NHL Highlights | Ducks vs. Sharks – October 11, 2025

between the Sharks and Anaheim. Both teams have played a game. The Sharks lost in overtime, but got a point against Vegas here on Thursday night while Anaheim Thursday opened their season as ASR leaves the net now for an extra skater. And it’s Celbrini with the puck again over to Will Smith. Here’s tooli. He scores. Tyler Tapoley and the Sharks lead it. Well, once again, Tyler tool with that terrific shot. It’s that middle lane sprint. It’s the quick up through the neutral zone. Sharks got the extra attacker up. What a pass on the back hand from Mlin Celler bringing to Smith and then look at that little sauce. Slays it right into the wheelhouse. Striking first. Tyler Tipley with his first goal of the new year. Paling back and then he takes a hit from Good Row. Here’s Reeves trying to get to the net. He scores. Ryan Reeves. Terrific support by Adam Gard. And then he just takes the speed and drives it. Look at that backhand, forehand protecting the puck with one arm. Good pressure in the neutral zone there by Barkley Goodro as well. Little things helped the goal get scored. Barkley Goodrow with the pressure. Puck turns over. Terrific support back from Matlin on this side. It’s controlled by Lome and back around. Cardani get the assist on the goal by Reach. Here’s Goch. His shot goes in off Ascarov and the Ducks come back for the goal. You don’t blame him on that one. When you look at this play, a good job in the neutral zone by the Ducks and it looks like it’s going to be fine, but it goes through the the seven hole. I guess is between the chest and the AR. Garlav Ascarov has got to have that Randy. He’s got to have that that shot. A good shot, but Clinkberg’s providing enough pressure that it’s well out not to start the year. Goier far side still on the power play for a few more seconds and they score off the rebound and it’s Senica with his second in his first two games. Post bounces right back to the front of the net. A little bit of a rotation up top. Watch this. Up top the rotation goes. They drop down for the shot. The shot goes off of Ascarov and Ross Johnston for Anaheim and Ryan Reeves who has a goal. And now he’s got a scrap with the big man for the Ducks. Johnston is 65 232. Re checks in at 62 225. These are heavy weights. Brian Re is smart too. They’re still going at it. Start to tire just a little bit, but the lineman are backing off so far now. Reeves pinned up along the glass. They’re going to get in there. [Applause] Will Smith needs that one. Senica with it, but he gave it up to Curesev. Here’s Celbrini. Hands it off. Ferraro off his foot. Looks for Smith. Went through the slot. Back to the other side. Here’s Celrini. Cuts. Gives front of the net. Mario Ferrari. He scores. [Applause] [Music] [Applause] Got to go back and credit 23 Barkley Goodro for getting everything started at the end of that penalty kill as he gets in on the fore and then they get the change to the shift that they want and a Stanley Cup champion with the Blackhawks. Angel Quinnville Nick let the one-time that saved by Morazzic. This one’s logged ahead. Here’s Korean in alone and he scores. And for the second time in this game, the Ducks answer right back with a goal of their own. It’s 3-3. We talked about how well the Ducks in the first period. Couple of years stretching way out of the zone. Kne is way out of the zone. Picks it up, takes it from his hand to the stick and cleanly beats Yaros Slam Ascarov. Wasn’t even close. And what a play by Khorn and the Ducks to tie it up. Well, you want an entertaining partner for Celibbrini. Clingberg looks the pass for Smith. Clingberg again. Celebr [Applause] Shark. Terrific player movement. Good change of attacks on the angles, the positioning, and this is just a give and go, one time. It’s not even a give and go. It’s just set the man up for a one-time. And Clingberg gains the middle of the ice that if you give them time and space, chances are they’ll cash in. Smart plays by the Guts. This is Zorov again. Denver behind the net. The one timer and gun scores. That’s two power play goals tonight for the Sharks. This is an excellent job by Alex Wenberg. Entry into the zone. Good pressures right there. But as Gutas doesn’t get the puck, Alex Wenberg does. He’s behind Gudas. It’s just getting the puck away from pressure. And Godet rolls into that shooting position and there is no chance for Peter Morazzic. Goddette got 19 goals last year. He can shoot. He can score. He’s good. He’s gets on the fore. Prider just standing on the goal line. Backhand feed through the slot. The play was on. Carlson picks it up. Comb for Cranley. Branley in front. Shot saved by Oscar and Krider converts on the rebound and the Ducks back to within a goal. They’re second on the power play tonight. Absolute beauty on this, but the Ducks keep the pressure on. There’s Crider setting up and he did that with the Rangers. He rolls to the net. It’s a one-touch slot play. Tyandria. He’ll send this one to the net. That tips off a duck stick. Skinner couldn’t get it. Graph’s got it back to the point. Orlock deflected, falls towards Skinner tries to get out of the cloud and scores. Jeff Skinner and the Sharks lead by two. It’s 6-4 from the net. It’s great to have just going to stay with him the whole time. Stays on the puck. Gets it. Absorb the check. Good support. Now watch him go back to the front of the net. turns, gets it, stays with it, stays with it, stays with it, turns and fires. That’s just a guy using his feet, using his hands, using his head and getting first start of this season for Yaroslav Ascarov. 28 saves on 32 shots, but more work to do. McAvish and they score. cutter goier gets his stick on it in the slot and again the Ducks battle back to within a goal about this goal. Good work by the Ducks getting it in the forche. Defensement comes now play. It’s Terry Crider fumbled by Oscar. They score. Prince Crider ties it up with 49 12 seconds left. It’s 66. But unfortunately, the Sharks get caught looking. Chris Crider rolls in. Everybody’s focused on the puck. Chris Crider rolls in. Nobody’s coming back with some speed as they attempt to block the puck right here. Comes across [Applause] trying to block it. Goes through the legs off Mario Ferraro. Nobody’s coming back to collapse to the net to pick up Krider. And once again, the Sharks get scored on late and it’s a tie game. Slips a check from Crider. Skates with it. Plays it up the boards for Tifoli. We go to overtime for the second straight time to start the season. [Applause] Celibbrini tried to slip it through the feet of Carlson. Made the block and gets it ahead. Now here is Carlson over the line. Shoots, scores. Leo Carlson rips one through past Yaroslav Ascarov and the Ducks win. But on this he turns it over. Two on one. Heck of a shot by Leo Carlson. Goes through Yaoslavarov though. So the pass right here. Here’s the play. Instead tries to go through Carlson. Carlson makes the defensive play and it becomes a twoon one. Good shot by Carlson, but again it’s another one through Ascarov and the Sharks with another [Music]

Leo Carlsson scored the game-winner and tallied two assists while Mason McTavish added three helpers of his own to lift the Anaheim Ducks to a 7-6 comeback win in overtime against the San Jose Sharks.

  1. Ryan Reaves looked really good. He certainly does not look washed up. The one complaint I have about him in this game was that he did not play even more. If someone would have told me years ago when he was a Knight that the Sharks would save his career I would have thought what reality are they from. The Leafs certainly could have used him today.

  2. Not every goal was his fault but Askarov does not look like a starter level goalie. The Sharks defense obviously let him down also but that does not change my point. Nabokov has his work cut out for him to turn him into an all star.

  3. Rough outing for Askarov…although I'd only put about 2 or 3 of those goals on him. Lots of defensive breakdowns…2 on 1s, breakaways…Celebrini was good. Shakir M was scratched after having 2 assists because he gave away 2 penalties…and yet all the players that committed penalties today will get away scot free…

  4. "I hope we don’t have to go for McKenna…I just talked to the coach," the billionaire said, according to Sharks writer Sheng Peng. "'No McKenna here now!'" And (GM) Mike (Grier) said, "'Absolutely not, absolutely not.'"

A sure thing top 3 pick will do more for the sharks cup run in the 2030s than meaningless wins will now.

  5. Чёртова, нервная перестрелка.
Сегодня был прекрасный открытый хоккей. Оборона,не неслышали )))
Мразеку и Аскарову можно сказать что они железные мужики)))
