Barry Barry Lone Pasta is soup. How did you know that? I know. I Yeah, I I figured that. Okay. Hey, I have one more thing to read before you jump in. Can you wait one second? Welcome to our Wasabi Garden studio. Now you guys uh can talk. Uh guys, listen. I am still flying high from Thursday night and I know we can because we’re not on the ice, but there’s a fine balance between carrying that momentum for the Boston Bruins and then resetting and not letting it, you know, get to your head as they try to do a little mini win streak of three games. Is that the only reason you’re flying high? Could it be somebody’s birthday weekend, too? That I’ve been a little busy, too. There’s cake. I’ve had cake every day this week. It’s been crazy. Let her eat cake every day. Every um That’s why you’re flying high. Sugar high. Listen. Um, good win. And I’m not trying to be the buzz kill here. It’s it’s it’s a sane. You got to have a sane approach. Two and 0. How’s this for obvious analysis, partner? Hell of a lot better knowing two. I mean, you needed a good start. You’ve gotten it. Two different games, two different ways to win. And they did it. And what you have to be impressed with is the fortitude of the team. U back to backs are not easy anytime, but especially beginning of the year. So, good for them to come through. Yeah. I also think too the things we saw on Thursday were kind of a continuation to me of not only individual play but team play, team structure, specialty teams, goalendings that we saw improve throughout training camp has been kind of continued here the first two games. Great start, but guess what? This is a tough month, man. This is tough. And you got to reset and do it again. We’re going to kind of work our way backwards starting with this OT winner. Frasier Mitten comes down after a really good play in the corner by Nikita Zadora. pucks to the inside. We talked about it at length in post game. Improves his shooting angle. Watch the little fake there. The defenseman Renzel elects to play the pass when he’s a righty defenseman. So, he goes there and he gives Soder Bloom, the goalender, the the shot and and give the kid credit. It’s an awesome shot. Confident shot and just plays perfectly. Yeah, it was Billy. I think too the other thing that we talked about last game when this happened was that, you know, he’s on the ice in overtime probably going against Badard and Nazar and that’s probably the matchup the coach wanted. Here’s a young kid at 21 getting the confidence from the coach to be out there in overtime against those superstars. And yes, Corpusal made some big saves, but boy, this was a big goal. And the really good feeling of this was when the team came on the ice. Half went to Mitten and the other half went down to Corposalo and boy the fans were into it. It was a great game. We’re definitely going to talk about Corposal coming up, but let’s hear from Fraser with Raycraft after Thursday’s win. Wal Frasier couldn’t draw that up much better than that. OT winner, home opener. How good does that feel? Yeah, great. I think we were uh coming on strong there in the third and deserved it. Corp bailed us out and uh nice to win in front of the fans. Yeah, how about those saves from Corpy and the especially in overtime. The two big ones going to his right and then on Bardarden on the breakaway. Huge huge effort from both goalies in both games. Yeah, Corp was unreal. He uh he deserved that first start tonight. He was keeping us in it there in OT and uh hell of a game by him. Electric player is presented by Granite City Electric Supply. As we said, there would be no overtime winner if it wasn’t for at least three huge saves in OT and all game. Well, that’s what he faced in overtime. Three shots and he made three 10 bell saves. Uh this one was unbelievable. old school acrobatic. I love it, Barry. I love the way he shows athleticism and even though he says he overcommitted, you have to respect the shot, right? You you just you just have to with those kids out there. Bard trying to pick the top corner and and he actually makes this one look beautifully easy. Yeah, it really does. He blocks me. Kind of gives it gives him that little top shelf. Yeah. I’m just a little decoy here and I’m going to grab it. Who does that remind you of skating out like that a little bit? Yeah. A little bit like cheese. A little cheese, right? Yeah. But but I also I I I think one of the key things that we always say about him and last year we saw it uh even when it was a tough season, he competes. Yep. And man did he compete hard in overtime and give his team a chance for the win. All right. Well, we discussed some of the good news, but there was bad news out of Thursday. Hampus Lynholm left the game after 428 time on ice in the first period. He’s now listed as day today with a lower body injury, a different injury than he suffered last season. He’s going to skate on Sunday, be uh reassessed then. Not sure if he’ll make the road trip, West Coast Road Trip, but we’re hoping for that. We got to wait until Sunday. But with that, that means there’s a new person that slots into the lineup. And we have Razer Ringside with us tonight. So, Razer, tell us what’s going on on the blue line with Hampus Lindholm being out. Sure think. A little good news, a little bad news. Bad news always first in my house is that Hampus Lindholm’s out daytoday. So, he’s going to skate and we’ll see if he gets in the lineup Monday, if not later on the road trip. The good news is Jordan Harris gets to check in and as a seventh defenseman playing his 165th game tonight, he gets in the lineup early. You don’t want to wait too long as this season goes for Jordan Harris. There’s a great opportunity. He talked about that this morning. It’s uh it’s a blessing every day you can play in this league and and play hockey for a living. Um every single day is an opportunity, you know, every time you you step on the ice. So, um, honestly, since the day I signed, it’s just been what can I do today, you know, to get better and improve my game and show what I can do. So, um, just taking it, you know, one step at a time. Defenseman you look up to when you were like over here? Um, definitely. I mean, like I got a chance to meet Dennis Ciderberg when I was young and so that was really cool. Obviously, he’s a Dano and having him around has been awesome, I think, for me and the group. Um, you know, as I got older, I got a chance to skate, you know, with Matt Grizzlick more and just to see, you know, how he processes the game and and and uh uses his feet and and everything and now being friends with them, you know, it’s cool. So, I can pick his brain now. So, um, definitely those guys stand out. So, as nice as it would have been to have six healthy defenseman all season long in the National Hockey League, that’s not reality. The Bruins went out, targeted a guy like Jordan Harris to be their seventh guy. He’s coming to camp. He’s in great shape. And like I said before, he spoke. It’s nice for him to get into the lineup sooner than later. He doesn’t have to sit and watch too long. He still feels fresh from the preeason. I expect him to come in seamlessly and and play a great solid game. Razer, thanks so much. All right, let’s take a look at the defense. Yeah, let’s take a look and see what we’re going to have. What a report, Razer. That was very professional with his game, huh? He is. Yes. Outstand. Lori and Makavoy remain together. There’s Jordan Harris. Congrats to Jordan. And I know he’s been in the league for a while, but just to get to play for your hometown team is amazing. And he’s playing with Peak. Peak has been really solid these first two games. That puts Yoki Haru and Zidorov. They they they have it together there. And they’re just trying to minimize the shifting around everything. So there’s your deep pair. We’ll talk about Zidorov as well. What a what a first two games he’s had. And he was seven hits last game. Yeah. With purpose. With real purpose. Renzel is I mean I’m telling you he’s going to think he’s be back at Minnesota playing for the gophers or wish that way can you oh you can’t turn that quick no way but Zorb does a really good play in the corner here taking not one but two guys occup occupying them gets the puck out helps lead to the mitt and goal overall the big guy has really settled in he has become a reliable defender that has snarl that has presence and he’s not taken nearly as many penalties he did and it’s because as we said last game talked about this morning too less is more. Less is more. Let the game come to you. And he’s doing that. And I think this is the way he kind of finished the season off, I thought, last year, that last month. He and Yoki Hario, I thought, were very steady pair coming down the stretch in a tough season for the team and the organization, but I thought he really played well. I thought, you know, when you lose a top defenseman like that so early in the hockey game, you go with 5D and then the right-handed sides that, you know, the Peaks and Yakiharu and Makavoy had to play offside a little bit too on their left side and they did a great job. And then the forwards did a much better job too, I thought of at least slowing down the opposition coming Chicago coming through the neutral zone to kind of give your defenseman a
