gets in alone 15 seconds in by a follow of course the former king 420 games with LA. He’ll steer 
that to the corner. Tape centering pass. Yes, he got it right to the net. The defensive core 
a little more experienced. A little older. Glove down at center by Nyquis. Here comes the mess. 
The coffee gave it back. Set drive need shot. Glove save Keeri. Penley coming up to the Kings. 
PR Conor through to the net. Stick save. Keer in the game’s first power play will go to the Jets. 
This is the power play early in this one. 0 for four against the Stars on the power play. Peock 
risks it through and GE knocked that away with Nike. Tames backs off. Nikist again. Peock 
fires right on a high shot snared by Keer. Polardi behind the goal. A follow is at the 
front. Shley Polardi backing to the goal line now. He tried to swing that in short side. Just 
two goals in his last 24 games. High ball scores. The Jets extremely persistent on the power play 
and they have the game’s first goal. Threats from everywhere. That shot from a sharp angle 
from Valardi I think sucks Pepper deeper into his net and he has to respect the fact that shots 
could come at any time from anywhere. It doesn’t find the back of the net, but it does find the 
stick of Kyle Connor who makes a beautiful pass. Grand pick of the Hurricanes. Long time with the 
Penguins with Seattle as well. That’ll come back to the line and just chopped out by Kempy. Pass 
Downey. So Connor and Vali get the assist on Aalo’s power play goal. He’ll make the short 
pass up to the point. Kusme getting a chance to play in a first line for the Kings. Now in 
tight he is Kopitar. Shot stopped by Heluck. to dig away at it. Jets get it back. A common 
theme so far. Morsy twisting at the line and serves it low behind the net. Valardi takes it 
out front. Valardi stopped. Rebound and Connor chipped it wide. Valardi with a bull move. Kyle 
Connor wants it sent to the goal. And this is more of the same. A beautiful play. Cycled puck 
on the backhand. Valardi Connor took the pass. Shley Valardi shot. Little brief uh reaction on 
the save there. Their coach called for more and he’s certainly getting it. Davis Payne will be 
the first to tell you that any good power play. Shley through center. He’ll carry to the line 
finding Connor right back from Mark Shley. Oh, a glove save by Keer. Are these two joined 
telepathically or what? Give and go. Right back to Shley as he splits the defense. 
3/4 of a minute left in the penalty for the barrier. One- nothing. Stolen away by Arvia. 
Always been a good penalty killer. Keep Oh, toe save by Hamok. And he keeps it underneath 
him. Somehow the Jets keep that out of their goal. You think about the level. He’s been standing 
around all afternoon and so he hasn’t even got a chance to get rid of them. A turnover in the 
neutral zone. Beautiful play by Joel Arma. He picks the puck in the neutral zone. He makes 
a play to the back door to Adrien Kempe. And here comes lets it go. A centering pass’s 
goal is first ever against his next team in the Kings. Pepe off the rush. He bring 
it off the goal post. So he’s had two great short-handed chances. Maybe another. Armia 
throws it on goal. Stopped by Haw Popitar. Back to the line. One time Edmonson a hot shot. 
Glove saves. Rebound. Puck knocked it away from Kopitar with the blocker. Keep gets it back, 
steers it to the blue line. Mikey Anderson fires and scores. Anderson a screen in front. 
Halleluck didn’t see it. We’re tied at one. Threshing on that second rebound. Hleabuk doing 
an excellent job in his crease. And then there he doesn’t see it. He just simply doesn’t see it. 
This was a floater. A little D to D and then Anderson just lets it go. And man, it may have 
changed elevation there at the very last second. Skips pass Conor and Anderson is able to get it 
to the line and just out. Adrien Kempe knocked it ahead. He tries to skate into it. Makes the 
pass. Kovatar to Kee. They score. What a goal. Kee gives the Kings their first lead. It’s two to 
one. Yeah, you got the sense that this was coming here. the way that LA was able to turn and tilt 
the rink in their favor. The fierce period on and it’s about tempo and speed. They played a 
lot faster in this top line. Kempe on his toes pops the little puck and look at that minko into 
the hands of Kopitar and quickly to the back door. Look at Kempe. This is a great shot from our 
crew on his strong side drops to one knee and guides this one into the back door. Dlo just late 
and that was an excellent entry with a new stick. Zip that one wide. Just make it to five 
field. Watch out. Smart play won’t get there. Here comes Mark Shley. He’ll bring it 
in. Shley all the way to the goal. They score. Mark Shley ties it at two. Bounces and Mark. We certainly earned this 
one. That’s a heck of a play from Morgan Baron. Great angle against Biffield that 
transitions the puck. It’s not going to be a short-handed goal because Kyle Connor 
jumps out of the box and actually joins this rush. It’s going to be a penalty, but 
Shipley does a nice job sticking with this VIA. Good pass to Kusme sends it out front. Kellar 
aggressively made the save and that one too. everything about it other than scoring. They 
haven’t been able to find the back of the net. And look at the work from Helloba. Confident, 
challenging, out making combination save after combination save. There’s one. There’s two. And 
then there’s first round pick of the Chicago Blackhawks. So would have played a little bit 
with Sean Taves back then. Shot by Morrisy. A rising one. He had a lot on that. I thought he 
did that late in the game against Dallas when the Jets were making a push and certainly 
started this game on fire. Is so good at skating. For takes it off the boards in this 
two- two game. Shley posting up against Cece Valardi first line trying to get Winnipeg 
back ahead. Long shot by Mory Shley score. Two for Shley. Well, they asked for 10% 
more and Shley gives a 10% tip here. Net run. That’s a beautiful shot to an area from 
Morsy and he’s looking for this tip. It’s an area pass. Look at that lob shot. And Shipley 
does a great job getting in front of Keer but behind Cody Cece gets a stick back. Kazmel 
gets the puck to the blue line. Anderson Kopitar Anderson Sean Bucker save pitches it 
from the line. Fourth line for the Kings Mad for Turk and back again just out of Mil’s reach. 
Good step up from Dloer with a shot stopped by Hobach. Kopitar given a wide birth in the 
near circle top. Kee slap pass the yellow ripped that one off the side of the net. Kemp 
got it. Here’s the blocked by Stanley was big fel but he set it up for Kopitar. A possession 
for the Kings. A shot stopped by Hilluck. 10 seconds left and here he comes. Pipe toward 
the line. It’s knocked away and the Jets are going to hang on. They win their first game 
of the season. They beat the Kings 3 to2.
