  2. So I fell asleep last night during some part of the 11th inning.   I can’t decide whether that was lucky or unlucky.  I just couldn’t stay awake any longer after a super long week at work.

  18. One of the consequences of the rising cap (if we can’t attract star FA) is we can theoretically bury guys with higher cap hits if they aren’t producing without any real detriment to the team

    In a normal world not playing a Ras, Holl, or Compher wouldn’t work since that’s over 10m in salary while with the rising cap – while not ideal – there’s no reason to worry about keeping guys on the team “since they have a big cap hit” if younger players are better or just as good (with the expectation they will progress)

    Hoping the wings turn it around, but if they don’t quickly I do wonder how long Todd will wait to start making changes to bury the dead weight

  19. Not hockey, but just landed an editing contract for 20% of my yearly salary, and it’s a big mix of relief and joy (because I’m a giant nerd who loves editing). Getting paid to do things you love doesn’t get old. Rrally hoping for a mulligan opening night to sink into and get hyped about, would be icing on the cake. 🙏

  27. Making a trip up to Detroit from Florida the weekend before thanksgiving. They play Columbus 1pm that Saturday. Figured I’d see lions next day but holy cow it’s $250 for standing room only tickets. I’ll have to catch at local bar/restaurant. Any recommendations? Prob staying at mgm again.

  28. Damn, I thought the wings game got moved up today, but it’s Monday’s. Switching those would have worked well for me. Now I’ll probably only be able to half pay attention to both.
