-way type of trade if the Leafs were able to get Nico Ranton into the Toronto Maple Leaf. So obviously didn’t happen during last season. There’s Barber now the return score. [Music] the passing play. Mitch Marner pulls up, draws two LA Kings over B and then just an incredible play. An unselfish play by Jack Eel who had a chance to shoot that puck and he decided to pass it back to Barbash. Unbelievable. I mean, Turk takes the penalty now. A steal by Stone. This is the down line. What a great read there by Stone. There’s Stone again. Saved by Forsboro. What a shot by Stone. Three for a dollar and he gets tripped. And sometimes guys go maybe two, three weeks without a shot. Well, Mark Stone gets one, two, he gets three shots in about 12 seconds and a power play coming for the Golden Knights. Confidence off of this penalty kill here. Remember, the Kings played last night. Now short-handed, Trevor Moore moves to the net and scores. Short-handed goal pulling LA to within one. You’re on the power play are deadly and everybody’s going one way. You got the penalty killer stopped. Trevor Moore with pressure coming from Carlson just makes a beautiful play. So the excellent plays earlier on the penalty kill lead to a shortand a breakaway and he just roofs it right over the shoulder of Hill. 54 lead for the Golden Knights in their season opener. [Applause] Davis has won six straight season opening games. Here’s Clark. And now Biffield cutting wide towards the net. Score. The Kings tie it on the beautiful setup and the finish by Clark up to the blue line here. Now all of a sudden there’s only one D back. White Cloud gets beat wide and then Clark wins the battle with Riley Smith going right to the blue paint and it is 55 here in Vegas after the penalty kill. A little bit of a line juggle for Jim Hiller’s group by field lefer and Kusenko season opener here in Vegas with all the Knights and the Kings headed for overtime up front for the Kings. Andrew Downey Golden’s control gets a stick on it. Oh, what a play by Dowy. And now Biffield looking to gain a step. Moving in and the save by Hill. Dowy knocked that puck out of midair to create the chance for Bfield. And watch the play Drew Dowy. Dor looked like he would have had a twoon one. Knocks it down. Gets it to by field. Dowy. 5 seconds. Here’s Deno. Dell with a shot blocker save. Hill. Shootout upcoming. moving in on Hill. Tempe shoots. He scores. Coming down the off wing as a goalie. You got to you got to be careful against a low blocker shot. He’ll seem to drift. Jack Eel has four points tonight. Eel to the net. Stopped by Forsber. Looks like Eel’s going to have a wide open net. Gonna go to his backhand. I know he pulls it all the way back but just not able to move that puck away from the blue paint. Here’s Trevor Moore have a huge short-handed goal. Moore scores [Music] 16 blocking. The Kings two for two. Here’s Dorafia. He has a hat-tick tonight. Dorafia scores keep the line. [Music] right here. Whoa, almost stick handled that puck right in the corner. First game is a goal tonight. Has a couple of points. Roll it in on Forsber. He dukes and a stop. The Kings win in a shootout six-5. [Applause]

  1. Amazing comeback by Kings after blowing 2 goal lead. Knights had all the momentum. Kings didn’t even have a pulse for most of the 3rd period. They came back from the grave to win this game. Same great individual goals by the Kings.

  2. What an incredible fkn game!!! The Kings finished off a $1020 parlay for me in improbable comeback fashion, just unbelievable.. I'm gonna forever love this team!! I even had to drop a $100 futures Stanley cup bet on LA as a gratitude 😂

  3. I get so tired of the kings dumping the puck into the corner and chasing it’s boring hockey. The knights more than double time of offensive of zone possession. I don’t like Hiller at all. Nice come back win. GKG!
