“One of the worst constructions of a roster I’ve ever seen” A-Rod on Yankees elimination in ALDS

Honestly, from the entire organization, he’s the one guy with circle that has least to be to blame. I mean, he’s got a lot of talent, but for me personally, one of the worst construction of a roster I’ve ever seen. You have three left-handed catchers, you have five DH’s, you have a first baseman in and out. It’s just a very, very difficult hand for Boone. And honestly, uh, they were exposed against a a much better Jay’s

  1. I would say he is right and he's wrong. It is definitely a poorly constructed roster. Again, look at the '98 Yankees. 114 wins and swept in the Chanmpionship. Not ONE 30 hr player on the roster. They had a bunch of players that hit .300 or better who hit between 20-28 homeruns. They had a starting pitching staff & bullpen with an ERA of 3. They were solid defensively at every position but Bernie was the only gold glover. Compare that to the 2025 Yankees and you clearly see his point. However, Aaron Boone's voice clearly does nothing to guide or motivate these players anymore. I think he tries to be their buddy too much instead of calling them out and being someone to demand excellence. It is time to
move on to another voice and style. He has hit his ceiling.

  2. As a Blue Jays fan, I agree. This isn’t Boone’s fault at all. The front office should’ve given those young guys time to develop in the minors, and they should’ve placed a greater emphasis on roster depth and defence.

  3. Jeter will never , ever give you a comment that he hasn’t thought about and filtered for image and brand enhancement prior to releasing it from his mouth whereas hey Rod will tell it to you like it is and I do appreciate that and I’m a little tired of cheaters polished downwards with less meaning. It gets old. I’m a Yankee fan and I love Jeter. He was a great player, but I could do without listening to him commenting. He doesn’t add too much & is boring, for lack of a better word

  4. Bones problem is he makes bonehead decisions like choosing to sit Jax Chisholm and Ben rice in game 1 of the wild card.. and not pinch running for Paul goldsmiddt it’s choosing to take Freud out cause analytics said he was at 71 pitches, but the guy has been dominant and the other team pitcher is going 8 innings.

  5. He's not wrong. Yankees seem to love watching their teammates hit home run after home run. How about focusing on better pitching and not hone runs. They still haven't learned their lesson. Focus on better pitching they have enough hitters.
