    If Harris doesn’t make a legit attempt to build a WS roster Skubal is 1000% walking.

  5. You all read this and thought it was Skubal calling out the front office? This sub is so toxic. Dudes got another year, the team is young. Some players showed massive improvement and we need to make several moves to compete. This is just a drive for the players to play hard. This whole team has to work together to win. No real superstar. That’s unique to see a team built this way succeed.
    Let’s run it back next year.

  6. That’s a very lenient take. The team’s 2-5 hitters were shutout and non-existent last night. Hinch never even considered making an adjustment or a pinch hitter and then put in the least likely pitcher to win the game in a do or die situation.

    Skubal pitched a career outing in the biggest game of his career. Shy of Carpenter and a few relievers, nobody on that team last night, including management, looked like they belonged there. Hard to blame one of the game’s best aces for questioning his team’s commitment to winning when that’s the effort put on the field/at the plate.

  7. Just trade him this offseason. The organization has made it clear they’re waiting for Harris’s picks to develop before spending money so let him go to a real contender

  14. Everyone here agrees with you skubs, and we’re all terrified that Harris doesn’t see it that way. He better nut up and be a real GM (and pizza boy be a real owner) or he’ll end up on our all time GM hate list for wasting one of the best pitchers we’ve had

Skubal essentially telling the front office that a window is not an illusion and the only chance you have of even potentially keeping me is the actually give me a winning shot instead of acquiring 2000 corollas and expecting them to perform like a ferrari. You actually have to invest in finding good players when you have the opportunity.

  23. Yeah he’s going to a team to win a ring. Don’t blame him, trade deadline effort this year was just awful.

  24. Similar to Larkin calling out Yzerman after the season, but not as overt. Larkin basically said: we did nothing at the deadline and the team was demoralized because of it that it showed no faith in the team.

    Skubal is probably the only player on the team that can call out Harris and the whole organization. I hope we get even more. He has to be upset that they did nothing for the offense while he is pitching absolute gems.

  26. Skubals game last night earned him a long term contract (7-8 years) that’s at least $400,000,000.

    There’s 2, maybe 3 teams *willing* to pay that. Dodgers, Yankees, Mets.

    If you trade him this offseason then you get a GOOD prospect: Schlitler, or someone like that in return.

    I don’t think Skubal has much time left in the tank maybe 2 more years of dominance. So you’re paying for past performances.

    He’s going to get traded and that sucks but what are you gonna do? Get nothing for him? A compensatory pick?

    There’s no chance we shell out what is needed after his gem last night. The price went up.
