AND I GUESS YOU’RE TRYING TO CAPTURE YOUR AUDIENCE, THE YANKEE FANS ARE UPSET AND SAD SO YOU HAVE TO BE SAD, OKAY UNDERSTANDABLE, ALL RIGHT. SO A BIG MOMENT FOR THE BLUE JAYS AND THEN MOVING ON TO THE ALCS, THAT SHOULD BE ACKNOWLEDGED. EVEN AS A YANKEE, YOU KNOW, YES, PAUL. YEAH, IT WASN’T A HUGE PLAY. LIKE A, A GAME-WINNING HOME RUN BY THE A, DO THE EXCITEMENT AND THEN MORE. AND WITH ALL THE MEN LEFT ON BASE, IT WAS LIKE, YOU COULD FEEL THE CAPTURED THE TONE. AND I THINK THAT THERE WAS SPECULATION, I THERE WASN’T ANYTHING, THAT WAS CONCRETE THAT. MAYBE AARON BOONE WOULD LOSE HIS JOB IF THEY GOT SWEPT. AND WE HAD CHRISTOPHER MAD, DOG RUSSO ON, HE GOES NOPE, FRONT OFFICE. LOVES BUN LOVES CASHMAN. CASHMAN’S BEEN THERE IN SOME CAPACITY SINCE 1986 BUT AARON BOONE LOOKS LIKE HE’LL SURVIVE EVEN THOUGH THEY GOT 1 WIN OUT OF THIS. AND YOU HAVE TO START TO WONDER ARE THE YANKEES, THAT YOUR TEAM IS GOOD. YOU HAVE MAYBE THE BEST PLAYER IN THE GAME. YOU THEY OKAY UH HAVE A PRETTY YOU KNOW UH HEFTY PAYROLL BUT ARE YOU OKAY? NOT GOING TO THE ALCS LIKE, HOW WOULD YOU SUM THIS UP IF YOU’RE A YANKEE UH, YOU KNOW, PERSON IN THE FRONT OFFICE OR AARON GOES? LIKE, DID YOU EXCEED EXPECTATIONS? BECAUSE I WOULD BE DISAPPOINTED IF I BUT I YOU KNOW GROWING UP AND SEEING THE YANKEES WHEN THE YANKEES WERE TRULY DOMINATING AND SPENDING MORE MONEY THAN ANYBODY, BUT THAT’S NOT THE CASE ANYMORE. THEY’VE ALMOST BECOME KIND OF PRUDENT WHERE, YOU KNOW, WE’RE GOING TO PICK AND CHOOSE. UH, WE’RE NOT GOING TO GO CRAZY ON THE SODO CONTRACT AND, UH, YOU KNOW, WE WE’VE GOT A COUPLE OF GOOD GUYS HERE. I MEAN, THEY OVERPAID FOR A COUPLE OF PLAY, ARE THEY STILL PAYING JACOBY ELLSBURY? HE MIGHT, HE MIGHT STILL BE GETTING PAID BY THEM BUT IT IT JUST FEELS LIKE AND THEY DIDN’T HAVE GERRIT COLE SO YOU GOT I MEAN THAT’S 1 OF THE BEST PICTURES IN THE GAME BUT I DON’T KNOW, THIS WOULDN’T HAVE HAPPENED, THEY WOULDN’T HAVE, YOU KNOW, BEEN KIND OF STUCK IN NEUTRAL WITH GEORGE. THE LAST TIME THEY WON WAS AGAINST THE PHILLIES IN 2009 WHEN THEY WON THE WORLD SERIES. NO, NO, I’M TALKING ABOUT WINNING A GAME. 2009 SERIES. SO THEY WON 1 WORLD SERIES GAME AND THAT YES. TIME IS IT ENOUGH OF A BAND-AID THAT THEY CAN SAY, THEY KNOCKED OUT THE RED SOX IN THE PLAYOFFS AS FAR AS WHO’S KEEPING THEIR JOBS AND HAVING ANYTHING POSITIVE TO SAY YANKEES? I DON’T THINK THIS WAS A GREAT RED SOX TEAM. I THINK THIS RED SOX TEAM FELT LIKE THEY OVER-ACHIEVED A LITTLE BIT BUT IF I’M IN THE YANKEE, YANKEE FAN. OH, THIS AIN’T ABOUT THE RED SOX ANYMORE YOU KNOW BECAUSE THAT RED SOX AREN’T THE SECOND BEST TEAM OR THE OR THE BEST TEAM IN THE AMERICAN LEAGUE. YOU KNOW, TORONTO IS A YOUNG TEAM AND THEY THEY GOT A LOT OF POWER SCORE. A LOT OF RUNS, YOU KNOW, TIGERS AREN’T GOING AWAY ANYTIME SOON. UH, SEATTLE UP AND COMING YOUNG TEAM, YOU KNOW. SO YOU GOT TO START THINKING BIGGER PICTURE HERE THAN HEY, WE BEAT THE RED SOX. THAT WOULDN’T SATISFY ME. YEAH, PAUL, THE YANKEES ARE CURRENTLY AT 16 STRAIGHT SEASONS WITHOUT WINNING A WORLD SERIES AND THAT TIES THEIR LONGEST STRETCH IN THE HISTORY OF THE FRANCHISE. THEY WENT FROM 79 TILL 96 WITHOUT WINNING. SO 16 YEARS THEN, AS WELL. AND HAVING BEEN THERE, WHEN GEORGE WOULD FIRE BILLY, MARTIN A COUPLE OF TIMES, UH, HE JUST DIDN’T, YOU KNOW, AND, AND IT WAS VERY REACTIONARY, YOU KNOW, YOU WERE NEVER SURPRISED THAT GEORGE WAS GOING TO DO SOMETHING LIKE THAT. AND, AND GRANTED, THERE HAS TO BE SOMEWHERE IN BETWEEN OF TODAY’S, YOU KNOW, YANKEES BACK TO WHEN GEORGE WAS THERE. BUT STILL ACCOUNTABILITY. AND I’M NOT, YOU KNOW, UH, I GUESS PLEADING FOR OR SUGGESTING THEY FIRE AARON BOONE. I MEAN I’M NOT A BIG FAN OF HIS FROM THE STANDPOINT OF ANALYTICS AND HERE’S A GUY WHO PLAYED THE GAME, BROTHER PLAYED THE GAME, HIS DAD PLAYED THE GAME, HIS DAD MANAGED LIKE GUT FEELING STILL HAS A PLACE IN THE GAME, AND IT DOESN’T ALWAYS FEEL THAT WAY WHEN I LOOK AT THE YANKEES. BUT, UH, I’M JUST SURPRISED BUT THEN YOU’RE GOING TO SAY, OR AT LEAST, I WOULD SAY, ALL RIGHT, AND WHO YOU BRINGING IN BECAUSE HOW MANY GREAT MANAGERS OUT THERE AND AARON BOONE?     And the Blue Jays didn't have Bo, who was leading the league in hits and a bunch of other stats before he got injured with 3 weeks left in the season. Which BTW he still finished 3rd in total hits even though he missed considerable amount of time…

  4. MLB loves Hal, Cashman & Boone because they've perfected the formula of making the Yankees good every year – but not dominant. They sell tickets & merch. They help keep TV ratings high. But not quite good enough to win it all. Yankees fans must hope one day they'll get lucky & win the postseason tournament.

  7. The conceit here is that the Yankees should win the WS every year. With the changes to the post season, the road is far more difficult than before. Yankee fans will be disappointed, as all fans are when their team loses. Credit to the winners.

    "Toronto has a lot of power"… Um, how much research are you doing? Power is one of the SMALLEST parts of their game.
    Yankees lost to the better team, in every aspect. Defense, bullpen, starters, even POWER, the Yankees MAIN weapon. You were NOT the better team. Admit it, deal with it and move on.

  11. Stop with the Excuses, it's ok to admit th Yankees lost to a clearly better team, and it frankly wasn't close. Jays were the best team in the AL, there's a reason they're the #1 seed despite playing in the AL East that had 3 playoff teams.

  15. The Jay clubhouse playing New York New York was hilarious. Yank fans just don’t get how hated they are. The arrogance has always made them targets. The Red Sox burst the magic bubble twenty years ago (Saint Papi 😇) and orioles, Tribe, Royals and Tigers fans enjoy every moment of Yankee suffering.

  16. The biggest difference with the Yankees now is that no one is scared of them in the postseason. They've won 1 title in 25 years, and half the league has won titles during that era, with one more possibly pending. 04 ended their dynasty. They bought that 09 and now they can't do that because other teams spend as much or more than them now.

  19. yankees didn't have the right position players, they have cole and it wouldn't have made a difference, jays are a different hitting team now, they just look for the open field and put the ball there, been doing it all year

  21. Dave Sims really picked a bad year to leave Seattle to come to this horror show of a team lol. Oh, and he's also a terrible announcer – horrible voice and jilted speech pattern.

  26. Most times in life, money is meaningl😢. The best player and more does not measure up to winning. Bandaid measures are not worthy. Team players win games. Boone did his job, the players failed.
