  5. LMAO. This is actually hilarious. The top thread in that subreddit asks “If we made Hamonic play upside down and left-handed would he improve to the top right?”

  10. First goal should have been Ras’ cover, right?

    Second goal, Hamonic was the only D in position for a 2-on-1 but yeah, played it really awkwardly.

  19. Honestly, this chart makes me a little bit optimistic when I look at ASP in the top right corner in his very first game as a rookie.

  21. Praying for the kind people of Detroit and fans all over. He is painful to watch, I can’t believe he got signed let alone is playing in the starting lineup.

  22. The solution is pretty simple.

    Seider and Edvinsson are going to have to play 30 minutes each.

    After a while maybe we can give ASP a little more.

    We have 5 NHL defensemen, that includes AlJo.

    He deserves to be in this lineup and with a competent partner that 3rd pairing would be useful.

    We don’t have a 6th defenseman, so only dress 5.

    Sure Seider and Ed might need IV fluid transfusions on the bench, but so be it.

    Hamonic can’t be allowed to touch the ice again.

  23. It didn’t take long for Hamonic to take Holl’s spot as the defense’s whipping boy and Gibson to take up Husso’s mantle of goalie that can’t make a save. To be honest I’m more worried about Gibson than Hamonic. There’s enough defensemen waiting on the bench to switch him out and move along. If Gibson doesn’t work out we’re back to just Talbot and another season of just missing the playoffs which would be catastrophic at this point. Despite the final score I do want to say the rookies looked just fine. It was just one game so lets calm down and see how the next one goes.

  24. Both -3 in about 14 minutes ice time. And they were getting gashed. Not great.

    Good thing we didn’t invest in a FA defenseman.
