So, it’s going down tonight 8:08 PM on Fox. The 87 and 75 Detroit Tigers on the road versus the 90 and 72 Seattle Mariners. Detroit finished second place in the AL Central. Seattle just barely inch past the Astros in the LS. They ended up finishing first place. Detroit 55.5% chance to win. Seattle at 44.5. Very close to a 50/50 with the fans right now. Seattle, they’re the underdog. The Tigers 1 and a half point favorites. The overunder’s 5 and a half. That is a crazy low overunder. Vegas sees these teams putting everything they have in this game. They have absolutely nothing to lose. Throw it all out there. Roll out starters, bullpen guys, do anything you have to do to conserve a lead, keep the score low. Detroit’s minus 137, Seattle plus 116. Look at these teams. Obviously the leading home run hitter for the Tigers. Green 36 home runs. And on the other side, Raleigh 60 home runs this year from the catcher position. 125 RBI’s. Both these teams have pretty good offenses. Seattle the more balanced offense, but when it comes to pitching, both these teams have really good pitching. Looking at team stats, Tigers 4.7 runs per game, 198 home runs, 61 steals of 3.95 runs per game. On the other side, the Mariners 4.7 runs a game, 244 average 238 home runs, that’s top five, 161 steals, that’s top five. And they were only giving up 3.87 runs per game. But no matter what, everything culminates here. Everything comes down to this game today. It’s going to be a crazy one. And this is a very good pitching matchup for Detroit Tigers. They have a guy who pretty much this entire season was labeled as the front runner for the American League Sai Young Award. Scoo’s on the mound. There’s no one else the Tigers would rather have pitching for them than Scooble tonight. Things just kind of line up perfectly for them. They have their ace on the mound. Game five with the season on the line. So far for the playoffs this year, 1-0 record, 1.84, 84 point innings, 23 strikeouts. He is striking people out left and right. That’s a really good strikeout percentage for the year. This year he finished the regular season with a 13-6 record, a 2.21 array, 241 strikeouts, and 195.1 innings for his career. 3.08. You really can’t ask much more for this guy this season. He’s going to give you everything he has. And you got to use that bullpen sparingly. Use everyone you have. do whatever you need to do to get the win to conserve the win. But on the other side, the Mariners, they’re going with one of their young studs. They’re going to have George Kirby on the mound right now. So far through the playoffs, 0 and0 record, 3.6. He’s had five innings, eight strikeouts. He’s also a strikeout pitcher. A lot of pressure on him today. So far through the regular season, 10-8 record of 4.21, 137 strikeouts over 126 innings. He’s a strikeout pitcher for his career. 3.58 RA. had three straight sub 3.6 RA seasons. This season was on the higher end, 4.21, but overall very good pitcher and he’s been big in big moments throughout his career. But he has a young career. He’s a young pitcher here. Will he be able to live up to the pressure versus this Tigers team with the season on the line in front of his home fans? That has to account for something. They are in Seattle and Seattle played such good baseball the month of August, the month of September. Got themselves all the way to the front of the AL West. But all of that doesn’t matter anymore. Take all those things. Take the record. Take the stats. Throw them out the window. It all comes out of this game. That’s it. It’s just one game. I think the Tigers have the better starter going today. Seattle the more balanced aggressive lineup. But at the end of the day, we got to pick someone to win it. It’s a 50-50 one. It’s going to be close. It’s practically a pick. I’m here because it’s a game five elimination game. But give me the Tigers walking away with the win. They win it. They cover the spread. I’ll go with the over. Guys, that’s our breakdown. That’s our prediction for our game coming up today, Friday, October 10th. Make sure to hit that like button. Make sure to subscribe to the channel.
