Phillies vs. Dodgers NLDS Game 4 Highlights (10/9/25) | MLB Highlights

Phillies finally get on the board and Frenchy, the road team has won every game in this series. Now, the Phillies feel like they have things turned in their favor. They’ve got their ace on the mound today. And Christopher Sanchez, the Dodgers hope to finish it off today in advance to the national league championship series. Tyler Glass. Now, it has been a long time since he posted a postseason win. French. He got to back to 2020 as a member of the Tampa Bay Rays, dave Roberts was able to get him in there. You see game one for glass. Now, he’s got that big fastball that he’ll sink a little bit to get the slider. But where he wants to do is get ahead and go to that curveball batters hitting 104 off that pitch this year. It is electric turner hit 304 in the regular season, won his second batting title in the national league defensive swing up and in with a fastball and this one starts with a bang for Tyler Glass. Now selling out what you have to that fastball that one just kept and the designated hitter, kyle Schwarber hit one of the longest home runs ever at Dodger Stadium last night up on top of the roof of the right field pavilion. That one is down the right field line that’s going to get down fair for a base hit hernandez over to glove it and Schwarber in the second base with a double and now kyle Shwarma starting to come alive in this series, third hit in his last five at bats for Schwarber. He had endured an 0 to 22 streak at the plate going back into the regular season until that home run. He hit yesterday Schwarber at second base for Bryce Harper. Now Harper a little roll over ground ball Freeman hits and there he is out. Number two over to third goes for the Phillies, the right guy up at the plate right now. Not a lot of power yet, but staying up the middle and his walk and now misses another close pitch thought he had it and B gets the benefit of the call. So that’ll be a two out walk. So now 1st and 3rd with two away and Brandon Marsh at the plate, Dodger fans get loud, got him swinging 99 by a booking K’s and a scoreless first for glass. Now for sanchez right there knowing that big sinker coming in, of course, the slider and change up, he left with the lead in game one. He pitched beautifully in that game. Looked like the ace that the Phillies have relied on all year. They lost zack Wheeler in the middle of the season. It was a devastating loss for Philadelphia to lose your ace digs in, quickly ready to go. And Christopher Sanchez, the Phillies ace as Otani swings at the first pitch, a jam shot pop up and Bohm puts it away in foul grounds for out number 11 pitch , one out to get Sanchez started one and two. The count on Mookie Betts swing. He goes a strikeout on the changeup. The signature pitch for Christopher sanchez. So tough to lay off. I’m telling you when you’re sitting here and you get that sinker in that pitch coming out of the same area as a hitter. So tough to decide to ask Hernandez that big three run home run in game one but against sanchez is zero for three with three strikeouts swinging on hot shot right at ST he’ll make the catch line drive, snares it knee high and the side is retire. Dodgers go in order in their half of the first will go to the second. The count 2 to 2 on Kepler. Here’s the pitching. Adam is now with a strikeout and he hits 99 his best fastball yet. Third K for Tyler Glass. Now he got ahead 0 to 2 right. So he threw a couple of pitches trying to get the chase where he gets it here is because of that big curveball hitters sometimes get a little bit on the defense and that’s 99 right at the top of the zone. He’s not going to catch up to that hit on the ground to second base Edmond Shuffles over his left and pros and that’s a 123 2nd for glass. Now, keep the game scoreless. Freddie zero for three. Yesterday was hit by a pitch. He hits that one sharply in the right center. A base hit over to cut it off. He’s Marsh Freddie Freeman with a single and the first Dodger hit comes to lead off. The second inning comes with two strikes as well. Switch hitter Tommy Edmond who homered yesterday and he’s on the first pitch again, liner in the left field and it is caught by Kepler, a diving catch in left center. The closing speed of Max Kepler takes it extra base hit away from tommy Edmond in the first out of the second inning. What a play for that ball? Usually if it’s coming that way , it to you, that ball was going away from Kepler. And let me tell you, look at the bright sky in the stands over here. Not an easy play. Smith. Second start of this postseason was on the roster in the wild card series. Did not play grounds one left side bone scoops. It fires to second dugout by Harper. They get the double play. What a turn by Scott. He had a long way to run to get to the bag and he makes an off balance one hop throw that Harper picks out at first double play to end the stadium trying to cheer through the third inning. Two outs bases empty. No score, the 0 to 2 pitch swinging high fastball at 97 and Tyler Glassell on a roll to start game four, he’s got four strikeouts in three scoreless innings. Paul was acquired from the Nationals just turned 31 a couple of weeks ago that hit him ouch. That was a fastball down and in and Paul is fighting off the paint right now. Hit him on an 02 pitch right on the inside 90 six flush too. I mean, the way the ball just stopped going to be given a moment here, try to run it off. He’s a tough kid. He’s a Wisconsin kid. That’s why Frenchy wouldn’t miss this one for the world and he’s going to stay in and here’s hernandez now back up the middle glove by get it to turn the first. Not in time. Harper did a nice job there to make sure he kept that from going into the dugout. Excellent play by stot and they get the lead out at second. Hernandez will reach on a fielder’s choice. One of the quickest in fields in all of baseball right here that takes another gear and a swing and a miss the, the changeup and Pae strikes out second strikeout. Sanchez Sanchez struck out Otani three times in the game one start last Saturday as a ground ball. Boom. Oh, he misplayed it and it’s in the left center Hernandez to third. A crack in the armor. Phillies have been pretty tight defensively here in L A. There are no bad hops, believe me in this infield ball just kicked that one. So ball, he lifted up the gate and an E five first and third. Now Mookie be steps in Dodgers have an opportunity to cash one in swings and grounds one to first Harper lays down. He smothers it gets up, steps on the bag and the side is retired and the threat averted after the two out error by ball, no harm done as Christopher sanchez makes a pitch on bats to get out of trouble. Harper has had a patient approach here to start the fourth 68. Yeah, that ball is hit sharply in the left center field, Paez right to the spot with the sunglasses on as Alec ball draws the walk. Those are close pitches but Bohm with a good eye and he walks for the second consecutive time. Haven’t seen many in this particular format. The five game format haven’t seen many teams come back from being down 02. Marsh rollover Edmons got it fired a second out and that’s all they’ll get Marsh. Very fast runner. Great play by tommy Edmon two outs in the inning. Now with a runner at first March hit this pretty well but Edmond a nice play here and smart to know here by Mookie, you’re not going to get him. Rutto lined out to right field to Oscar hernandez has shaded a step toward the line and shallow in right field. Rutto hits it on the ground sharply at third. is there inside the line bouncer Freeman. Is there, what a play by sharply hit ground ball just inside the third base line? A one hot throw to Freddie Freeman who stretched in time to retrieve the final out. Think about how that game is going for sanchez in game one. Saturday. He struck out Otani three times. He struck out to Oscar hernandez three times and it was Otani who got the win and hernandez who had the big homer and he wipes out to Oscar Hernandez with a changeup out number one. So six ground ball outs for Christopher Sanchez through four innings. It’s a 123 bottom of the fourth. Nothing solved here in game four of the National league division series. Castano’s waits on deck and the payoff pitch upstairs ball four. It’s the third walk by glass now and the Phillies have the leadoff batter aboard for the first time today and now let’s see if Castanos can cash it in a swing. Adam is got him on a slider, a walk and a strikeout to start the inning for Tyler Glass. Now strikeout number five, the 12 runner goes swing and a miss throw. The second is late. So Stott strikes out but Kepler steals second base and the Phillies have a runner in scoring position with two away, a little number off the end of the bat right side of the infield is there. He gets it away quickly and accurately to freddie and that ends the inning. So the leadoff walk doesn’t hurt glass now or the Dodgers, he has put up 1/5 01 hitting the Phillies as we’re halfway home in game four without a score pitch. Number nine of the sequence, what an at bat here by Will Smith and a swing and a Miss smith strikes out nine pitch battle but strikeout number four and look at the location of this pitch. You’ve seen sinkers the way you’ve seen the change up away. And what do you do? 98 coming back over the plate? And I mean, as good as Will Smiths been and what a at bat, sanchez is able to get him one away here is alex Cole and he comes out into right and alex Cole has a base hit. He’s been on twice and he has been on four times in his four plate appearances against Christopher Sanchez. A nemesis for the big lefty TK Hernandez would call at 1st 32 and a soft liner caught by Turner. Trey. Turner lays out to make the play another good defensive gym in this one. And the second out of the inning , one of those changeups and hit it off the end of the bat hoping to find a hole. But Turner in the right spot, two outs. Now here’s Andy and the old one again bounced on the ground to third, gobbled up by the short way to second in time to get alex called. And the inning is over five shutout innings for Christopher sanchez. But the same can be said for Glass. Now, Schwarber two homers yesterday did have a double in the first and a swing and a miss. He got him on a curve. Seven strikeouts for Tyler Glass. Now two of two down in the sixth for Alec Bone, one ball, one strike and hits that one like a bullet to center field. Alec Bone squares it up two out single for the Phillies in the sixth home with his fourth hit of this division series four for 10. Now, here’s brandon Marsh. He struck him out, throws him with a fastball at 97 and Glassell exits to a raucous ravine after his eighth punch out completes his scoreless innings. See what he goes with no balls. Two strikes is 0 to 2 and a strikeout Sanchez to his signature pitch. The changeup, he is zero for three and one for 17 in this series. Sanchez opens up the sixth inning with A K that’s three perfectly executed pitchers, one of the best hitters in the game. That’s zero for two with a K and a ground out. And Mookie Betts dumps one into left field a base hit. He was ready for that changeup and the Dodgers have a hit and a man on with one out in the sixth Hernandez that game winning home run, one of the biggest swings of the bat in this series thus far and he shoots one into right field, a base hit professional piece of hitting by Teoscar Hernandez back to back singles for the Dodgers two on with one out. And now the Dodgers are set up with two on and Freddie Freeman coming up the 01 Freeman ground ball stott backhands it shovels it to Turner. They get the out good play by ST to Turner out number two in the inning and the runners are at 1st and 3rd. Now, tommy swing at a bouncer back to the mound in to get it. Sanchez spins fires, he got him and the inning is over as Christopher Sanchez hops off the mound, he makes the play a high five for his catcher JT route and six scoreless innings. Sanchez here at Dodger stadium in game four, continuing the theme of starting pitchers turned relievers making up the bullpen now for Dave Roberts Sheehan and Then of course, Sasaki right off the end of the bat that is going to fall a base hit JT Real Muto leadoff single in the seventh inning brings up Max Kepler. Now Kepler on the ground freeman out to second out there and she had missed it and I think it goes in the dugout. It does. That was not a bad throw from Betts Sheehan was crashing over trying to get his foot on the bag and make the play. And that’s going to put Kepler at second base 3 to 6 on the put out of Real Muto. But an opportunity missed here for Sheehan Phillies in their second consecutive game. Now they have the go ahead runner at second base. Nick Castellanos had one fair ball hits the line and in the score is Kepler on his way to second goes Castellanos. He’s in there. It’s a double. The Phillies have grabbed the lead here in game four. Castellanos with a two strike double. It just hit the paint down the left field line. Well, mistake location wise, he turns it right inside the line. You think about it a Castanos now, two for 14 this postseason , but both hits have been huge doubles and driving in two in game two and this one right here to give the Phillies a 10 lead. The Phillies strike first in the seventh inning of this game, another 32 and ST in the left center got a little bit of carry makes the play on the track. Castanos retreats to second base two outs in the seventh inning and to the top of the order we go and it will be Trey Turner zero for three today. All those at bats against glass now, swing and a miss strike three straight but I proves costly. The Phillies score the first run in game four, two balls, two strikes on call and that one just missed. Real Muil wanted it. Ball got a gift. Look at that ball moving back over the plate at 97. Sanchez has had a few of those today he thought were strikes, comes right back and now he walks Alex Cole Nemesis number one call aboard for the third time and he carries the tying run and he will bring up KK Hernandez now and it’s a hot shot through a base hit Hernandez got the change up, did not miss it. And the Dodgers have runners at 1st and 2nd with one away and the man who was delivered so many times in the month of October strikes again. Hernandez and decision time for Rob Thompson. He will waste no more time. Christopher sanchez pitched a great game six and a third. We talk about only five hits the changeup again. Outstanding. But this is that moment right here that, you know, you have to shut this down. Your team just got to the lead and they’re going to their big riding runners, stay put, bouncing ball, big chopper over to Harper. He’ll go to the bag, take the sure out. He thought for a moment about a throw to second, but that’s the you got to make, coming up to the play. I know he’s one for 17 with eight K’s this postseason and this will be the sign of respect right here and they’re going to put him on. So it puts Mookie Betts on center stage. Bases loaded two outs. Dodgers down one. What a moment. What an excruciating moment here at Dodger Stadium. This is what Mookie Betts looks for bases loaded, full count. The payoff pitch runner started up. It is ball four and this game is tied. It’s a bases loaded walk that run belongs to Sanchez and the presence of Otari despite being one for 17 in this series, two out bases loaded still Teoscar Hernandez, the 12 and he struck him out. Got him with a curve. Duran bends a little but he doesn’t break Sasaki with an eight pitch 12, 3/8 inning to keep game four tied at one and he exits to a standing goal. Well, he’s seen a fastball, a splitter and a curveball. The cat has won it two Duran kicks. Here’s the pitch to Smith swing and a mess. He struck him out, blew him away and we are headed to the ninth here in game number four. It is still a 11 game. Here’s a 12 Kepler pops it up. Hernandez wants it. He’s got it. And Roy Sasaki, six up six down serious Theater here at Dodger Stadium in game four. It’s a 11 game we go to the bottom of the ninth. You saw Max Muncy, he’ll pinch it and it’s going to be matt strong out of the Philadelphia bullpen Munce fly ball into center field, backing up on it is Marsh and he’s got it for the out of number one, Hernandez do it again. Another 12 pitch and a swing and a miss strong goes upstairs with a fastball, two up and two down and Then out away from sending this game four to extra innings. Strong deals and a fly ball to left got jammed a little coming on is Kepler and Matt Strom does the job in game four. Cannot overstate how Sasaki’s impact right now. Changes everything for the Dodgers. The payoff pitch faded to right field. Hernandez comes in and he’s there to make the catch at his knee. Another zero from Roki Sasaki Dave Roberts out of the dugout to greet him with a hug shoe to will lead off Mookie Betts to fouls hernandez and it is Rob Thompson who’s going with a starter turned reliever today in Jesus Lazaro first time in four years. He’s pitched down the bullpen 0 to 2. The count on to and a called strike three. Luzardo just carves him up, strikes Otani out on three pitches. Jesus Luzardo 12 and Betts in the air to center field Marsh eases in routine play for him and two up and two down for Luzardo, the man who’s hit a lot of big homers. Here comes Luzardo Hernandez. Did he go? Yes, he did. It’s a strikeout Jesus Luzardo three up, three down Roberts going to go to his bullpen. Sasaki three strong innings retires nine in a row. And now it’s going to be Alex Bessa on the pitch to watch his first pitch with Kyle Schwarber. Always ready. Bess deals. Swar swings and grounds it on the right side. Edmond charges from second has the flip of the glove Freddie Freeman in time to get Schwarber. Here’s Bryce Harper. Full count. Harper lays off. Esa misses badly and Bryce Harper is aboard. There’s the go ahead run at first base with one out. Now it’s Alec Bow. He’s been a hot hitter and he sends out to center field back on it. Pa has, he’s got it just shy of the wall. Harper has to retreat FM stung it but hit it to the deepest part of the ballpark two outs in the 11th and hit that on the line. Good job. Got a nice jump on that, got back on it. Bader hits for Brandon Marsh. Bryce Harper carries the go ahead run at first base and that’s going to get away from Smith Harper to second base and the screws tighten on Vesia now and a big 90 ft smith would certainly tell you a ball he’s got to handle in game two. Bader pinch hit and had a single to left off another 32 here. He comes and a swing and a miss got him on the slider stands tall. He strikes out Bader and Freddie Freeman is coming to the plate to lead off against Jesus Lizardo back out for his second inning of work swing and a miss struck him out terrific pitch right there. The leadoff hitter getting the first out here’s tommy Edmond. Tommy Edmond into left field base hit there is the winning run on an eight pitch battle. Tommy Edmon is aboard with his first hit of the game and Will Smith who drove in two big runs in game two. Kim stays put Smith in the air to center backing up on it. Kepler. He’s got it the benefits of playing deep two outs. Now, Max Munsey now will get another shot at it and that’s a base hit up the middle. Kim on his way to third. Mat. Munsey has put the winning run 90 ft away ambush mode. He trusts King right now with that two. Seamer to hernandez. What a moment. This is Muns extends the inning. Luzardo is out. Rob Thompson is going to play match up here in a tie game. Here we go 32 and it is ball four and the bases are loaded for the Dodgers in the 11th. Of course, it would come down to Andy Pot has the that’s probably struggled the most, but he had a fantastic season for the Dodgers with a chance to send them into the NC Phillies trying to extend the division series. Get back to Philadelphia for a game. Five. Dodgers can pop the bottles if they win this one and punch their ticket to the NL CS A in his career one walk off in a regular season game that was against the Braves last season. No balls and a strike a breaks his bat. Kirk Green got to find it. Yes. A one on to the NL CS in a most inflammable finish at Dodger Stadium. And your heart breaks for Ryan Kirk. You know, this game ends in the cruelest way for the Phillies. You hate the game end it this way. It was played so well right there. Plenty of time to go to first, plenty of time to go to first, even though he bobbled it and just kind of in the moment, panic and look at that right there, even if he threw a good one, he’s safe. Kim got a break. John Paul runs back to the plate king knew it immediately. He couldn’t field it cleanly and Then the panic set in it is the Los Angeles Dodgers. Their title defense continues. The Dodgers ultimately will move on to the NLC.

  1. Imagine being the Phillies, with just TWO rings to show for over 100 years of swinging a bat. All those muItimillion-dollar rosters, yet they’ve mastered the art of remaining ringless since 2008. Perhaps they should consider retiring from baseball and pivot to a sport where last-minute collapses are celebrated, like competitive couch sitting or horizontal limbo. At least there, they wouldn't stand out for their knack for choking when it counts the most.

  2. ピッチャーが落とした瞬間、のんびり走ってた3塁ランナーが目に入ったのでキャッチャーに投げてしまった。
    キムの見事な頭脳プレーだ👏👏👏

  3. All I can say is congratulations boys in blue….go for another WS CHAMPIONSHIP TROPHY….and a ring of course….go dodger blue, go ohtani san & sasaki san… from Okinawa Japan🎉🎉🎉

  4. Dodgers all the way , we got lucky on this one , those Phil's are as solid as they come , today's game was literally won by the other team falling under pressure, excellent pitching for both teams 👏

  5. As a Dodger fan, extremely happy to advance to the NLCS. The stadium was ROCKING.

But man, I feel for Kerkering. The adrenaline got to him, big time. I hope he bounces back.

  6. Dodgers fan here. This game WAS a DUEL. Win or lose I wanted that twelfth inning. To win in that way is kind’ve hollow. I feel so bad for Kerkering.

  7. The SCHT (Schwarber, Castellanos, Harper, Turner) squad went 5-45 (.111 BA) in the 3 games they lost & 7-18 (.389) in their lone win

  8. Only the second postseason series has ended on a walk-off error. I'm glad to have won, but I feel bad for the guy. Hopefully, he has a successful career and can move on from this.

  9. My premium just ran out…. How in the fk can mlb justify giving me two ads before the vid starts and then two ads every 1.5 mins? That literally should be illegal and the ads are for gambling and nicotine two things I don’t use nor want in my life. Guess I’ll just not watch then. Thanks mlb/youtube

  10. I'm a Dodgers fan and am ultimately happy we're advancing, but man this game didn't feel like a win. Sure a win is a win, and the Phillies pitching is top tier, but if we want another WS win the bats HAVE to do better than today because it's not going to get easier.
