  1. I have faith that theyll get something done… Out of every NFL team, the 9ers have been very proactive in terms of mid season trades.

  3. I’m tempering expectations.  All of the language has been about it having to work with their future plans and cap space etc etc. 

    I would looooove Simmons or hendrickson…por que no los dos?

    But im not gonna be heartbroken if nothing happens.

  5. Given the return of Saleh and how this team is holding it down while the starters are out, I fully expect them to be aggressive this year as they’ve shown in the past.

    I’m not too savvy on the edge options out there, but damn am I enjoying Mykel Williams as he gets better every week.

  9. Someone asked Kyle yesterday, during his presser, if he felt the team was 1 acquisition away from a shot at a Superbowl, similarly to what happened with Sanders in 2019. His answer was quick, and very much a “Not at all.”. This, coupled with Lynch’s comment really makes me think they are looking, but not pursuing anything big.. and as much as I dislike it (because I’d love to believe we’re a pass-rusher away from a Lombardi run) I think their assesment is very correct.

    This team is hanging in there, and might still be hanging in there longer down the season, but things are bound to break and there’s so much that really needs fixing and addressing (OL, rushing, D# takeaways, pass-rush..) that one big name won’t probably tip us over the edge (sic).

    It sucks, but it’ll probably come down to trading for a far less flashy rusher or DL guy, just to bolster up things, in anything at all.

  10. They’ve always been aggressive when the team is good. CMC, Sanders, and Young were all mid seasons aggressive trades.

    Maxx Crosby just doesn’t feel realistic, especially with Pete Carroll in Vegas

  15. I would hold off my expectations. Hendrickson and especially Crosby are not walking thru the door…

  16. If they get someone, I really can’t see it being a Crosby or Hendrickson type. There are under-performing teams with key players out that may be looking to shed some cap space and/or get something back for a mid tier talent that they don’t plan to bring back. From there perspective, better to get a 5th round pick now than let the guy walk for nothing in the offseason, especially if you know you’re not going to be competitive. Teams like the Dolphins, Browns, Ravens come to mind, though I don’t know specifically what DL options might be suitable from them. Or just a bottom feeder team like the Jets or Giants. Bad teams can still have serviceable players in some positions.

    I think the 49ers front office feels good about our core DL unit going into next year, but we need to shore up the group this season due to injuries. Hard to replace Bosa by committee when half the committee is also nursing injuries. I don’t see the team giving up a ton of draft capital for a one year rental on a superstar, but they could get a competent body for a year without breaking the bank if they make the right offer to the right team.

  25. Our team is not that good. We have a weak schedule and lucked out against the rams with those missed kicks, I don’t want to sound like I’m hating but we really need to evaluate where we are once Aiyuk Kittle and Purdy are healthy.

  26. A DE would be ideal, but another superstar at another superstar at another position (for example, a bullrush DT or a blitzing OLB or a shutdown corner) could help offset the loss of Bosa.

  28. With the injuries that happened throughout the last game, it was very noticeable that the front 4 couldn’t put enough pressure on Matthew Stafford. I wonder if 49ers acquire a pass rusher, who it will be.

  29. Multiple injured, and Brock has an injury with an unknown timeline. Is it really worth it? Also I feel like our drafting for the most part has been pretty solid, I think one more solid draft and then we can start trading picks away mid season
