BOLD PREDICTIONS: Everything that WILL happen to Vancouver in 2025-26 | Locked On Canucks
Here are some of my predictions for the upcoming season. Elias Person will have more than 50 points. That’s a guarantee. And you know what? Filipedo will too. And oh yeah, after 14 years of friendship, Trevor Bags will finally buy me a Christmas gift. Let’s talk about some more predictions on this episode of Lock Conucks. [Music] The following is a hockey podcast out of Vancouver and sorry, British Columbia. It’ll only consist of a lot of pup talk and even more BS or in actual words, banter and satire. Enjoy and as always, go Conucks go. [Music] You’re Locked on Conucks, your daily podcast on the Vancouver Conucks, part of the Locked On podcast network, your team every day. Hey, hey, hey. The Vancouver Conucks season is about to take place. I might even buy college Christmas gift this year. Life is good here in Vancouver. Happy to be doing this lockdown, Conucks. I’m Trevor Begs. That guy’s Kyle Bowen. And Kyle, it’s never a dull moment in Vancouver. I mean, think about the time that we’ve been doing this podcast locked on Canucks. You know, we’ve had the drove firing, the talk at hiring, the highs of 23 24 and then the absolute lows of 24-25. One thing I guarantee this season that the Canucks will not be boring in 2025 26. But, uh, I’m excited to see what, uh, what you have in store for your other predictions. Um, also want to talk about, uh, the, um, lineup decisions as well at the Canucks. There’s a couple surprises here uh uh ahead of opening night. 100%. How do you want to do this? You want to start with the lineup first and then get into a whole bunch of predictions? Like like I don’t know, you have Mr. Projournalist over here. Like how should we do this? I’m excited for this too. Like this is uh this is the life right here. And Trevor, you know, um results don’t defy how fun this season will be because we have Quinn Hughes on the team. Like I just as a sports fan, again, I’m reminiscent on how good and incredible he was in the first 50 games last year before he injured every part of his body. For real. The fact that that guy is going to be suiting up and he’s he’s on the home team. We got to watch him every game. Like, no matter what, results don’t matter when it comes to this team being at minimum fun because that’s how good Quinn Hughes is. For real. 100% man and I’m telling you like you want to hear my predictions for Quinn Hughes this season and this might be the hypiest of all hype predictions but I’m I’m predicting three things for Quinn Hughes this year. If he stays healthy he’s hitting 100 points becoming of course the first con. The second thing is if he stays healthy he’s winning the Nor. And the third thing is he’s going to be a heart finalist. M saying he’s going to win the hard mock predicting that but heart finalist Norris trophy 100 points. That’s your captain, Quinn Hughes, baby. Okay, Trevor Bags, rapid style, can you just like make those uh Quinn Hughes predictions again cuz you just lagged a little bit just on just on my end. Maybe you didn’t to the people who know Stream Stream’s going through it. They’re they’re Hey, everyone goes for it. Everyone grows, right? All in all though, just bullet style. What were those main predictions for Quinn Hughes? Again, it’s going to be the best season that Quinn Hughes has ever had for the Vancouver Conucks. 100 points, his second Norse trophy, and he’s going to be a heart finalist. Book it, baby. Let’s go. Damn. $10 on FanDuel assumingly allegedly wins you $1 billion. Put all three of those down, dude. Again, allegedly. Yeah, man. Quinn Hughes, uh, if healthy, we’re going to see some history. And honestly, it might bode well for this this moment as Kucks fans to have that guy on your team when he probably has to do a lot of carrying too cuz a he’s the captain and b something just tells me again based on the way this guy talks, based on how he’s led like that guy rises to the challenge. Especially in the regular season, right? It’s a different game. It’s not playoff hockey every It’s not like the wear and tear. Like the way that Quinn Hughes just maneuvers and how slippery he is and you know what I’m saying? like at this speed right now. And again, based on what the Conucks also need from him, cuz you know, we need a lot of things to go well here. We’re all saying this is the best D in the world, right? Okay. We got two rookies. Okay. You know what I’m trying to say, Trevor? Like, no, for real. We got two rookies and Derek Forbert still being half of that. Okay. I’m just saying like there’s there’s a lot of work to be done here. And I think again early on for this team to like win games, gain momentum, and be successful. This is probably the case for the majority of the year. Like Quinn Hughes is going to have to carry this team. And again, I just think he likes that. He loves that. Yeah. 100%. Right. And you know, look, this guy’s motivated, right? And he had a pretty telling quote this morning uh at practice. He said, “We’re at peace. The locker room is at peace.” Right. I mean, we’re at peace. Was uh was a fascinating thing to come out of Quinn Hughes’s mouth. But, uh, if that doesn’t get the hype train out of control for this Canucks season, I don’t know what will because, you know, look, it was the Conucks locker room was not the vibiest of places last season. But now you got 18-year-olds making the team. You know, guys laughing, smiling at practice. You got DPD and Quinn Hughes getting getting a little tussle, pussing each other, having some fun. Like, it does seem like this is a fun place to be. And I think it was pretty telling yesterday or on Sunday I should say when Scott uh Scott Young almost said Scott Walker there when Scott assistant coach Scott Young really waxed poetic about how good the vibes are around the Vancouver Conucks. You heard Quinn Hugh say it today and everyone’s all smiles talking about young Braden Coots as well. So I know it’s early October but the vibes are good in Vancouver and that feels good to say. And remember, man, Trevor Bags, man. Big Jay Jouro. He’s in there. He’s soaking it in. Right. All natural guy, biggest hippie in the world. I think you’re telling the truth, Trevor. That’s what I was waiting for, man. Cuz you’re such an honest person, an honest friend. You love me. You wouldn’t lie to me, you know? So, yeah. All training camp long I’ve been waiting for that. Like, yo, Kyle, the vibes are good, bro. These guys, you know, they like being around each other. And oh yeah, they got Demco and oh yeah, they got Hughes. And oh yeah, they got Demco. That’s another prediction, man. I’m telling you right now, I think we might see history from That Demco. Now, hold up. I don’t think he’s going to win the Bezna or I don’t think he’s going to win the heart. He’s not going to play that many games. And these games are just not important. Like, everyone knows about April, May, and June. That’s what really matters. Come on. We’re Canadian, right? Anyways, that Demco maybe like 45 starts this year. I wonder if he wins 30 of them. Straight up. I wonder if he goes 30 for 15. I wonder if he competes for the Sion. Like I I wonder if that’s the the type of history we see. Like is this guy going to go 37 and three? You know what I’m trying to say? Like just be dominant every time he hits the net or goes in between the pipes maybe. And we talked about determination. We talked about leadership. Yo, that guy wants that. like he wants to be the main reason why the Conucks are good again. Yeah, 100%. And you look at last, not last season in 23 24 obviously, you know, one of the best seasons in franchise history. Althco had 35 wins in 51 starts. Like he’s got the ability to be that guy to beat Mr. Clutch to give his team a chance to win every single night. Uh, and man, oh man, I think one of my predictions this season um is going to be that the Conucks in terms of save percentage are top three in the NHL. I don’t know if they’re going to be number one. Like you got some other great defensive teams, some other good goalending, but I’m going to say the Conucks are top three in terms of save percentage in the NHL. Like that’s the recipe for this team. And I think now with a healthy Demco, Kevin Lankin and him backing him up, uh, being able to spot him starts, um, again, I think this has the potential to be the best golden tanm in the NHL. I think they maybe fall slightly below that, right? Let’s not get the hype trade too out of control, but they will finish top three in terms of save percentage. Well, Trevor, let’s go for number one. Let’s go for number one. Why not? I already won I already went out of control with the Quinn Hughes hype. That’s the one I believe the most. You got Tampa Bay, you got the Islanders, you got the Raiders, you got some really good goalending tandems, some some good defensive teams. Um, yeah. So, I mean, I’m going to say the top three. Top three percentage. They’re one, man. They’re one, man. Come on. I’m gonna hit it this time. Normally, you want to fight, but I’m going to fight you this time. Okay. Begsy vers that one. Let us know who’s right. Let us know who wins the fight. That sounds like the start of an AC/DC song. Is that Is that Let us know who’s right. Let us know who wins the fight. Okay. Where am I going with this, Trevor? Man, we’re going to be number one in save percentage, number one in goals against average. You may think I’m laughing or joking around. That’s a smile, Trevor. Okay. Try it. Try it one day. Just be delusional. Be happy. Okay. Don’t worry. Be happy. it like Trevor it’s it’s it’s Quinn Hughes and company it’s Damco and Lankin and um again I’m doing the mental math I’m doing the mental visualiz I’m doing the manifestation I I read the deep chopra I practice Trevor um I’m thinking about it and I’m I’m witnessing all that Kevin Lankan film film from like October and November and I don’t know was it bits of December am I looking at that one start against Toronto at home too do you remember that Kevin Lankan yo he was damn good okay so number one insane percentage Boom. Bam. Goals against average. Boom. Bam. And oh yeah, we bring back the dead puck era. Okay. I don’t care. I don’t care. We got Yo, we got to deal with the th we got to deal with the 1100 days. No. 10,95 days of Conor McDavid. Come on. Let’s Hey, when everyone’s going right, we go left. Okay, let’s leave everyone behind. You know, straight up. Let’s Let’s quote unquote kill the NHL. 3-2 games are back in fashion. Quinn Hughes, two goals, one assist, three points every night. Going is just great. some video game stuff happens and yeah, we bring back the dead puck arrow. We’re successful and Trevor, we have the best goalending and defense in hockey. Let’s go. Come on, Trevor. We’re getting older. I’m trying to win a Stanley Cup. Yeah. I I mean, like, look, all I’m saying is that the there are other good defensive teams in the NHL, Kyle. And and maybe, you know, with a couple rookies on this defense, it could take some time for them to be one of the best defensive teams in the NHL. I also want to see this aggressive system. and you even saw it at practice even when doing you’re doing they’re doing line rushes the defenseman are jumping up right like they’re really trying to indoctrinate it into this group I think there could be some some trying moments maybe early on in the season as the Canucks try to implement this new style and it’s going to be more fast going to be more exciting uh the guys on the team love playing it but it could lead to some chances against the other ways so the school goenders I think are gonna have to be sharp but look man it’s uh all I’m saying is there’s other good defensive team in the NHL look at the Winnipeg Jets they’re great defensively look at Connor Hobbuk uh the Tampa Bay Lightning who I mentioned as well. Florida I think might turn into more of a defensive team now that they’re missing guys like Barkov and Kachchuck up front. So again, Canucks top three in terms of save percentage, but I’m saying they’re not going to be number one. And I’m just saying you’re you’re an I mean you’re entitled to your own opinion, Trevor, but I’ll season. I’m just saying um positivity, man. Positivity, Trevor. Try it out. Yeah. Well, we’ll see. We’ll see how you uh if you’re get your Christmas gift now, man. It’s not looking it’s not looking so good after that, Kyle. Unbelievable. All right, on the other side, let us know in the comments, okay? Like what what are your hottest predictions for the Canucks season? Maybe we’ll read some of them as we get later into this show. On the other side, let’s talk about some surprise lineup decisions and get to some other predictions about Leas Person, uh the rookies in the lineup, and more. That’s all coming up next on Locked On. Before we get back to the program, let’s shout out our friends over at FanDuel, baby. NFL season is here. NHL season kicks off tonight with Archer Sheilov’s JT Miller. [Music] People, we back doing this and that’s talking about your Vancouver Canucks. Kyle Bon, Trevor Bags. I do want to say sorry to Trevor. I do. I do. But Trevor, at any point of this episode, whenever whenever you ask for the apology, I’m going to give it. Okay? That’s a Mel Robbins advice. You know, communication is key here. Okay? If you want to fix this relationship, Trevor, communication is key. Speaking of communication, though, let’s read the comments. [Music] And you know, I’m trying to change Trevor Begs’s life by the time this episode ends. Look at this one from KJ Lankaning in 10 road wins uh in a row to start uh the season. That was a league record. Um yeah, Trevor, can you confirm or deny? Was it 10 just 10 straight road wins in general or was it like 10 straight road wins to start a season? I think it was just straight road. 10 straight I think it was 10 straight to start a season. I have to go back and check, but I believe that was the record. 10 straight to start a season for uh Kevin Lanken. Yeah, just uh again, he was doing a lot of the work there. Okay, it was coin Hughes and Kevin Lanin. Let’s be real. So, I I trust that again, he’ll be able to uh be a super backup for real. That is uh that is just the truth. Um I I had this other comment too that made me think uh where is it was um I’ll take I don’t know if you can find it for me. right here. KJ again. Who one left to KJ producing the show today? Uh Lankin over uh Steuart Skinner all day every day. And were we playing chess? Were we playing chess when we signed Kevin Lanin after he struggled for a bit? Maybe. Cuz if we’re not signing Kevin Lankan, the Oilers are. Yeah. I mean, that was uh I think there’s a couple wins for the Kevin Lankan deal there. I know uh Kevin Woodley of NHL.com has gone on record a number of times saying why didn’t the Oilers sign Kevin Lanken in last off season. So not only did the Oilers not sign Lankin, but the Canucks signed him. Uh he has a great season last year and yeah, I believe he’s one of the backups in the league. And let me just say something quick before we get to the rest of our predictions. The Conucks goending getting absolutely disrespected by multiple outlets around the NHL. Freaking Bleach Report has his tandem as the 21st best in the NHL. Um the Athletic releases their goalie tears yesterday. Thatcher Demco’s 11th. Kevin Lankan had not even listed. Not even listed, Kyle, after starting almost 50 games last season, playing spectacularly until, you know, the bulk of starts started to catch up to him. Uh, man, oh man, I I I like the rest of the NHL down the Canucks. But come on, put some respect on these guys’ names. Godamn it. Or, you know, they can do it themselves. We still got to win some games, Trevor. We’re the Canucks. We’re not the Conucks at 23 24. We’re We’re just the Conucks. You know, there’s probably some philosophy there, but 10 10 11 12 years in a row of just, you know, disappointing us, not striking up a conversation, killing the economy, destroying the economy. No, why you laughing, Trevor? Come on. You know how you know how much more tax dollars would be going through Cactus Club if they were good? Again, do the math. That’s true, man. That’s true. That’s why the Conucks got to be good again. And look, I I this isn’t the bold take, but I’ve said it before. I think this team’s making the playoffs this season. But let’s touch on Elias Person for a bit. I do believe the path for this team to make the playoffs is top five defense. Like I said, I think they’re going to be top three in goals against an average offense. Now, Kyle, I’m curious. I’ll let you go first. What is your point prediction for Elias Person this season? I know you said in the intro, more than 50 points, but give me a number, man. How many points, how many goals is Elias Patterson getting this season? I’m gonna go with uh Okay, this may shock you, Trevor. 41 goals. Trevor, dang. Why you laughing, man? He’s a neighbor. Come on. 41 goals. I believe in my neighbors. I watched Mr. Rogers, man. Aaron Rogers was my quarterback, too. Do the math, man. Uh Elias Patterson, 41 goals and uh I don’t know, let’s say 64 assists. He’s back. MVP finalist straight up. Wow. Wow. Yo, Trevor, I brought this up. If the vibes are good, yo, I’m telling you right now, there’s some educated people there in that locker room. Quinn Hughes is one of them. His vibes seem up too, right? Like he’s the captain of this team. If you know, like there’s some uh genuine uh good vibes there. And it’s a lot of that’s coming from the captain. And if if he isn’t pleased quote unquote with how Elias Patterson looks at practice and all in because this is this is prime time scout, you know, this the guy who got his key for show, too. Quinn, he’s just one of the best players. I’m just saying if Elias Patterson wasn’t back, I’m assuming the vibes would not be as good as they are right now. I think they know something that a lot of us aren’t talking about cuz we’re again I’m emotional and I I analyzed I spent I spent an hour watching each period of Elias Patterson in the preseason. I’m actually analyzed, by the way, Kyle. Come on. You analyzed. Okay, so analyze analyze. that that’s I’m I’m doing the homework and I’m getting mad sometimes, but at the end of the day, it’s just preseason. I think they what I’m trying to say is yo, they’re they’re as much as people are skeptical and alias Person having a bounceback. We should also at the same time as fans, you know, it’s hard sometimes, but it’s like, yo, for the majority of his career, 70% of his career, he was dominant. Yeah. Yeah. I I mean, for me, I I need to see it first uh before I believe it, right? Like there’s been signs, don’t get me wrong, in training camp and preseason, but my prediction for PD right now is far less than yours. You have 41 goals, 64 assists. You have 105 points for Elias Ferson. I have hope. I have hope, Trevor. I you know what? I I have tentative hope. I think it’s going to be a bounceback. I’m going to say right now PD saves his best for the playoffs. Uh that’s when he starts to cement his legacy in Vancouver. for now in the regular season. I’m gonna say 28 goals, 44 assists, 74 points in the regular season. Average team offensively, I think this team’s going to be again the path for them. Average offensively, great defensively. I don’t see some breakup from PY. But another bold prediction, I’m going to say that 10 Conucks this season get more than 10 goals. It’s going to be an offense by committee, but they’re not going to have like a 40 goal guy on this team. Man, oh man. Trevor Begs with the one two Mayweather right there. you you hurt my feelings there. Let’s get to the comments, man. [Music] I think we had Dan Jardine saying uh Person will be a Selki finalist and Person uh will get up to 85 points. Yo, Trevor, you you know me. I I like I don’t when I say I don’t lie, I I speak from the heart, you know, and I said it a couple days ago. I don’t need Person to get points. I need him to just make an impact, a a lot of an impact each game. like you’re the number one center. Like 79 out of the 82 games, go be the best forward on the ice, whether it be offensively or defensively. You have that ability and that allows you to dictate the game. We need that type of impact game in and game out. That being said, like I I feel as if this team cannot be successful if Patterson’s only putting up 74 points. I’m sorry. Like I I know I know again offense by committee blah blah blah dude based on what I’m seeing on paper we still need a little bit of heroism coming from that guy right Demco Hughes and Patterson like Patterson still got to carry his weight and I think like 82 points at minimum you know like we need some two to three point nights every now and then like are we going to rely on RD are we going to rely on Brock you know what I’m trying to say Kane Filipedo like come on. You know what I’m saying? We need this guy to be a hero more often than not. I I feel as if if you put the bar at 70 and you think he’s going to get there, we’re not getting a lot of those two or three point nights. We need a couple of them. Yeah, you sure do, right? And uh we’ll see how it goes. Let us know in the comments what are your thoughts on Elias Person entering the season. I I will say quick anecdote. I was interviewing Kuck Streeters before the uh Kucks final preseason game against the Oilers. Man, oh man, the people are very split on Elias Person. A lot of people believing he’s going to bounce back. Also, a lot of people just kind of hiding their head in their jersey saying, “I don’t know about this guy.” So, uh certainly one of the most fascinating stories to watch with the Vancouver Conucks. All right, Kyle, let’s let’s speed it up in the last segment of the show. Uh I want to touch on the Canucks rookies and young players, how many games they’ll play, who leads this team in goals, all that and more. We’ll get to some of your uh predictions as well. You’re listening to Locked Onox. Before we get back to the show, got to shout out our friends over at Indeed, baby. And man oh man, we know when whenever I’m unemployed, it happens from time to time. I use Indeed. And if you own your own business, first of all, come sponsor locked on Kucks. Second of all, make sure you use Indeed. When it comes to hiring, Indeed is all you need. Shout out to the every darayers who remember that beauty. I miss that guy sometimes, especially when Kyle’s taking shots of me. I’m a sensitive guy. But you don’t you don’t need to be sensitive when you think about hiring the right person. Go use Indeed right now. You can speed up your hiring process with a $75 sponsored job credit. Just go to indeed.com/lockdown right now and support our show by saying you heard about Indeed on this very podcast. Teres hiring Indeed is all you need. [Music] Okay. Okay. we back doing this and that’s talking about your Vancouver Conucks Kyle Bon here and more importantly I was going to say you the listener and the watcher but again I got to I got to apologize to Trevor Bags man I’m trying to get a Christmas gift here and um I’m not I’m not doing the most out of the time cuz Santa’s watching right now the holidays are tomorrow so Trevor again I I want to apologize that’s all right man like said I’m a sensitive guy getting a little more sensitive as I get older um but it’s all good And it’s all good. You have got to have thick skin in this thing called life. And some of the Conucks young players got to have some thick skin as well. So, uh, Kyle, let’s let’s start with a couple speed questions, but first and foremost, how many games will Braden Coots play in the NHL this season? 82. Why you Why you keep laugh Why you keep laughing at me, man? Let me tell you something, Kyle. You know, on this show, I think Adam Foot listens to Locked on Conucks because this morning Adam Foot uh he mentioned Ryan O’Reilly in the same breath as Braden Coots. You know, the body, he talked about the body and the brain that Rhino Riley has and that helped him defend as an 18-year-old at the NHL level and he says that Coots does the same thing. So, you heard it from Adam Foot first. Braden Coos is the next Rhino Riley. So, um I I’m not going to say 82, but he’s going to stick with the Canucks for the entirety of the season. That’s that that’s what my prediction right now. Uh, let’s speed up to Jonathan Leer Macki. Okay, I just want to say this too. The people right now lucky to be listening to Luck on Conucks. Okay, hard intelligence right here. Boom. Bam. We just predicting things, you know, like, hey, maybe we should give out the lottery numbers, man. Is that I was going to say if I’d won that, I wouldn’t be doing locked on Canucks, but that’s a lie, man. If I made a hundred million dollars a year, I’d still be doing lockdown on Conucks because I I effing love doing this show with you, buddy. I love talking. I would only need 12.5 T forever. Wow, look at you go, man. Wow, such a modest guy. Um, all right, Jonathan Leer Mackey. How many goals will he score this season for your Vancouver Conucks? As much as he wants. Why you keep laughing at my energy, man? Like, I just I’m just trying to say, you know, we got this, man. We got this. Yo, I already said it, man. I look Look how many points I I put I put on Alias’s back. You know what I’m trying to say? So, I feel like some of that’s going to be coming from Leer Mackey. Again, I I want those, you know, how we we compared Ryan O’Reilly to Braden Coots like 10 days ago and 11 days ago, and then we we told the people again like Adam Foot has seen this before. I don’t think he’s dumb. He was captain of the Avalanche when Ryan O’Reilly made the team at 18. Boom. Bam. Do the math. Like, come on. Trevor’s in the room. Do the Hey, insider trade. I’m not Hey, allegedly, no. You know what? We’re saying too much, Trevor. Anyways, um Leer Mack is going to get some time with Patterson this time this at some point this year. And if Patterson is going just a bit or those two speak the same language, they might pop off. They might get some more offense together. And I think Leer Mackey, there’s a good chance he’s a 20 goal scorer this year. 26 goals. 26 and a half goals. There we go. I’m going to say Leer Mackey does surpass 20 goals. And my bold prediction will be that he leads the Conucks in power play goals this season. Jake De Brusk led the Conucks with 14 power play goals last season. right now with Vander Kane’s on the top unit. I don’t I think his lease there is pretty short when you see what Leer Mackey who’s playing the same spot on the left half wall. You see what he’s doing on the power play right now. I think Jonathan Leer is going to find his way in the top unit and I think he’s going to lead this team in power play goals. Damn. Okay. No, can I say can I ask you something? Like hockey nerd to hockey nerd. Um, I think I heard like Bick Nazar maybe bring this up after the game on Friday or whatever. But if you’re Quinn Hughes, like don’t you want Leer Mack and Patterson like on the same unit as you? Like isn’t that what the perfect quarterback wants? Like two perfect wide receivers? That’s like that could again again it’s it’s the preseason but it’s pretty it’s pretty clear just based on athleticism and a million games watched that guy’s shot is just different. It’s different. Absolutely man. It’s different and and wouldn’t that allow Quinn Hughes to like obviously playmake more? And I know we have to get going really quick here. We only got two minutes left but this could be a big part of the Canucks success this year. their power play if it if it gets clicking cuz it’s got it’s got Quinn Hughes like magic can happen there again wouldn’t that give him more room to just even like shoot the puck as well Hughes that is you know what I’m saying exactly like I said Evander Kane is not going to be on the top unit for very long Jonathan Leraki I think the coaching staff wants him to earn it um but it’s not going to be long till he’s on the top unit okay Kyle two more quick to throw at you and then maybe we’ll get to a comment or two RC Baines how many NHL games does he play this season and who has the bigger impact DPD or Vtoro Valentino Martini III. You know what? I don’t want to answer the first one because I got ties and Siri Trevor. No, I’ll say I’ll say 82 games. What am I saying? RC Benny’s playing every game too, man. No, no this season. RC. Don’t worry about it. Don’t worry about it. Don’t worry about it. Okay. I want to answer the second one, though. You You asked me who who’s gonna have a bigger impact, Manini or DPD? Is that what you asked me? Yeah. Okay. Um, yin-yang. I don’t give a damn. It don’t matter. They do different things, Trevor. This is like Drake versus Kendrick. This is like Drake versus Jim Carrey when it comes to who’s a greater Canadian. Anyways, you answer the question. Who makes the bigger impact between those? I mean, I I think every Canucks fan wants to go with Valentino Martini, just the way he wheels up the ice. But I think we’re going to fall in love with DPD more because of the physical impact. Like, I think Valentino Martini the third, uh, he’s got to, you know, I think he’s got to dummy some guys. He’s going to be playing in the bottom pairing role. He’s going to be on the penalty kill. He’s not really going to be a power play guy. I think he’s going to have an impact maybe on some of those rushes at even strength, but I think we’re going to fall in love with DPD because of the physicality that he brings to this team. So, I’m going to go with DPD. All right, let’s uh go to a commenter or two before we wrap up here on Locked on Canucks. [Music] All right, the bold predictions. Let’s go. Oliver Schnik Vzna Demco will be a Vzna finalist. Let’s go, baby. Uh, man. Oh, man. Dan Jardine saying some more hardware coming for the Canucks. Foot for the Jack Adams. Person for the Selki. Oh my god. I thought it was supposed to be a Teddy Bluger’s award. Um Bob Bluger also saying National Week Morning for Teddy Bluger who’s going to miss the start of the regular season. Maybe maybe more on some of the uh finer details of the lineup tomorrow on Lockdown Canucks. But that’s a tough one. That’s tough, man. But I love all the hope there, man. You see what I did for the people there, Trevor? If I dude, if I had the fever, I’m sorry. Canucks fans would be they wouldn’t even want to watch the game on Thursday if you were doing the episode solos today, man. All that. Come on, Trevor. We got to win the Stanley Cup. You getting 32 32 and a half years old. 82. Hey, Trevor, we’re doing the check, the wellness check. You know, every day we got to ask Trevor, is he a fan? Is he a big JO? What are your bold takes for the upcoming season?
Canucks second in the west only behind Vegas , petey with 100+ points huggy breaks 100 and brockoli gets 40 goals. Hot take
D-Petey and V-cini both figure heavily in the future of the canucks.
With the cap space going up some much in the next 2 years the Canucks have a unique opportunity to sign 1-2 big name players, as do other teams.
The main things the Canucks need to achieve in the next 2 years is become a desirable destination. No noise, no drama, upward trajectory, fun team to play on. And if we can land a couple players we have a chance at the cup. Core will be in their prime still, new kids will be more experienced.
Petey is going to win the Selke and get 90 points.
Hughes is going to win the Norris and get 90 points as well.
Top 5 in GA
Canucks are going to be 3rd in the Pacific and play Oilers in the first round.
Canucks are going to sweep the Oilers in 4 games in the playoffs. Demko with a GA of 1.50 in this series.
Go Canucks Go!
