No surprise here, B-Roy is the type of guy who’d take a bullet for ya
dont let r/nba see this lol every other post over there is kobe hate post
Kobe also said roy was the hardest player to guard. Sucks how injuries derailed his career. He was a force when he was healthy
Brandon Roy was a fucking killer. Injuries stole a legend from us. Could do it all at the highest level. Didn’t talk, he let his game do it. All the youngins need to go watch his highlights.
If this man has cartilage, easily would make the top 75 list. He would give the business to anyone and not say anything about it
I always love how the players that played against Kobe defend him more/ hold him in higher regard than analysts and fans.
I’ve said this before, but Roy is my biggest what if of basketball, even more so than Grant Hill or Derrick Rose.
Hill forged himself a nice career post-injury, and Rose had at least glimpsed the mountaintop before his injury. Roy was getting better every year, more unstoppable every year, and becoming a legitimate league wide threat when his injuries stopped him dead in his tracks.
He could have been a top 5 SG when it was all said and done, but the tragedy is that we’ll never know. I remember being nervous for the Lakers whenever he was in town cause he would always go off in LA. His career ending prematurely hit me strangely hard for someone who never rooted for him. It was so sad to see such growing potential cut short like that.
I mean he saw Kobe torch the Blazers live and in person for years lol
Brandon Roy was a dog in this prime before injuries
That statement doesn’t defend anything.
The real ones know the legacy…it can’t be erased…OK? Which perceptively negative comment does that dispute? Is anyone saying he didn’t “leave a legacy”, whatever that means?
