  1. If we beat the Leafs and the Leafs beat the Habs, it only makes logical sense that we must be better than the Habs

  2. In the first intermission, they each looked at each other and simultaneously tugged their balls together and became a brand new dominant team. They’ve looked completely different since then.

  3. I’m so happy with the kids Stevie has drafted. MBN, Finnie, ASP and Ed were all a pleasure to watch tonight.

    E: don’t know how I forgot Kasper

  4. Should’ve been two Detroit teams beating Toronto this weekend, but I’ll take this

  5. That’s the type of response they struggled to have after a bad loss where the vibes were down last year, good to see players being held responsible for bad play and the team responding

  6. Honestly, that’s the exact kind of game we needed. Same mistakes made us go down 2-0, then finally playing the way we needed to and ran up the board. Great game! LGRW!

  7. Damn good start to the season! Little shaky at the beginning giving up 2 to the Leafs, but that’s to be expected for the first game of the season.

  8. We needed this so bad. Statement fucking win.

Finnie gets his first point, 2 empty netters, a capable penalty kill featuring ASP, all 3 kids did great, Rayzor gets his 100th, showtime puts up multiple points at even strength, no Travis Hamonic (and JBD played GREAT in his stead), power play still humming, Talbot making big saves, we got goalied to hell and STILL managed to break through, pretty much everything went right.

  9. JBD looked pretty happy and then saw Larkin hyping him up after the handshake line

  10. Never a doubt. On an unrelated note, it’s illegal to look at someone’s comment history.

  11. Raymond, 14th fastest in franchise history to hit #100. He’s in good company.

I love how he didn’t even realize he was at 98 goals coming into the game. He doesn’t even know if someone grabbed the puck!

  12. Ed is only 22 years old. Kid’s gonna be a problem for the rest of the league. One of my favorite defenders to watch just fearless in his decision making, always wants to press the issue and have the puck coming at him, and has the skill and athleticism to make it work
