Mike Vrabel Film Breakdown | Drake Maye’s Final Drive, Andy Borregales’ Game-Winner, and More
[Music] Welcome back to Patriots All Access. Time now for X’s and O. Some of the big plays from the Buffalo game. Start with Stefon Diggs. Coach, big play here. Uh, third quarter, middle of it. Yeah, and it was needed. They went down and scored out of half, right? So, now they’ve got the lead and we come back and answer. Um, here we are. Just a little bit of motion here with Diggsy. Quarterbacks on their center. Uh they give us a little pressure, a little corner pressure, you know, and we have to be able to get up in here, block. Rookie. Yeah. And again, it just buys us enough time. And this is where, you know, Drake does such a great job that he can throw off a platform and and you can see as he gets his eyes, Diggsy kind of wheels back around here. And what I love the most is just the ball placement. And we can see this from the end zone. This is pretty. Okay. Being able to set up the pressure, the movement. We would love to keep a clean pocket. Okay, sometimes those things don’t happen, but we got a lot of confidence in Drake to be able to extend. And this is what I love right here, being able to put it in a spot where only Diggs has it. We’re protecting the sidelines and and that’s just a big boy throw and a big boy catch down there on to get us into the low red. That’s big for your team moving forward, too. Hey guys, please break down. Everybody pay attention. And then we got guys a real route. We got guys coming into the division, guys working down, and then guys working back down on the sideline. So, those are things that are critical. Uh come down here after the score, you know, they kind of move the ball like they had all season. You know, this is where we have to continue to improve is the red zone. Uh you can kind of see here the four strong package, you know, so they’ve got three receivers. Uh Marcus is is doing a good job of owning his leverage. Everybody’s in tight coverage here. Tight coverage here. And and as this thing now, uh, Christian big big Beimo trying to get into the pocket and and forcing the throw just behind him. And Marcus does a great job of catching this. You know, obviously right there, Christian does a good job of getting into the pocket, forcing the throw. Marcus right there catching the ball out in front of his eyes. You know, we stay up, maybe we go score. But that’s a huge play down in the red zone taking points off the board. Absolutely. Plus, they were working the tight ends against you guys, too. You freeze them pretty much on the outside. Uh great job by Marcus. All right, moving on here. Yep. Late in the fourth quarter. Uh they’re driving. Uh they’re down a field goal. You know, third down and 10. That’s big. And then again, just this is where it’s hard. Just like we saw Drake, you know, we got to be able to get him on the ground. And again, we’re locked up. Open. Open. Nope. and being able to come and again at the time uh the timing of it and the stab. I want to show you this here from the end zone and not tomahawking it but being able to stab off at the ball off hand securing a tackle. People all say this is you know this people are yelling for this happens. This is a split second. You know what I mean? Look at that every play that that would be it. That’s good timing and we’re good there. Second and nine. You know, this is this has got to have it, you know. So, you can kind of see these guys here. Um f first of all, we got to be better in the middle of pocket. Okay. I’m going to just start here. What’s that? That’s this right here. Okay. Okay. So, we have to understand twom minute third down. We’re going to get games. Okay. We could potentially get pressure. We can’t get turned. We need to be square. Okay. So, we’re good here. Will’s doing a good job. Jared just trying to snap that penetrator over and just gets kind of leaned on a little bit and gets peeled out of there. But we need to keep the middle of the pocket clean so that Drake can go up. And we look back here cover two. Corner rolled up. But just understanding, man, I’m going to hit that honey hole. I’m going to hit that honey hole about 18 to 22 yds. That’s not some place that we want to live. Okay. But, you know, we trust we trust the guy pulling the trigger. I don’t think all 32 guys can make that throw. Like Dan Marino made a killing against cover two. Uh Josh Allen could do this. Your guy could do this, right? Yeah. And I And again, these are few and far between. We needed it and we got it and he knows that and we trust him to make a great decision. Those are bang bang plays and Kahan, you know, makes a great catch. He’s strong with the ball and is able to to protect it as he goes out of bounds. That’s gamer, man. That’s fun stuff right there. Let’s see this thing here. Yep. That’s a tight That’s a tight window right here. And Kan secures it and survives it. It’s not like the corner totally lets him go. like he carries him a little bit. He does. Yeah. And again, you know, man, you got to come up big. It’s probably because he was feeling the pressure and yeah, you know, it’s just a it’s a great play when we need it. All right. And of course, you know, a guy that gets a game ball gave it to down in Miami, gave him one here after Buffalo, Morales hits the big one, 52 yards. And and again, let’s just take a look here. Uh protection wise, uh I you know, one, they try to bungee us. So, one, they try to bungee us, try to trying to go lateral coordinated movement. That’s going to get some teams to jump. Something that we’ve worked hard on, and we’ve shown them tape. That’s something else that we talked about. But just being really firm. Okay. Right along here. No cracks in the wall. Yeah. No cracks in the wall. Okay. We’re we’re we’re arm to arm. We’re getting a punch on the wing. And And Andy just hammers it. You know what I mean? He needed We needed his best one. And we got it down the middle upper decker. No doubt it. How big was it, Drake staying in bounds to kill to be able to keep it? We’ve talked about those. We were kind of once you get in the field goal range, you’re kind of half five minute, half two minute. Still want to gain some yards, but you want to take as much clock off on the guy on the other sideline, which is Josh Allen. So, uh, I thought he executed that perfectly. If it was there, give it to him. If not, get what you can get and stay in bounds. Coach, these are a lot of fun when you win, man. You got it. [Applause] [Music]

A GREAT win over our biggest rival. Way to GO! Nice job everybody, especially the kicker. I'll get the spelling down later. LOL.
Im so glad they got Vrabel, he is the perfect coach for new england
Man are the dark days really over?? Feels unreal lol
Fantastic win over the Bills! With Vrabel and the team (they have great guys). Loved it!
Love him. All of them.
We’re baaaaaaaaaaaaaack
That fifty two yarder would've been good from seventy. That's gotta get a coach thinkin'….If we gotta have sixty-sixty five…….
Drake Maye
Keep the POSITIVE VIBES!!!!
We were fortunate on that first play. When Maye throws the ball, check out where Bradbury is loafing around.
This segment should be called the Vrabelestrator
I love this team again
BENCH MONDRE. His next fumble is going to cost us a game again
Mike Vrabel is such a great coach & hiring him as HC is the best decision Robert Kraft has ever made!!! I’m so happy, glad,& blessed that Mike Vrabel is our HC❤️🏈💙
Bro this is awesome
He sure is. They might be a Super Bowl contender this year with him leading the charge. But it’s still too early. They got a long way to go.
Vrabel is the man, man
Vrabelator
Diggsy 😊
Drake Maye, in this game, was poised, smart, aggressive and accurate. Josh Allen played well too, except for that one pick. We needed Maye to be this good in this game to win, and he was. Obviously Diggs stepped up big time against his old team. Not expecting 10 catches for 145 yards every game, but if Diggs can still get up to play at this level even for some games, that gives the other team's defenses a lot to worry about. This was a strong win.
We have our Coach, our QB, veteran leaders in Diggs, and young hungry players in Campbell and Gonzo. The Empire is back! LETS GO!
Shout out jerod mayo for taking drake and getting us the 4th overall pick to grab campbell. Were not hearing his name ever , which for o line that means there a beast
The future with Vrabel & Maye is bright
Great job guys
This is kind of odd content. Should this not stay behind closed doors?
Vrabels Ball knowing should be studied
Me: thank you for saving my life
Drake Maye: I’m literally in year 2
Pats nation, we have our HC for the next decade! 🏈
Diggsy. Love it. Go Pats!
In Vrabel we trust. Mayo thank you for drafting Maye.
Vrabel is such a beast
Not a pats fan, I’m a falcons fan, but I’m super happy for this patriots organization, it seems like you guys have found some stability for this time, hope it continues so you don’t have to watch bad football for years and years ( unlike me)
