  1. Yep, was one of the best non-Giants games I’ve watched. To be fair the Mariners are my AL team, so I was a little invested.

  2. When Naylor stole 3rd because he was aware he could take a ridiculously big lead (since the pitcher couldn’t hear over the crowd noise), I was thinking “OK Giants, *that’s* how you do it”.

  3. It was a lot of fun! We kinda had it in the background, then started looking around the 8th, then by the twelfth we were glued ! Great baseball.

  4. Skubal was such a warrior and took that entire team on his back. Was rooting for the M’s but god what a pitcher

  5. I was at the game. Giants are my forever team but living in Seattle, I cheer for them too (except when they face the Giants). The whole thing was a long 5 hour roller coaster ride- emotionally exhausting. Everyone stood up the entire game except between innings. The electricity in the stadium was off the charts. It’s now my second favorite in person game ever just behind the last game in 2010 where the Giants clinched against San Diego.

  6. Hell of a game … I for one love extra inning baseball and I DESPISE the ghost runner. Last night doesn’t ever happen with that garbage rule and removing for from the post season is of course how it should be. Keep all your other changes but abolish the ghost runner for good. It absolutely ruins and waters down the game and I hate it. Maybe it’s playing 20 years of baseball and loving the game since I was 5, being a baseball nerd and historical lover of the game … whatever. Worst rule change ever and I doubt we ever go back …

  7. It’s been a good postseason. I usually watch everything I possibly can, even when two teams I can’t stand are fighting it out (the 2024 World Series is a good recent example of *that*), and this year it’s paying off, because I’m getting to see so many good games, so much emerging talent. Like Toronto’s young Trey Yesavage no-hitting the Yanks into the sixth. I like three of the four teams still standing.

  8. Ngl one of the best parts was the very end when Flaherty was vehemently shaking off his catcher.

Like naw dude I’m not throwing that. Stop asking

  9. It was a great watch. Brought back memories of game 2 of the 2014 nlds, an 18 inning marathon capped off by a towering Brandon Belt Homer. I was hoping big dumper was gonna have a similar moment but alas
