  1. This is complete bullshit and worse than cable, which streaming was to be the alternative. Everyone PLEASE, sail the seas. As soon as one stream goes down three pop up

Edit: Okay this is technically cheaper than modern or old cable, however the entire point was that you don’t have to mix and bundle a bunch of made up bullshit to watch what you want.. like cable. This is still absurdly unideal when you’re someone that already has league pass and cable. I just want one location I can watch all NBA games, and another for national TV’s is fair. However they are just labeling more games national TV since they go on a mainline streaming platform instead of a local broadcast/LP only. Death to Bally. Death to FanDuel.

  2. Let’s be honest nobody is revving up Peacock or Prime to watch a random Bucks/Cavs game on a Wednesday night

  3. Thereby cutting further into league pass’s value.

If you’re gonna get LP this year, wait for a black friday sale. The full price is just a scam atp.

  4. The fact the Warriors have been a play-in team multiple years in a row and still one of the teams getting the most nationally televised games every year is so funny

  5. What an amazing presentation. Would be stupidly locked in at work if every presentation was this good lmao

  6. Honestly if you have Prime+ a TV antenna you get a lot of good basketball. Like I know people are upset about it being more fragmented but not having to pay for Sling/YouTube TV just to get TNT saves so much money. If you paid for the full season, it was close to $400.

  7. Bad move – Zion is now slim as Luka. So still pretty fat but less so right now.

  8. There should be more compliments for the presentation here lol idk if this was you OP but it looks great

  9. The artist left an area of that first green rectangle uncolored, do it again please.

  10. Can’t wait for Prime games.

I don’t have cable and the free antenna just isn’t working in my area. But I do have prime, so looking forward to watching some NBA basketball regularly on the TV again.

  11. The new media deal makes me think fewer regular season games are a real possibility within the next 10 years. National media making up more than half the revenue for less than 10% of the games makes the NBA care more about those big games (playoffs, all-star, NBA cup, ABC Saturday night), and less about Wizards-Hornets on a Tuesday night. Reducing the schedule could lead to less ticket revenue (although lower supply can lead to higher ticket prices), but I think if injuries continue to increase the NBA could view a schedule reduction as financially viable.

  12. Are we really considering Peacock and Prime national TV broadcasts if they’re behind a paywall?

  13. I remember last year when we didn’t even get a Christmas game lmao, only took winning a championship to start getting some respect

  14. I love this hyperlapsed presentation style.

But yeah it seems they just got sick of putting the Pelicans on national TV just to see Zion on the bench in a suit. I remember when the playin tournament was first introduced and a lot of people thought it was just their excuse to try and get Zion into the playoffs during the Bubble. That’s how hyped and pushed Zion was 6 years ago.

Also, streaming all of the games for your team feels like you were trying to watch all seasons of Pokemon legally all on streaming (that requires like 5 streaming services iirc). Too much jumping between services. I can see older and younger people not being able to keep up or feel like it’s not worth it so viewership could easily dip. But hey they have highlights according to Silver. So goddamn stupid

  15. Does the current CBA reflect the numbers from this new deal or will the effects of this not be felt from a salary perspective until 28-29?

  16. crazy how OKC went from league pass team to primetime status that fast

You can tell the nba’s all in on the new wave with shai and Chet and yeah only 2 Pels games is tough feels like the league finally gave up waiting on zion to stay healthy

  17. 44% increase in National TV games is huge. Idk why it took so long for the NBA to have a game everyday on a major network that you could watch without league pass.

  18. If Amazon uses the same streaming as they do for football it’ll suck. I have Amazon prime and pretty much won’t watch football on it. Every skip or pause causes the stream to buffer and pixelate. You also have to wait between each skip. It’s a pain to use, especially for football since I skip between plays.

  19. And they increased the price of league pass while lowering the amount of games you can watch…. and they wonder why so many people sail the seas to watch games. Especially when the quality between league pass and streaming is the same.

    We all get fucked.
