Panthers win 6-2 and start the year a perfect 3-0-0!

  1. Best of our 3 wins thus far. Best opponent we’ve played on paper and we ***dominated*** despite the shot totals being closer than how the game really was.

    * Marchand scoring on a breakaway to start the game makes me feel like it’s the 2025 SCF all over again
    * Ullmark was **shaky** as hell tonight for the Sens. E-Rod’s goal where he gloved it, fell forward and it hit the ice and trickled on in after a review. Petry’s goal on the PP also felt like a softie.
    * PP was on fire with good looks generated every advantage. PK has also been lights out.
    * I am seriously digging that incredibly pesky Mackie/E-Rod/Boqvist line
    * Chabot’s high sticking double minor on Eetu effectively ended Ottawa’s hopes
    * Stutzle/Tkachuk felt pretty invisible. Pinto was the one involved in every dangerous chance they had all game (*the goal on Bob’s goof behind the net, breakaway broken stick, ultra garbo time goal, etc…*)
    * No Barkov, no Tkachuk, no Kulikov, no Nosek, no problem

    **We have not trailed in a game through 180 minutes.** Swept our opening homestand. Now to keep it up for our first road trip of the year!

  3. Obviously would rather have Barky in but I feel like him and Tkachuk being out has really lit a fire under the rest of the team, and it doesn’t hurt continuing to see what guys like Lundy and Samo can do given the chance!

  5. We look so good to start this season. Tonight was an offensive explosion but the defense has been incredible. Balinskis and Petry fit together perfectly. The 3 L/R pairs really creates a balance we didn’t even have the last 2 years

  7. Everyone looked beastly tonight. Great win. Watching Senators fans crash out over Ullmark was funny.

  15. I know the boys slapped a touchdown on Ullmark, but I’ll always be a fan of his.

    His OT gaffe in Game 5 in 2023 pretty much kickstarted this magical run, so thanks for that, Linus xD

  25. What a game. Ngl thought sens were gonna win this one with kulikov being out too. But I really think we sent a message before the road trip. Loved Rino getting a sick goal and leafs/tampa lost as well.

    Awesome effort the whole game. And we already know this but bob was stellar.
