How do you describe that that pairing that tandem that you and uh T have just so seamless and it’s looks like it’s been going on for a long time. Yeah, you know, playing majority of the year last year together. um similar I think we have similar mindsets out there when we get on the ice and um we appreciate and uh our roles and what’s expected of us and uh taking on tough matchups, a lot of Dzone starts, keeping the puck out of our net uh penalty kill, you know, kind of being uh just a consistent steady presence back there for our group um is important to us and uh you know, he’s one of the smartest players I’ve played with. He’s always in the right position. And um we talk quite a bit out there, good buddies off the ice. Um you know, both have young families, so lots in common. We love sports and uh yeah, it’s it’s been a good rapport. We’ve uh developed. That’s great. Talking to some of your teammates, I mean, you gladly take the win at night number one, but the sentiment was that there’s still a lot of work to be done. Have you seen um some of that work and those details be addressed? Yeah, I think uh early in the season um you know, you want to be collecting two points no matter how you do it. But um the grand scheme of things, we we got to be a lot better than we were and um in all facets of the game just managing the puck. Um just a consistent 60-minute effort, you know, no no let downs throughout the game and um just building our identity with this with this group we have in here and um it’ll be a good test for us uh on the road tonight. Yeah, I want to ask you about that. I know you’re only focused about what goes on in here or on your side of the ice, but um when you get a team like Detroit that was not happy with game number one, they were quite vocal about it, their coach and others. They’re going to come out giving you their best. How do you match that intensity or do you even worry about that and you just stick to Yeah, I know. You get you got to be aware that uh you know often times when a team didn’t like their last game that they’re going to be uh even more ready from the jump. Um, so yeah, we just got to be prepared for that and uh like I said, you know, kind of it’s, you know, your typical talking points, but it’s important to especially start right and uh manage the puck and don’t give them any freebies. You know, they got a lot of skill up front, so you don’t want to give them any odd unnecessary oddman rushes and um continue to provide pressure on the for check and uh stress their defense and uh have have some ozone time. Frankly, uh is a good way to to defend.
