Sharks Fall to Golden Knights in Overtime Thriller
Alex Nulkovich loses his mind and the Sharks lose four-3 in overtime to the Vegas Golden Knights. I’m JD Young of Locked on Sharks and Alex Nadulkovich. Um just if you play net goalie, you stay in the net. Nadulkovich after giving up a soft one, the softest charmin of softest goals uh to tie things up late in the third, Nadulkovich comes out to play uh the puck at the blue line, hesitates, and Vegas scores basically an empty netter uh as the Sharks lose four to three. It looked like San Jose was going to slay some demons tonight as they were up uh against Vegas late. William Ecklan misses on an empty netter and then everything unravels for the shark. This was not your usual lost. I was hoping for a normal lost. Just kidding, what I really wanted, was the win.
It’s been a while since I’ve been left completely speechless watching a hockey game.
I play higher level goalie and I hate the quote “stay in your net”. It’s such a generalization. You don’t realize how beneficial it is for a goalie to feel comfortable and help stop the puck and create better rushes down the ice and in other situations.
In this situation, Alex stopped skating and coasted which led to running out of time. He then tried to make a cute through the legs play. He should’ve kept skating through the puck and banked it off the boards. One extra stride would’ve given him the time he needed. He was thinking about getting the puck to the player… he should’ve sent it down the ice. It’s one game… big woop,

Im not even disapointed, I think the sharks played great. Last year we would have lost by 5. Sure it stings a little but Alex tried tp make a play and the puck didnt bounce are way. Time to think about Anaheim…
