Giannis Antetokounmpo Reveals TRUTH on Knicks Trade…
Giannis Adakmpo has revealed the truth on the Knicks trade rumors and the Knicks trade that is coming for Giannis to land in New York. While Doc Rivers has also spoken on it and on top of that, the Knicks made a very sneaky move earlier that has Knicks fans quite excited or at the very least should have Knicks fans quite excited because it is helpful to exactly what the Knicks are trying to do here. Very Leon Roseesque and also a perfect fit for a Mike Brown coaching staff. and we are going to discuss all of this. So, wasting no time jumping right in, guys. There’s a lot to go over. And real fast, if you’re part of that 56% that’s not subscribed to Nick’s Digest. Make sure to subscribe for daily New York Knicks updates. We have a lot of great videos coming out for you every single day that you don’t want to miss out on. But let’s jump into it, guys. Again, lot to talk about with the Knicks right now. Because, as we know, Giannis Antmpo is the talk of the NBA. I mean, Brian Winst literally just said seconds before I started this video. I checked my phone. I’m saying it now because I didn’t see I didn’t get a graphic of it in time. But basically, everyone’s gearing up for this to be Giannis’s last season in Milwaukee. Even the way that Giannis is talking, it’s very evident that he’s going to be leaving the Milwaukee Bucks. The Bucks since winning the championship have just been bounced in the first round three straight years. And frankly, it doesn’t feel like that’s going to turn around. The Damen Lillard experiment failed. I mean, getting Miles Turner as your second best player doesn’t feel like a great pathway to success, especially when you’re a team that, well, frankly, doesn’t have a very great bench either. The Bucks, they’re not good. They’re not a good team at all. And Giannis is going to carry them like he always does. They have individually good players. I mean, my Turner’s a very nice player, don’t get me wrong, but he’s not going to change the world. He’s not going to change the Bucks. And frankly, I don’t see a world where the Milwaukee Bucks are really that competitive. They are as competitive as Giannis can literally drag them. However far Giannis can drag him is as far as the Bucks are going to go because that’s just really all they have is Giannis right now. And with that in mind, there has been a lot of discussion about him going to the Knicks. And he has spoken on that finally saying I want to be in situations where I can win. And now I’m here. I believe in this team. The moment I step in this facility, the rest doesn’t matter. I’m locked in. If six to seven months change my mind, I I change my mind. That’s human. you’re allowed to make any decision you want. And frankly, I mean, this is just kind of sounding like it’s been a bit of a change with Giannis with him even saying, “I’ve always wanted to be in Milwaukee. I always wanted to represent the city as as long as we have the opportunity to win. I feel like we have an opportunity to win. So, I’m here. Milwaukee Bucks, I’m here. There’s going to be a lot of people that are going to approach me or going to approach my agents and they’re going to say, “Hey, this is a possibility. That’s a possibility. But at the end of the day, ultimately, I’m going to make my decision. My decision today is that I’m here and I’m committed to this team. Giannis, it sounds like what any professional would say right there. Basically saying, yeah, I’m not trying to leave right now, but if I change my mind, that’s a human thing with him basically warning Bucks fans, don’t get too comfortable with me being here right now. I don’t in intend on staying for much longer now. And understandably so, the Bucks, they’ve just not had much success after trading or after winning the NBA Finals. And I mean, this is not a championship lineup. I mean, Ryan Rollins, AJ Green, Kyle Koosma, Giannis Miles Turner is not a championship lineup. This is a very far fall from grace from that Drew Holiday, Chris Middleton, Giannis Core that was once there. It’s just one hell of a change. It’s just not the same team anymore. It’s far different. And we are seeing that now. It’s just completely different unit and it’s just I mean the bench isn’t really inspiring like your best bench players are I mean Cole Anthony can create his own shot. Kevin Porter can create his own shot. Neither of them can really defend. Gary Trent Jr. is a good three-point shooter isn’t a great defender. Torian Prince is solid. Bobby Portoris is not a bad player. Gary Harris gives you something. Maybe Jericho Sims we know quite well. It’s just it’s not an inspiring unit at all. I mean, you look at this team without Giannis, this team is not just bad. They’re really, really, really bad. But with Giannis, because he’s Giannis, they’re a playoff team. But this is not a team that’s going to win a championship. Let’s be honest. Let’s be real. This team, Giannis can’t drag them the whole way. The playoffs are too long. They’re too based off team strength. And the Bucks don’t have good team strength. They just have the best player in the Eastern Conference by a sizable margin, don’t get me wrong, but like at the same time, you look at a team like the Knicks, if the Knicks and the Bucks ran into each other, the Bucks would probably just end up getting steamrolled because as great as Giannis is, there’s nobody else really on this squad who you have to have that much concern over outside of Miles Turner. It’s the only two guys who you’re like, “All right, well, they concern me. They’re good. Outside of that, I’m not really worried.” So, I really don’t see the Bucks doing much. I do think Giannis will stay throughout the season. I don’t exactly think he’ll request a trade during the deadline or even if he does, I don’t expect Giannis get moved during the deadline, I should say. I do imagine Giannis will stick around until the rest of the season and then get traded next year. And the Knicks, they are the heavy heavy heavy heavy favorites for Giannis. Giannis is a superstar and he wants to play in a team where he can get the just the wins that a superstar gets. The man put up 30 points per game, 12 rebounds, six and a half assists, one block, one steal, and shot 60% from the field last season. He’s absolutely excellent. He’s one of the best players in the NBA. He has been for a very long time now. And frankly, he doesn’t want to waste his career away just winning one championship and then sitting with the Bucks who just cannot do anything right now because they’re out of assets. And it’s starting to show. He has Miles Turner who’s definitely a good help. The man shot 49% on corner threes last year, 40% from three overall, 48% from the field, putting up 15.6 points and 6.5 rebounds with two blocks. But that’s not a second best player on a championship team. That’s the issue. As great of as the fit with Giannis is, this is not a championship duo because Turner is, I think at the very best a third best player on a championship team. So I don’t see how this works out. And Doc Rivers spoke on this whole thing and said, I mean, what are you supposed to say? I’ve been coaching 26 27 years and one thing that I know is that 30 teams call 30 teams. All right. Hey, would you like to trade Chris Paul? And you say, “No, that does not constitute a conversation.” All right. You know, I read it where I said real conversations. Well, that never happened. It was a conversation where a team called and John has been saying now for 11 years, I don’t know why this is a new story, but I guess it’s funny. What’s the old saying? You create the story and then you report on the story you created and that’s what it feels like and it gets old for us but at the end of the day there’s nothing we can do about it but I tell you that John Horst has never called a team about Giannis. That is never happened and until that happens you don’t really have a story. Now on top of that we also saw James Edwards mentioned something else but we’ll go over that in a second. It’s just basically when we look at Doc Rivers, when we look at this quote, I mean, it sounds like he’s in denial like more than anything. Yeah, I understand what he’s saying. Well, it wasn’t a full conversation. That’s fine. No one’s saying it’s some deep conversation. Again, what happened was the Knicks called the Bucks. They talked about Giannis. The Bucks said that we are we are more open to trading Giannis because he wants to leave. What do you have for us? Okay, that’s not a good enough trade deal. See you later. I understand that. But the key thing is they showed an openness and willingness to trading him unlike they have before. That is the difference here. That’s the biggest difference that we see. And Giannis, I mean, as Bill Simmons mentioned, he only has eight playoff series wins, fewer than LeBron at 41, KD at 22, Kawhi at 19, and Jason Tatum at 15, and Jokic at 10. And as Bill Simmons said, I really think it’s starting to get to him, which is understandable, too. And also on top of that, the team that would have the easiest time trading for Giannis doesn’t have interest. Despite owning a boatload of picks over the next few years, the Thunder have zero interest in trading for Giannis right now. And it’s just become one of these things that if the Thunder aren’t open to it, it does feel like what’s going to happen is that Giannis is going to try to force his way to the Knicks one way or another. Is it going to work out? That’s the big question. I do think the Miami Heat are a massive sleeper to trade Tyler Herro for Giannis. Obviously, there will be a lot more on the uh on the Heat side that they’re giving away. It’ll be Tyler Herro, a bunch of picks a while down the road, and probably some more stuff as well. Probably Khal Wear, maybe Nicole Yoic, depending on when this happens, when he’s eligible for a trade again. That’s kind of what I expect to happen in a way because I just I do think that Giannis will try to force his way to the Knicks. I’m unsure how successful he’ll be, but we’re going to wait and see and see exactly what happens with that. Well, we also discussed the fact that the Knicks made a sneaky move, bringing in someone who’s very close with Jaylen Brunson to the team back when they were on the Mavericks as James Edwards announced that the Knicks have hired Peter Patton as a shooting coach. He’s been the director of player development in Chicago and a shooting coach for Minnesota and Dallas. So, good little signing by the Knicks, something that Jaylen Brunson likes. And as Leco mentioned that or Esco mentions that Peter Patton was Jaylen Brunson shooting coach in Dallas, I heard that the Brunson’s pushed for this hire. So showing that Jaylen Brunson does have some pull in the organization and Jaylen Brunson has talked about him in the past as well saying the hard work I put in with him has been instrumental in my success six days a week morning and night and Patton said he showed up every single night. So we had someone who’s just helpful for Jaylen Brunson and should be a good shooting coach for the team. So interesting to see. Obviously when we consider stuff like this that happens it’s important to note that we look at this guy and we understand Mike Brown wants to shoot over 43s a game this season. So with that in mind, it is good to add another shooting coach into the room. Just add some more just stability with the shooting as well. The Knicks obviously do have a lot of lineups that could be great with shooting. For instance, the one that I love, the one that I want to see start games with Jaylen Brunson, Deuce McBride, McCale, OG, Carl Anthony Towns have a true five out. I’d like to see that, but it will be interesting to see how the Knicks do this, especially playing in a pace and space style now. It’ll be exciting. Looking forward to seeing how the Knicks shoot the ball. I’m looking forward to the to the Knicks shooting more threes. Something they obviously should have been doing last year with their squad. They made a five out squad and then never used it for some weird reason or well that weird reason was Tom Tibido, I guess. But we’re going to talk a lot more about the Knicks and the intricacies of this stuff, especially as time goes on, especially during postgame, stuff like that. So stay tuned for that. If nyk win the playoffs this year the Knicks will look very appealing towards giannis
Giannis said he will lead his Bucks team, wherever it goes it goes🤣🤣🤣
Here's the deal. Giannis waited too lon to say he wanted a trade. If he had said this last off season he'd be a Knick. But to wait until the preseason means that he's not serious about it and the Knicks have moved on. The call (if it ever happened) was last summer. Leon Rose isn't calling the Bucks now and letting the interest in Giannis get out there. He's not stupid. You can imagine what kind of distraction this would be so forget it. Giannis is off the table. Let's move on. The Knicks are THIS CLOSE. Let's go for it now and see what happens. Let's go Knicks.
