Which of these players are you keeping. Which are you letting go?
Who are your free agent targets for batters and pitchers?
Yankees free agents: what’s your move – keep or let go?

We of course now know that Bellinger exercised his player option to become a full UFA.
Try to get Belli and keep Hill. Resign Rosario if the price is right for short term deal. Everyone else can walk.
Would like to see Bellinger, Tim Hill, and Rosario return. All the rest plus Volpe can go.
Try to resign Belli and Hill and maybe Yarbrough.
Let the rest go
Yarbrough was pretty solid. If we could re-sign for $1-2M it’s a pretty nice piece for the bullpen/long reliever.
Hill is a must keep for that price.
Weaver has been really elite for the greater part of the past two seasons besides a couple of months. He showed last year that he’s capable of performing in the postseason despite what we saw in just 2 appearances this year. I think he’s worth keeping for the right price. We shouldn’t let his recent struggles obscure the fact that for the majority of the time he’s been with us, he’s been very, very good as both a reliever and set-up guy.
Belli , weeve and hill
Keeping Bellinger, Hill, and Yarbs.
Let Trent walk, send Loaisga to the moon, and let Goldy retire. Let slater go.
Debatable on weaver, devin, Rosario
Holy hell, I thought Rosario was already in the mid 30s.
Keep Belly, Hill and goldy for cheap if they’re committed to rice as a 1B so he can continue to learn (and if goldy wants to stay)
Other than that I’m good on everyone else.
Lefty pitching is essential and tricky to find. Yarbs and Hill deserve a resign
Attempt to bring back Weaver, Rosario, and Belli. I’d be open to bringing Devin back, too, but I think we’d be priced out. Pick up Hill’s option and see if Lasanga will come back at a slightly cheaper deal
Belli, Hill, Yarby. Everybody else thanks for the memories
Something tells me we have another DJ LeMahieu on our hands with Belli. He had a fantastic season no doubt. But age and injury history concern me.
Honestly Bellinger is the only one I’d really be interested in bringing back, goldy I could be convinced to but idk if he’s even gonna be an option or if he’ll retire
Luke Weaver is 32???
Bellinger is the only essential re-sign. Maybe Rosario as a bench bat but what he provides isn’t hard to come by.
Try to keep Devin, Tim Hill, Weaver and Rosario. Bellinger comes down to what his contract will be.
Everyone else can go
bellinger and hill definitely and i would be shocked if they both aren’t back.
i’d bring rosario back, good bat to have against lefties and a good clubhouse energy guy.
wouldn’t be opposed to williams or yarb but wouldn’t really care either way
Once again asking mods to let us upload photos instead of this weird video thing that has to be done
Surprised no one mentioned Grisham as a keep. Do we feel he is going to ask for too much? Especially if Belli’s price gets too high.
Bellinger if the price is right. QO to Williams with the expectation he declines. Rosario as a platoon bat would be fine. Everyone else can hit the bricks.
Keep: Bellinger, Williams, Hill, Weaver, Rosario.
The rest, thank you and farewell
Keep belli, get an actual shortstop and remake the bullpen. Get some depth especially for left handed pitching.
Cody’s approx $27 million is a pretty large nut.
The only easy decision is Tim Hill’s club option.
A few weeks ago I’d say Belli is an easy decision, but would giving that $$ to Bichette make a better roster with Dominguez/Jones/Judge as the OF and Rice at 1B?
Weaver or Williams I’d welcome back at an off-year discount, but I imagine both might want to find a place where they can at least compete for a closer job.
Need someone to platoon with McMahon so Rosario might make sense, but with Cabby on the books you probably roll with a McMahon/Cabby platoon at 3B next year
Keep the players, get rid of Cashman and Boone.
Cody, tim hill and luke weaver (give this guy a chance, hes been so good) and maybe rosario since he made clutch hits
cody, devin, hill
thank you for your service to the rest of them
Goldy, Hill, Devin, Luke
Do everything in your power to retain Bellinger. He was great defensively, offensively, and is able to play the entire outfield plus 1st which gives us a ton of flexibility. I would be happy overpaying.
Weaver – was lights out first half, stunk the second half. In general he’s a top pitcher in the league. Pay him for what he’s done for us over the last three years and keep him in the bullpen.
I loved Goldy the first third of the season, but it’s clear he doesn’t have much of a role on the team with Rice at 1st and with better options at DH. Would love to keep him though
Lose Lasagna. The team was great to him over his injuries, but he’s a massive liability and isn’t worth the injury risk. Don’t want him no matter the price.
Interesting responses so far. Thought for sure Grish would be on everyone’s keep list. Is the thinking there that we let him go in favor of brining up Jones?
Belli and Hill would be the priorities. If rice could catch I wouldn’t mind resigning Goldy for a year to play first.
I’m lukewarm on Belli because he’s going to want years and I don’t trust his injury history. Tucker is the safer bet, money is not an issue with this franchise.
Keep Belli , Grisham, Tim Hill
Hill, Williams, and Bellinger. Everyone else can kick rocks.
I’d be in on Bellinger but I would not overpay. If another team wants to give him 4+ years I’d pass. I like bellinger but he’s turning 30. As a fan I’d be excited to have him back tho
Keep Bellinger, Weaver, Rosario. Don’t really care about the rest.
Bellinger (although I’m worried about him stinking in the playoffs again going forward), Tim Hill, Amed Rosario is like the best example of a bench player, and I flip flop on Devin Williams. Send everybody else to the moon.
For similar prices, imo Yanks would keep Williams, Grisham, Hill, Rosario and Yarby
Belli obviously, Tim Hill and Rosario. Also try to retain either Weaver or Williams, with a not so expensive offer. I would love to see other year of Goldy, that gives Rice more freedom to switch positions
Hill is a for sure yes, especially at that price. Bellinger is a yes if it’s reasonable. My ideal deal would be $186M over 6 years, which he might take over something slightly higher due to his love for the Yankees, but if some other team is offering him a lot more than $200M, let him walk.
Belli, williams (i think he got over the yipes and is settled in) Hill, and Rosario. I think its pretty straight foward.
* I have talked myself into getting Tucker because he quite simply is the better player, but I won’t be disappointed if we bring back Belli, even if I am terrified at how the contract will age
* Sorry we couldn’t get you a ring Goldy, but we’ll see you somewhere else mashing lefties or on the Hall of Fame ballot in 5 years
* Devin, Devin, Devin. As someone that never thought we were going to bring him back, first because he would be too expensive, and then because I wouldn’t have wanted him back for free, for the right price I would do it, but someone will probably pay him more and he’ll be elite somewhere else and it will be very annoying.
* Fly, fly away Blackburn
* Thanks for the great (regular) season Grish, go get overpaid by the Mets
* I’m ready to throw out the Lasagna, bye bye
* Opting in that Tim Hill club option will be the easiest decision Cashman makes all winter
* Sure wish the Weaver experience ended better but oh well, go try and get your starter money pal
* Think there’s a world where we bring Amed back but I think there’s better options for what he does out there
* Walk the plank, Yarrrrrb
* Too bad Slater sucked because we 100% would have had him over Grish vs lefties. Sayonara
This might sound crazy but I say keep Cody and Devin and let everyone else go
Keep Hill. Sign Devin (likely cheaper because of this season), and Weaver.
Belli is opting out and seeking a deal around 200. Not sure the Yanks would want to commit so much to a guy who had a good year in what amounts to a contract year. He wasn’t great. Plus the Yankees have some young talent on the farm, though they are yet to be MLB ready.
I think Naylor is an interesting option at first. I couldn’t stand him on the Indians but he’s got swag and juice and could do well in NY.
This would also allow Rice to catch and keep his bat in the lineup.
Do the Yanks go for Bo Bichette? He’s a Jeteresque hitter whose game is comparable to the Captain’s (except for alllll thooooseee ringggssss!) Volpe would be gone
The only other potential free agent target is Tucker. I suspect his deal will be in excess of 400 million and again given all the huge deals on the books, I’m not sure adding a deal of this magnitude and the corresponding implications imposed by the cba is the best use of that money.
Whatever the case, they need a reliable bat behind Judge in the lineup.
Belli if we’re out on Tucker. Everyone else can kick rocks
Keep Bellinger (unless you sign Kyle Tucker), Rosario, Tim Hill (who has a club option, which the Yankees should pick up), Yarby, and one of Williams or Weaver.
Everyone else can go
